Lady Thatcher. She was a great woman. God bless lady Thatcher.
She’s born for this. She epitomizes the creed of good performers “to never let them catch you acting”. Ms Anderson is good, but I think she gets the tone a little wrong. Ms. Streep gets it right consistently, not mention she favors Mrs Thatcher more from a physical standpoint.
Streep is a chameleon, and she shifts slightly each time she becomes a role. I say "becomes" because she doesn't act, she "becomes* that person. It's eerie really how she does it. She is in a league of her own, and ALWAYS has been.
She has a point, no attack on a nation's sovereign territory or it's citizenry, no matter how small or "insignificant" as the US SoS put it, should be tolerated at all. This is a true leader people.
When do we start applying this logic? Does the will and wealfare of the people not matter?
Britain invaded large parts of the world for centuries, repressed local populations and sent British emigrants there to be the highest classes. Do you seriously think that there were British people on the Falklands/Malvinas before the British invaded them, when they lie close to the Argentinian coast?
The islands remained de facto dependent from Argentina for everything, in fact they were being discussed for years between UK and Argentina.
Both governments simply sought the opportunity to distract people from their home problems. Additionally, The UK had to prove their empire was not ending in disgrace.
