    Now I have a excuse to cover myself in duct tape

    Thanks for making this video!
    I can’t wait to eventually make one or a couple in the future. But since I’m only interested in partials, this won’t help as much.
    Always good to see/watch how it’s done. ^^

    Would hand sewing the cuts be another alternative?

    I wonder if there is a way to do one by yourself

      I was wondering the same thing! Like: Atm I don’t have anyone I Really trust to help me.
      But I’m unsure myself, I think it has to be a multi person job.

      The only other option I see is if you have a body suit pattern and make a sheet dummy.
      1: You get a bodysuit pattern, they're the form fitting clothes kinda like a morph suit but without the head part
      2: Trace it out to your size on some old sheets or buy some sheets. Sheets are a relatively inexpensive fabric option or old curtains.
      3: cut it out.
      4: sew it together.
      5: stuff it and pattern out your fursuit.
      My only warning with this method is making sure it fits so I'd reccomend sewing a zipper, velcro, buttons or maybe you could use a strip of tape to keep it together, to get in and out of it and then fix any places that need to be fitted better and the pattern might need to be slightly altered to make the arms stick out since that's important for fursuit making (I think tracing your armpit area straight out could fix this problem?). So if you don't mind the extra work this could be a good alternative for introverts and people who don't want others to help them.
      I'm currently cosplaying as Jupiter from team Galactic (Pokemon) so I had to get a bodysuit pattern, trace it out onto some sheets and make a prototype then I go get the fabric for my actual cosplay and make it. I was thinking about making a second one out of sheets to use for making a fursuit. You can also make the sheet suit and stuff it to make multiple duct tape dummies from it and then just unstuff it to put it away when you don't need it.
      Also had another thought! Could get some form fitting pants and form fitting long sleeve shirt and sew the two halves together. I still reccomend cutting a line down the back and using a zipper/velcro to get in and out of it for adjustments but you might not need that since they're already form fitting. (I wouldn't use stretchy leggings but form fitting ones would work so stuffing them doesn't change it from your correct body size). You can yet again keep it too and make multiple duct tape dummies from it or just use it.

    Do you cut the painter suit too? Im confused

    • @astardragondog
      @astardragondog 2 года назад +1

      They do one layer of tape sticky side out and then another later of stuck side down so none of the sticky parts of the tape should be touching the paint suit

    • @astardragondog
      @astardragondog 2 года назад

      At least, that’s how I would do it. Now watching it again I think they tape directly onto the paint suit

      once it's been cut off the person, let it dry if it is sweaty, then fold it up and compress it as flat and small as possible and place it in as small a box as possible without damaging it. Then mail the box out to your suit maker.
