  • Sorry for the wait yall!! This tutorial had so many different things I had to film. I hope this is the in-depth tutorial you all wanted! Obviously the sewing part is gonna be different for each head, but maybe you can see the order of steps i took and learn an idea of how to do it on your own head.
    Let me know if anything here was confusing!
    As well as commenting other tutorial ideas :3 I can only make tutorials on stuff I'm currently commissioned to make, so some stuff will only come later. The next paws I'm sewing together is sometime in October 2020 or so, and I don't have the time to make and film a pair until then, so unfortunately that tutorial will have to wait.
    --------
    00:00 making patterns
    08:45 transferring patterns to fur
    15:36 quick sewing lesson
    21:23 sewing the face
    26:17 making the nose
    29:50 glueing the fur
    34:38 attaching the chin
    35:59 finishing the ears
    37:24 shaving the face
    38:47 sewing the lining to the neck
    40:08 finishing the eyes

    Right now a lot of people I want to commission for a partial either don't take commissions from minors or won't take commissions for some time so I'm thinking about making my own mini partial. The head is really the only part I'm stumped on so this is a big help!!

    • @freckledcatcreations
      @freckledcatcreations  4 года назад +17

      You are SO welcome!!! And yeah, it's not that they hate minors, it's just that a ton of minors go behind their parents back, and then the parents tell the maker to give the money back, even when the maker has already started work. There are still some makers who will work with minors though, like me! I've seen most people just ask for a copy of the parents ID , and have an email from the parent saying the commission is accepted or something.

But for a quick answer: you're looking for luxury shag, beaver, rabbit, or seal fur! they're all various lengths. "fox" fur is also usually fine, but it's thin, so you can't shave it down for a face. it's best for long parts. look at Howl Fabrics fur, Fursuitsupplies, BigZ Fabric, and Mendels !
