Killing Chronos right when the Moros countdown hits one for the 32 heat run is something out of an epic! So hype!

Echo can only be gifted after talking to her in my experience. It plays on her repeating the last words she heard, and the gift dialogue would break that immersion if you could gift then talk.

@@GoXDS Gifted her first time I saw her doing this, Talked to her, walked away forgot to check if I could gift walked back and gifted.
That makes so much sense! Her trinket was my very last one, since I just couldn’t figure it out. I thought it might have had something to do with progressing her story, so I just kept plodding away. I happened on it by accident when I was sprinting around getting resources.
Not having Exteme Measures yet probably bloats the difficulty for 32 fear right now. That's around 6 fear that can be freed up or 10 if you go EM4. Plus there are a lot of other pacts that aren't in the oaths yet
i really hope they add EM later on. getting to fight a harder version of the bosses you got used to is such a wind of fresh air
@@AutumnRa1n I think it's almost guaranteed we'll get it at some point so I'm optimistic. My biggest wish is we get more bangers from Scylla and the Sirens when you do EM with them.
@@AutumnRa1n EM wasn't added until either the last patch before EA or the previous one. Either way it was one of the last things added to the game when the entire game was done main content wise and they were just adding more side stuff like secret charon boss/last hidden aspects etc
Fun fact, if you press attack when you get sheeped you do a mini dash, sheep actually has decent movement by spamming dash and attack
In the fields I realised the smaller rewards you can basically just run past the units defending it and pick up the power up and bounce 😂
Also i hate when Nem is in the room where Echo is. Shes so annoying
@Haelian I'm sure you've thought about it, but JIC: you can cheese the triple damage in biome 2 and 3 by getting dinged with steam/thorns with the traps in the room. I did a 30 run today and that saved it before I got Hephy armour.
I got my first win today with a Zeus Omega cast build. Picked up arachne's bonus cast damage dress in the Crossroads and managed to keep it all the way through the Chronos fight, winning with great fashion.
Second win I managed to get was with Hephaestus staff, got his attack CD down to 4 (tbh, should've left it at 5/6 seconds) and then his boon that afflicts foes that take his blast damage with vent. It wasn't that great, but it was enough to get through.
wait but winning with Arachne's outfit is kinda iconic though, props to you!
Cat companion should do extra damage to Tony.

I struggle so hard with the Desperation deadlines in this game. If I have any Fear that slows the game down (like the extra health or mobs) then even the basic 9mins desperation is a no-go from me. I ended up doing my first 32-fear run with no Desperation at all, just carefully picking my way through with the damage, limited healing, no magic, 20% move speed, and the onions (which actually syncs quite nicely with the boon choice Vows)
I think its really difficult to make the tight deadline in this game. Especially Ephyra. They should change it to add 1 min to all fear timers (i'd prefer 2 min added) and make it so when you use the bats in Ephyra it doesn't count down the timer.
I feel like tight deadline should differ for surface vs underworld

Now the timers are 9 minutes, 7 minutes and 5 minutes. Hes petitioning to make it 10, 8, 6 minutes.

I think they need to make the channel scale with the max amount of mana you spend. With Aspect of Pan, it specifically feels bad to try to fully channel it
what do you mean by that? as it is, Pan is 3 per extra dagger, is it not? do you mean total channel speed should stay constant, so channel time per extra dagger should go down as you increase max? guess it does feel kinda bad to channel max pan, but the only other thing off the top of my head that miiiight have the same issue is Axe Hammer where you use +40 on top of the 25
@@GoXDS as a seasoned pan user, sometimes you can't even get a full charge of all your daggers before your cast disappears. At best you half charge your special to get it like 2 times in 1 cast, basically rendering the extra daggers useless for the cast combo. It needs some adjustment unless they just want you to not use pan's intended mechanic and just shotgun blast full charge
There are hammers that increase channel speed both for pan as with the axe. They are very good hammers ofc, but I think that is fine as mechanics go. Would love a hammer re roll though...
The charge time should be the same. It should give you more knives in the same charge time but just cost more mana. It’s soooo slow to charge when you pick the hammer which gives 16 more knives.

Actually with pan, spiral hammer is very good even if some of them didn't hit. It still deal huge damage especially with pan where in cast they follow enemy.
it's amusing to see the Vengeance procs when getting sucked. you're not taking dmg, but the sucks usually do short stun.
Sureshot Flurry kinda invalidates Aspect of Pan if you're not max channeling it. as you mentioned, targeting can get a little wonky with the casts after that, too
I actually really like Poseidons Magic Regen especially when using a Dagger Special build. Each knife hit can trigger it so you end up with a ton of bubbles!
Yes poseidons magic regen (as basically everything poseidon) scales well with the amount of hits you do. Great on pan aspect, all torch aspects.
All 16 shots hit with spiral when your stood next to the enemy with the cast. Second best in slot hammer for Chiron after hook knives. Maxing out the special is highest dps
I am also trying 32 Fear right now. Do you remember which Fear's changed in the run?
I'm pretty sure dark side bugged out on me once, and made it so I couldn't dash. In the middle of the sirens fight. Safe to say I didn't make it to the end of the fight.
Mine bugged out and i could only dash, half solution in that case is to sprint instead of walking
I had it so I couldn't walk, only dash or sprint in the last overworld boss. Lived with like 2 health at the end, that fight is already so stressful for me and my hair was white by the end of it.
Yep happened to me with Hecate. I could dash but I couldn’t walk or sprint, i would just twitch like half a step. It fixed itself after beating her though
I couldn't dash in the hecate fight. I think it was after I got hit with sheep while in dark side

yo dude that hex is insane, you are almost constantly invincible
It deals almost zero damage and he has tight deadline on, using that hex a lot is basically losing the run in most cases.

Where did this extra DD came from? The stone heart one. Already beat Chronos but didn't seem to see the option
the cat gives an extra DD that revives with 10hp (you can buff it with meta progression) - while the frog gives you 10 max hp (also can be buffed with meta progression)

Is the vow of foresaking( boon remuval) bad? Dont you get legendary boons easierly by using it?
for Legendaries you need 3 bones - if you want to use foresaking to force Legendaries, you have to keep the bones you need in mind to not lock yourself out of the Legendary. Baisicaly, you have to keep rerolls to "save" the bones you must get from getting blocked.
So yes, but you need a lot of rerolls for it to work

Wouldn't arachne keepsake help with x4 1st hit? Dmg can't exceed your armor, am i right?
it doesn't give you armor if you have no armor, so it'd only help once

you can get flame cast + cyclone and the cast alone will proc p status - then get the skill that fires the cast out, and zeus lightning cast. all of those together is cast only win. attacks and specials are just cleanup lol.
Zeus lightning cast is a core cast boon, so you can't combine that with Hestia's Flame Cast. and for that matter, Demeter Freeze can combine with Cyclone just fine as well
Demeter cyclone on cast is just really really really goated as a p status activator
@@GoXDS i mean the one where it fires out the cast and does lightning damage (lightning lance). That one should work with hestia flame cast and demeter cyclone, for three in one action

"and zeus" separately. Hestia also has one that does the same, so that might be easier, as you're less reliant on having correct god pool

Maybe it’s just me but the magic priming fear feels kind of a bit much?
it's completely free if you go for a build that doesn't rely on Omega at all. this makes starting with 0 Magick also completely free. my first 32 Surface and Tartarus were both completely Magick-less.
@@GoXDS the problem is that it completely deletes an entire mechanic in hexes from the game.
@@dodang_9147 it's fiiiiiine. most of them suck anyways, especially unupgraded. it's still possible to regain magick anyways and with Arcana, you should generally have enough max Magick that the priming shouldn't be too crippling
Yes the priming is literally the most free fear you can take. Just taking the titan and the other arcana card that gives you +5 magic and health every few rooms is more than enough to offset it.
Even on builds heavily relying on omega its still free fear. (Got a 32 clear with charon axe + apollo special)

With the talk of Hecate maybe being a baddie, I guarantee you, Ares is a baddie. At least a minor one. The god of war is probably THRIVING now that a war is actually going on, and he’ll probably do anything to keep it going as long as he can, even oppose Melinoë. He’s my bet for a surface world boss
He's a god of war but he's also interested in winning wars, not just having one that goes on forever.
Hecate being a baddie doesnt make sense → she is the only reason you are alive and trained you to object Cronos, and tought you how to escape to the shadows so you wouldnt get cought.
At most she might be against returning the fates, but I dont think she is a baddie.
Ares sounds interesting, but I dont think so, we have seen his personality in Hadas 1
Nah, I think it's gonna be a Heracles/Icarus/Artemis situation where he'll come down, help you clear a room, give a boon and dip

this is only kinda relevant based off attempt 1, but Spiral Knives + Hook Knives + plus some Hestia boons crashed my game a couple days ago
i think Spiral Knives plus Aspect of Pan is probably one of the strongest possible combos. i killed Chronos second phase in two or three uses i think.
There was a bug with Hestia, I think they fixed it in the new patch

I noticed that when Hecate turns you into a sheep, you can move faster by spamming dash and attack. It does a weird sort of double jump when doing that.
the sheep attack is a headbut that does 5 dmg, the headbut moves you forward
