- Buying a vintage Bigfoot travel trailer with a baby on the way was... perhaps not the best idea in hindsight but thankfully we have family to make it happen!

Thank goodness for your father what a gem this man is.
💯
What a fabulous dad and mum you have. How beneficial to have such a trusted and talented asset to help you, at the right price. Manual skills are a dying art.
I love to see how much more comfortable your parents are becoming on camera.
We’re breaking them in slowly eh? 😂
Your parents are awesome people. Your dad, especially, is hilarious without even saying hardly a word! Totally enjoyed watching this and look forward to seeing more in two weeks.
We’ll have to let him know, lots of videos with them to come 😬😂
Levi's parents are so talented from wood working to electrical. I'm always amazed.
Just you wait and see, we have a lot more work with them to come 😅
The resemblance between Leah and her mom is wild! Twins!! Beautiful community you guys have. I just had my babe in August and you need a village 💗
I can just picture the incredible things Frankie's grandparents are gonna teach him...what a gift of family you have. By the way...HAPPY 31st BIRTHDAY TOMORROW, LEVI!! May you be blessed with another fantastic year of adventures! (and easy trailer-fixes!!)
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes!
come for the trailer content, stay for Levi's dad roasting him in the most wholesome way XD
Yeah, the mind of an actual builder! My husband was a third generation builder(1st to go to college for it, so had the architectural expertise too), loved watching him create! He passed away 25 yrs ago this December from Non-Hotchkins Lymphoma at 43 yrs young. It was lovely to see your Dads footage, took me back to enjoying watching my husband create! Thanks!😊😢❤
You both have the best parents!!!
Hey 👋🏼 I’m glad you’ve been able to find solutions with the help of your parents. What a huge blessing. I was just wondering if I missed a video when you explained what your parents do for a living. I realized your dad was a carpenter since he’s made things for you, but your mom’s and electrician? That’s so awesome!
Mom could be an electrician! Or a mechanic honestly! She’s got a brain for stuff like this but she was a school teacher for 30+ years!
LMAO! I love how your father teases you!! Awesome parents to help with this huge project :)
Montage music is on point with this one
So much fun! Go Guy and Jean!!
So fun! I can relate to your comments about your dad being a perfectionist and the challenges. My brother is the same way and he helped me do our 1969 camper and it was very stressful. Like you guys I wanted to learn along side him which I did but it was still a lot! The lights are so exciting I remember doing ours after being shown how and it was so exciting that everything worked. Can’t wait to see more of the transformation.
Love that!yeah it takes all types! lol
It isn't bad, just wanted me bite at a time, most get overwhelmed…
Oh and test fit before you hard-wire lights and other things first
It totally makes sense to move the camper… maybe think about taking a pause for the holidays? Are you aiming to live in it next? What’s the hustle about?
We are going to watch you all regardless of what you do… hope this hits you the right way! Enjoy this special time. 💗
Yeah you've got the right idea! We're going to be taking a step back in the consistency but the project will be back eventually!
Love 💕 how all the family is coming together not only to welcome baby, but also to help with the other baby 🚐.
How awesome that your parents are helping you out with the big projects in your life: baby and trailer!
Ohhh Frankie’s bigger now!!!! Hi Frankieeee 🤩
Oh my gosh, I just love your mom and dad. It warms my heart, seeing how they want to help and all the pre work done, sending you videos and everything! 🥰
Frankie is loved by so many! ❤
He certainly is a cutie 😊
Yeah we’re super lucky honestly. And you are going to be seeing a lot more of them in this series! Haha
@@LeahandLevi I can’t wait! 😊
Bless both of your parents for all the help they're giving you and the trailer!!!!! wow what a project!! snuggles and kisses to Frankie and big hugs to you both being new parents!!!Love the video share!!
Thank you so much for being here! 🥰
Your parents are phenomenal!!!!! What a team!
Glad that it's coming along, little by little! Glad to see your perspective working alongside your dad! You're in good hands! Glad you got to have a great Thanksgiving (with LOTS of guests!) and hellos to Frankie!
Those magic heat-shrink solder connections are great - they're simple and do the job well. Don't take that "cheater" crap from your mom. 😂 Progress is being made, keep it up guys - you've got this!
What a memory your making!!
So fun watching you two adventure through this project. Light’s look great! Can’t wait to see the next steps for the roof
Everytime one of these videos on the trailer comes out I'm reenergized to work on the car I'm restoring. Big projects can get so daunting, especially since I'm a do it right once personality and the car is a learn as I go project... You guys have the best attitude about the trailer and it gets me motivated to keep after it on my car. Learning to weld is next!
That is awesome! Honestly having these videos to keep us accountable is a massive thing. And having my parents there to kind of keep up with about the project and to talk things through with you know?
Looks like your dad is a true cabnet maker! You're lucky to have both his and your mom's input and expertise, not allot of parents would think, hey my son and his wife just had a baby I'm going to step in and give them a good head start! They more often say, hey you started it, you finish it!
Glad to see you having a good time working on your project with your pops.
Im just in awe of all that you guys are taking on right now 🥰 Hoping you will have so many beautiful memories coming in the future too!!!
I hope so too! Haha 😂
You guys got so much done! Thats awesome! Cant wait to see next progress video :)
Haha Frankie cam was fun! Leah, your mom looks so much like you!
I love Levi's stoke level for life
You are your own stoke you know? Self stoke is always necessary
A handsaw miter-box is usually a good investment. Just watch out, some are fully adjustable and some are just set for a few angles.
Those heat shrink solder connectors are great and they come in a lot of sizes.
Yeah uncle john put us onto those connections and they’re great 👍🏼
In South Africa, instead of saying "run and gun", we say " 'n boer maak a plan' this means that a farmer makes a plan... and this means the same.
Love this! Haha
pretty awesome parents, they knew to invest in good lighting
Might have been helpful to determine where you floor to ceiling cabinets are going first, then build supports off of that structure. Also I would have put the center supports right on the roof vents so you could screw them into the frame. You should also be running additional heat shrink over your solder connection.
Great work blending the multiple story lines together! I’m curious which would get more views/comments: an all-family or all-trailer video?!
Good question! Probably all family would do better with subscribers and all trailer would do better with the algorithm… that being said I don’t really know what works anymore 🤷🏻♂️
My brother, Levi.
It's been a while, really missed you. I wish I lived close to your neighbourhood, so we could spend quality brotherly time, but unfortunate am in Australia, but will keep you in my prayers 🙏
Best my brother,
Australia.
Thanks for being here friend!
Awesome videos sorry I’m sooo late
I know spray foam is expensive, but if you were able to spray foam with closed cell foam you would add strength to the overall structure of the trailer.
And it would be super insulated for ALL climates
I THINK IT WAS PRETTY SMART FOR YOU TO PUT ON THE COSTUME FOR THE ROOF OF THE CEILING NOTHING CRAZY ABOUT YOU ARE PROTECTING YOURSELF SMART MOVE 😊
Leaving the lights on may help, they may create some heat too.
wow how awesome mom knowing all about electric stuff!
She’s very smart with systems and stuff 🙏🏼❤️
Hey, a first time solder is a big deal! I remember getting drafted as a kid to help solder the church’s new pipe organ one summer (my mom worked as a secretary & I just hung out there as free babysitting). I was the only one small enough to crawl around & reach the wires. The church handyman made a huge deal out of it being the first time I soldered anything.
Hahaha that’s so cool. It’s so cool to feel like you can do something. 🥰
Hi from Australia 👋🏼 I have a vintage fibreglass caravan that the outside is pretty rough, wondering if you are going to be sharing the tips the fibreglass man gave you for cleaning up the outside?
Haha my dad is so similar! Of your gonna do something, might as well take the time to do it right!
Doesn't the trailer have to pass inspection and be insured before it can be on the road? That's how it works here in New York State.
You keep your dad’s brain young!
lucky you are tall!
👍
You'll get there. Be grateful Frankie isn't a toddler yet, less for you to miss. ; )
Edit: also, it's going to be amazing.
Just soaking it up!! 🥰🥰🥰
👏👏👏
omg Leah is a photocopy of her mom
Mishaps regarding the caravan aside, it’s nice to extended families pitching in.
How big of a temptation is it to say screw it and just pay someone to fix it 😂
Hahaha believe me the thought crossed our minds (but then so did our bank account)
🙏🏿👊🏿
Keep on crushing it! I know you guys will get it fixed up!! On a side note I had a question, I know you bought a second hand trailer to lessen the environmental impact but has all the work and renovations countered that? Would getting a new one have been better for the environment? I am in no way trying to be critical I’m just genuinely curious? I’ve always dreamed of doing something similar!
I mean the build certainly would have been less impactful if more of the original was salvageable but at this point I think it’s still probably better than something 100% new
@@LeahandLeviif you choose your materials carefully this COULD be a more sustainable build than one from the factory. You are off to a good start with the LED lights. If you keep on track with a sustainable focus your trailer build could really differentiate itself from the other RUclipsrs’ and it could make episodes even more interesting than they already are. You wouldn’t even need to be building all the time, you could just talk about sustainable material and product selection.
I’d love to see an attempt at using reclaimed materials for the inside! It’s difficult, especially when weight is such a significant consideration for safety and even fuel consumption reasons, but should be doable!
Personally I don’t think it’s worth it … your parents are wonderful to be so supportive & helpful. It’s just a challenge project & you will be proud of it when done . However , I would have just saved my penny’s & bought a newer more decent travel trailer . 😂❤
Maybe! But that would have been boring 😅
I’m hiring your dad to come finish my van build haha
He’s not taking on any more jobs at the moment 😅😂
@@LeahandLevi 🤣🤣🤣
I was so confused...I had initially thought Paige was Leah...I had no idea Leah has a sister that pretty much looks exactly like her......
Also, 13:02 can you get anymore Canadian? 😄
Yeah there’s some similarities for sure! 😅Thanks for the comment!
Time to cut the top half of the trailer and turn it into a garbage hauling trailer. You can start with the stuff that you took out of the trailer
Hey a while back y'all shared a video about investing in sustainable stocks, is it possible to make an updated video on that? Im going to be investing in the very near future and want to make sure im trusting my money to people who are doing good things.
Talk to a local credit union in your area for better options that are relevant to where you live. Most ESG stocks are tech focused but we chose a portfolio that have renewable energy as a part of it too.

So your Dad's name is Frankie?
You think he's 6 foot 8 inches tall? 🤨 Maybe a short 6' 8"... 🤔 That's probably funnier said out loud and after you watch the section where Leah was asking for guesses about Frank's weight and height. She may have been guessing his weight though. 😅
This thing is going to kill someone the moment they take this thing on the road
