And all this time I just needed a YOYO. Now what do I do with my room full of equipment. I guess I will get rid of them and buy a box to keep my YOYO in.
The best way for him. On the triceps extensions for the full range of motion you actually have to lift your upper arms up since the long head attaches to your shoulder blade.
Same man, ive had pain in my right elbow from doing heavy skullcrushers for years now.... I just cant get the same tention as on my left arm since that shit happened.
@@imsentinelprime9279 yeah I never do it with barbel ….I do it with light dumbbells…they give a crazy pump …I recommend you to do this …I hope you feel really good burn in your triceps
The "21 reasons" series is pure gold I don't think I've seen any other of this kind of video that is THIS well explained and versed into the movements.
John, you will never be able to do full range of motion with the triceps push downs with those biceps in the way! Love your content. Thanks for being you.
Thanks again!! I live out in the middle of nowhere and you are my trainer! Only been lifting weights for 3 months and seeing huge improvements using your workouts. I'm learning so much.. thanks coach!
if only these vids were around when I first started decades ago, would have prevented so many unnecessary injuries and setbacks due to shitty magazine articles and bro science.
I am a new follower and I watch his video almost every day. I am in my upper 60s but have been working out most of my life. I am not a body builder but someone trying to keep in shape. I really admired him and did not know he had passed away, sad to hear! What a very nice guy and I really can not believe it. My condolences and I will continue to watch his videos since they are the best. RIP buddy.
Speaking of Jeff Cavaliere, he recommended doing overhead extensions with a single dumbbell on an incline bench specifically because it puts your shoulders in a safer position.
He also said to do the lying down skull crushers with your upper arm drifting past 90 degrees to have a better stretch. All it did for me was dislocate one of my shoulders. This was 2 years ago and I still feel the consequences of that injury...
@@mountaindog1 you know what i mean,so many people looking at coaches that only work with hyper responders and people who are on alot of gear,i'm not against AAS but you work with all kinds of people and producing results that's why i call your content most relevant.

@@1trillionviews516 100% I use the spongy grips paired up on one cable because John does them that way lol I just flip because personal preference. I use that set up for cable curls too.
@@PF_ROB - A couple other unique tips I got from John that have continued working for months now (no plateau yet using these): 1) Paused shrugs. I take 5 seconds to complete one shrug. Raise up slowly and hold for 4 seconds, then returning to start takes about 1 second. 2) Partial ROM side laterals. I use more weight than I can handle and just cut down on the range of motion. I do however decrease the weight after 2 sets so I can do 2 more sets with full ROM, but before this trick, I never managed to get my delts sore, regardless of sets completed. There's many more, but those two really stand out to me because I've never heard them anywhere else!
@@1trillionviews516 Right on, man. Those partial side raises are legit. I also love partials for leg extensions and seated calf raises. I'll do my working sets but on the last set or two I'll do partials til exhaustion. The stack might only move a few inches but it's pumping in even more blood and they burn like crazy. I finally lowered the weight big time on my curls too as John has mentioned at least a few times. 20-25 lbs with the hardest contraction and 2-3 second hold at the top. The weight is humbling and the pain is nuts but the pump is ungodly. I swear I can see a difference after only 3 sessions of this. I squeeze and contract as hard as I can for most everything else but I'm not sure why I wasn't doing it for my biceps. John's the truth, no doubt
I'm 65 and my first time watching your video, I felt you did a lot good ways how to get a GOOD BICEPS WORKOUT and avoid injuries thank you & hoping to watch more of your videos, I do 7 mile running daily and incorporate some weight but wasn't sure which biceps sets to do now I'll try yours.

Bench dips and overhead cable extensions are amazing, tri obliteration on my end lol. My rope extensions start holding handles apart, then once I can no longer do that, extended together, then separated at the end, then once i can't pull them apart, pulses with my hands together. Kickbacks are an amazing exercise, tricep cramp backs more often because of the amazing flex you can get if you don't go too heavy.
