Was that controller box case hard to get back? i mean the hole in the bottom is so small and lot of wires have to suit there. I want to open mine to spray some kontakt CRC there, but im afraid i can't get it back closed :D
Quick and easy to replace as long as you have a crank puller and take care fitting it into the controller box without trapping any wires, it’s a tight squeeze!
Update for anyone wondering, I did replace my sensor, but turns out it was in fact the brake lever not resetting therefore the brake sensor would not let the PAS kick in. :P
The original controller was labelled MX02 and had 9 connectors but I have since been sent an upgraded the MX01 contoller with 12 connectors for the brake cut-offs. This has 2 additional cut-off connectors and a spare one for an additional USB socket which the MX03 doesn't have on the frame. Apparently the MX01, MX02 and MX03 all have the same hub motors and controllers. Some of the earlier bikes didn't have brake cut-offs as there was a supply and component shortage during the pandemic lockdowns. Is your pedal sensor faulty?
Sorry hadn’t seen this so not sure if you got it sorted but in one of my later videos I had the same error on the MX03 which was dues to the battery connection starting to overheat and melt due to poor contact. Did you get it sorted?
You'll love it, I was blown away by it especially using it on the rough hilly off-road estate tracks where I live! No motor problems so far, why do you ask?

@@craiggti84 support is really good, just message them if you have a question or problem and they get back to you really quickly and will even do a video on how to sort out the problem! Interesting to see if you get any extra customs or VAT charges over what you paid, I didn't but often wonder if I was lucky!

I was sent a replacement direct from Shengmilo when it started playing up. Not sure why or if it is a common problem! The controller was OK despite a few river crossings and being caked in mud but I'd avoid directing a high pressure hose onto it. I sprayed WD40 onto the switch which may not have helped but not really sure why it failed though I noticed it was loose after trying to lift the bike over a wire fence but no actual damage so just pushed it back in. Shengmilo where great and I got the sensor in just over a week under support warranty.
Hey might be a bit late but I think this happens when one or more of the wires from the moter controler to the LCD screen have disconnected. Not 100% sure though.
@@thomasryan4124 .i have an older MX-02s ..ive found that most of the time bleeding is unnessesary unless you have a leak or change the brake line...there is a set screw located on the brake levers that tend to work there way out ...a simple adjustment there to reposition the lever works for me..As for bleeding kits there a several cheap kits that come with different size adapters for the bleeding bowl to fit any bike reservoir on aliexpress or amazon..

My pedal assist failed on my MX03 and the replacement turned up today, i hope that was the issue and a new one will fix it =S

Contact the shop you bought it from if it's under warranty! I got mine direct from the official Shengmilo factory as I bought the bike from them.

battery undervoltage 006. Mine reports the same thing and sometimes it feels like the assistance stops, and the battery current drops several bars.
