I had a 2010 XF sold it a few years back as at its last MOT I had with it the garage said they’d be sweeping it off the ramp next time as the rear end was quite corroded! Not what I was expecting with a Premium brand car! 😮

This Jag is almost identical to the Ford Focus Mk3. The focus has a common boot leak fault, often rectified by sealing the rear vents and seams with silicon!
I'm sure one of the jags is basically a mondeo, I dont think it's this one but shows the similarities, leaks in all the same places 🤔 😳 😅

Another fabulous video. The Way of Andy to cut that silicon tube was impressive and it seems such a simple fix. I agree there is no point spending too much on a £2000 car, and I'm surprised it's worth so little. Still nice looking though

The exact place my Focus leaked. It 3 and half years old with 20k on the clock. I fixed it the same way too. 4 years later still bone dry.
It's mad the way it was so new and still leaked, if we can sort them why can't the manufacturers 🤯

Excellent lads love the Scouse humour ,I've had 2 Focus and a Kuga all leak like a sieve ,air vents lights a roof bars are the main culprits one of the most common questions on the owners groups

Great easy job with a tube of silicone. All done properly. Those foam gaskets are garbage I don't know why they get used tbh. Some silicone rubber gaskets would last the life of the car. Already looking forward to the next one fellas
They are absolutely useless them foam seals, it's beyond me why they use them, nice one man 😊

Wow the rust on the rear crashbar is shocking! I use tech 7 for these types of jobs. That sealer you chose looks like it did a good job as well. Well done lads. What's next for you two, an audition for the chippendales?

Well done 👍nice cheap repair done there nothing wrong with that the silicone sealant will be far better than the foam that was on those vents don’t know why car manufacturers choose to use the foam instead of rubber or something but at least you know it will be leak free now and you didn’t get a shower Liam unlike Andy 😂 great video as usual keep up the laughs and videos 👍

That crash bar, and the overall quality of the Jags workmanship is shocking…. Baring in mind these would have been around £30k starting price… my MK1 Audi Q5 is the same age as this Jag, and it is still looks like new underneath and behind panels etc… shame really, because this era of Jags cars looked really smart.

@@TransformotionVR Great video, but it's not just JLR. My Lexus RX400h is well known for all the leaks, plus roof bars, sunroof drains, every bumper fixing and all the seam weld sealant cracks and leaks! I've totally stripped the back of my car to fix them all.
