I used to watch this concert and the 1979 one on my brothers bed in the late 80's and early 90's. I remember thinking, wouldn't it be great if it was 1981, so you could see him in the early days. I recall thinking, 8yrs ago, 9yrs ago, 10, such a long time ago. There is now a much bigger time gap between me watching this concert back then to now.
I do that too.. Think about two things that were years apart then realise that the time between the second thing and now is much greater than the time between the first thing and the second.
+mistman1977 Got a decade or so yet for a total wireless world... What gets me is that Down in Park is a kinda a negative reality inversion of the plot-lines of both A.I and Humans (UK Channel Four) well before both those came out...
Easily my favourite Numan track. Awesome live performance.
Brilliant . Found Gary 1978 , not looked back

Sharpley has such a great drum cadence within this track, so smooth and solid!
At the very start of the song all I can think of is the beginning of Astradyne by Ultravox.
That guitar at the end wow😮
Brilliant concert from 1981
Used to train to this track over 40 years ago and STILL am !!
Nice one Gaza

The late Robert Palmer did a cover version of this. (When he was still early obviously).
I LOVE RP version !!!!!!!
@@dianaberry Yes! I was unaware that Gary Numan did the keyboards for that cover... so basically he covered his own song. Hysterical.
Numan also plays on style kills by Robert palmer
@@dianaberry of course on "Clues" !
❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥
Love you tracy
Sorry but Robert Palmer 's cover is at least as good as this original . Perhaps a bit better. More than a bit
