Man I really wish Nintendo would invest in a new F-Zero game. Haven't seen a new one since F-Zero GX on the GameCube, which in my opinion was the best racing game of all time.
The problem is that Nintendo want to do something different to justify making any new game, but for F-Zero they perfected the game with GX, so they can't see any justification for making a new game.
I'm with you. Played it on SNES, bought and traded it about four times on N64 (still got it!), and only ever played a race or two on GC. A modern console or PC-compatible version would be epic!

The game that got me into metal, i was eight by the time i played it, and i still got the N64 cart of this game and to this day, twenty four years later i still use it. This game means a lot to my personality, the fucking game shaped me as a kid all the way to adulthood.

Before a few weeks I found my old N64. I dont know if it works all the years of abstinence, but I plugged my F-Zero game in and start the console... and it still works! Memories of my childhood comes back, every day I played this amazing racing game. ;)
the F-zero I had as a kid was the first game I tried on this n64 I put togheter with a console from a pawn shop and the expansion pack from my non-working n64, and it worked :) F-zero is amazing

everyone has to love Captain Falcon 'cause not only is he one of the best (in my opinion) pilots in the F Zero series, but also one of the most powerful characters in the Super Smash Bros series.
I can still remember as a kid how mindblowing it was when the track shifted to that cylinder halfway through the course. Stuff like that seemed inconceivable at the time, it was amazing
one of the best tracks of all time of video games. I remember driving with 1.000 km/h in my kidsroom with a flying vehicle and push the volume of my old TV to the limits. It was really amazing, thx Nintendo for this Joyrides, you killing it!!!
Nah, Nintendo gave up on F-Zero long ago after the Gamecube, a new game was either gonna be for the successful Wii or the failure that was the Wii U but instead we got an inspired F-Zero track for Mario Kart 8/Deluxe with 200CC which makes it feel more like F-Zero. Kind of a let down though that a good racing franchise would die out anyway.

Started collecting for N64 last year and I’m glad this is one of the first games I bought. I only have about ten or so right now but this is one of my favorites. Just the kickass music and the speed of it all. I couldn’t imagine being a kid in the 90s playing this for the first time and freaking out because “oh my god it’s that game from the Super Nintendo but actually 3D and way faster!”
Gx version is trash. The whole game is so inferior to x bc theres not much focus or attention paid on the music bc of the system being more powerful and game designers not having to work arround technical limitations by putting alot more work and attention to music in games... almost all of the best nintendo soundtracks are from the snes and n64 library. Take a big guess why.. Powerful consoles totally wrecked the ost scene and now theres only a few here and there that are good but most of them aren't worth talking about... Take fucking dkc as a whole. Music perfection. Bc leveldesign and graphics were limited composers opted for making the best sounding osts ever. I'm sad.

Like someone says before, imagine a new f-zero with 30 players. And a ranked mode where u only have 1 try and if u fall from the course or just exploted by low energy. U instantly lose. So you can see everyone disapear from the list because they die. Ending on matches with only 2 players left, the real F-zero experience.
