GX is amazing!! story mode, the graphics, the vehicle editing, the gameplay, the physics... the only complaint I will always have with that game is the twist fro the Metal, raw appeal of X to a weaker electro-ish, over-futuristic atmosphere, and most of the music is completely dissapointing comparing it with X... those are fails indeed (I blame Sega), but the game is still great, in its own way.

I don't remember seeing any clowns, but I find that I enjoy GX more than X. From the way you describe GX, it tells me that you haven't given it much of a chance. The eye candy isn't so bothersome once you get used to it, and since it's also a stable 60FPS, the game is extremely playable. The music is great in GX (maybe it's just not your style?). Overall, they're both great games, and saying that either sucks is closed-minded, and bordering on fanboyish.
Might also be the g-forces! Looks like a reference to a sci fi short film compilation called neo-tokyo, had a short about futuristic antigrav blood sport racing
Playing this while battling 98 other people in F-Zero 99 is a lot more fun than people give it credit for. Hopefully something bigger for F-Zero is coming in the future. The multiplayer in this game is insane. Something I've wanted since Nintendo WiFi became a thing
FZeroX with 99 players online would be the peak racing videogames. Imagine the tracks with 99 cars, Red Canyon 2 "Slim Line" or Fire Field "Zig-Zag Jump" would be insane. I would pay full price for that game.

Late 90s japanese video game composers had a strong taste for Deep Purplesque tones and blessed us with some remarkable soundtracks ! This one's up there with The Black Mages.
Holy crap, I love these custom intros, fills, and solos! It just adds so much more to the already phenomenal soundtrack! A shame there are no covers of the X-pansion Kit here but other than that this is great! F-Zero X has one of the best metal soundtracks in video game history alongside Doom, Twisted Metal, Descent, etc.

Well, i wouldn't get my hopes up on nintendo doing anything with f-zero, but Aero GPX looks sick as fuck at least, def a worthy spiritual successor so far.
Some of my fondest memories involved renting F-Zero X, and eventually GX, from Blockbuster on a Friday evening and just playing the hell out of 'em all weekend. The music really stuck with me throughout the years, and I wish Nintendo would let Captain Falcon back into the Blue Falcon's cockpit for another race. If they really need a gimmick to work from, they could just add in an upgrade/customization system into the game so that you can really customize your ride and make it better as you progress through the story/win enough races, etc. Unlockable cosmetics would also be cool, just so long as you can get them within the game and not be forced to pay for them lol.
Now someone needs to make a hack for F-Zero X that replaces the music in-game with this; I hope people find out what weird compressed format that music is in, as...this needs to be in the game!

This OST is absolutely genius, it's an injection of stamina. It fits, definitely into my top10, along with: Castelvania SOTN (Naoto Shibata project), Diablo2, The sims, Zelda Ocarina of time, Super Mario Bros... and other games I can't remember right now.

Am I wrong for thinking this makes the Original Soundtrack obsolete? It's just so much better imo.
There’s some major changes in structure compared to the source material, so I can easily see a good few reasons to prefer the original

Most of the original pieces in FZeroX didnt intrigue me much, but hearing them like this has completely changed my mind.

Some of my fondest memories involved renting F-Zero X, and eventually GX, from Blockbuster on a Friday evening and just playing the hell out of 'em all weekend. The music really stuck with me throughout the years, and I wish Nintendo would let Captain Falcon back into the Blue Falcon's cockpit for another race. If they really need a gimmick to work from, they could just add in an upgrade/customization system into the game so that you can really customize your ride and make it better as you progress through the story/win enough races, etc. Unlockable cosmetics would also be cool, just so long as you can get them within the game and not be forced to pay for them lol.

This soundtrack is amazing I listen to it while I get my work done and it keeps me hyped at 100% the whole time.
Now someone needs to make a hack for F-Zero X that replaces the music in-game with this; I hope people find out what weird compressed format that music is in, as...this needs to be in the game!

Absolutely amazing soundtrack, and some gigachad track names to boot. What kind of arrange album starts with "The Long Distance of Murder"? F-Zero really has some of the absolute best music of any series.

F-Zero needs more representatives as fighters. Samurai Goroh should at least be promoted to a playable character.
This OST is absolutely genius, it's an injection of stamina. It fits, definitely into my top10, along with: Castelvania SOTN (Naoto Shibata project), Diablo2, The sims, Zelda Ocarina of time, Super Mario Bros... and other games I can't remember right now.

F-Zero X besides OoT and Pokemon Red/Blue are my favourite soundtracks of all time.
