This is such a great video for all the mums out there who have to lift their baby while also dealing with a prolapse! Question, do you use same technique when placing something heavy down? As in “marble in” and also breathing out at the same time as you bend down to place baby on the floor? Thank you for this clear and simple explanation - people like you are a treasure for all women!

I have prolapse cystocele for almost a year now, it’s been a roller coaster, I’m so insecure about it. I recently started going back to the gym and I’m really scared on what to do. I had therapy and it was great. But I’m so scared lift heavy. When I breath out and tighten up my core and it feels like something is working. But I feel like I can’t get pass 10lbs

Michelle Kenway Pelvic floor exercises after hysterectomy. A lot of videos. Gurls, do not push your luck. You cannot do many exercises that you did before. Only with modifications. Do your research.

And gravity still rule this world. No heavy lifting, no jumping, no running. No lifting 2 legs simultaneously when you work your press. Do not count on gym trainer. They like many other sports bloggers clueless. Stick with real professionals who work with post op patients and know reality in the face.

I just turned 45 in April & I've had lupus since I was 14 (w permanent heart, lung & kidney damage). I Never thought I would see my 30' much less my mid 40's (as my doctor's said ppl like me had about 10 year survival rate). Recently my periods have changed (I was semi regular) dramatically. My last period lasted like 1 1/2 months. I was going through a super tampon in 10 min. So I decided to try menstrual cups and discs. I removed one while in the shower & I would have sworn my kidney fell out. I had never had chunks before and this one was so big I didn't know rather to be scared or proud (so I took a pic of it). Once my period ends I usually don't have another for 3-4 months. Around 4ish months ago I noticed a Small protrusion I believe is my urethra. It looked swollen And almost had a darkish color at its opening (not sure if it was a shadow from how I had to position myself to look or possibly blood from my period. I've also been bloated really bad during all of this. So much so that most days I can barely get into my pants & when I do I am miserable. I have had issues most of my life that could lead to prolaps, such as constipation (since I was a baby as my mother would laugh & call them lil rabbit turds lol). Then in my 20s I began having problems completely emptying my bladder. Some days so badly that I'd have to grab my knees & pull to force it to come out. I went to a urologist who tried medication which worked for a couple to days then stopped, then he did a dilation which worked for a few days then stopped. They offered no more solutions. I don't have to push so hard anymore to empty but I always have to make it come out. I can't just sit & relax & it flow out (I've had dreams where I had to pee & when I do pee in my dreams I feel the relief like I had, then wake up & think OMG I bet I just pissed the bed but I never do) but I've got where if I cough hard I do dribble some if I'm not prepared & clenching. Now I live on a farm & my spouse has become a lazy ass leaving me to take care of everything from lifting heavy big bags of dog food to relocating bricks so I do a lot of lifting. All this does take a told on my body. My fingers swell & hurt every day & I've got bad hips from years of Prednisone & avascular necrosis in my rt hip which I've had to have a decompression done on it, so bending at my hips is almost always a No No. If I need to see something low on a shelf I usually bend my knees but after a 10 sec it hurts so bad I have to just drop my knees on the floor then while on all 4's slowly get up using the stores shelving to help me get up. When I do get up I tend to hold my breath as the pressure seams to help give me a lil more umph/strength. I've been meaning to go to my GP but my vehicle has been in the shop for over 3 months as the extended warranty ppl keep saying they can get the parts that are needed cheaper then the mechanic can but are unable to deliver them. I'm disabled (never able to work where I got sick at 14) & have a very limited income, & not able to pay for the repair without the warranty. I live in a small poor state, with limited resources. My county doesn't even have public transportation but I live too far out if they did as even pizza places don't deliver out as far as I am. I did some research and found that ppl with are like 20% more likely to have bladder prolapse.

Thank you so much for this video! There’s such an important information here! I wish I knew it a long time ago. I am 6 weeks after hysterectomy and bladder prolapse repair. I am a nurse working with kids with special needs. I need to change diapers during my shifts. What kind of lift restrictions should I keep in mind to prevent recurrence?
    Thank you.

I had to quit my job. I worked with adults. Every time I transferred a patient, I would feel the bottom of my belly (pelvic floor) would start hurting really badly. Use your common sense. Good luck.

Thank you for creating this content. I have a question- should the “pulling up a marble” exercise feel like a kegel as we exhale to pick something up? I fear I may have uterine prolapse. I take care of my husband’s foster aunt who’s a quadriplegic. She weighs 85-90 lbs. I’ve been lifting her without much thought to it (other than keeping my back straight) for 6 years now. I just turned 32. This is a shocking discovery, so your videos are very helpful.

So yes, we are doing a kegel when lifting…I just learned to breathe out but didn’t know to also do a kegel when lifting. Same when using the restroom? When rising from toilet breathe out and kegel at same time? Appreciate all this free info! I just learned I have minimal prolapse of bladder and rectal 2 weeks ago and I’m DEVASTED😢
