Push button start is standard on the 2025.
    Smart entry is optional.
Push button start and smart entry are not the same thing.
So, if it it’s not equipped with the option package that includes smart entry, you have to unlock the door by pressing the unlock button on the key fob, but you still use push button start after you are inside with the key fob.

Why is Toyota not making push button standard on the Camry at this point? For $30k and it’s still an “option” that’s crazy. Nissan has been making the Altima with standard push button start since 2007.

    • @BradleyEdwardAnderso
      @BradleyEdwardAnderso Месяц назад +2

I was just thinking about this the other day. It seems like push-button start being standard-period, is dragging out longer than most options. For instance the CD Player was standard 10-12 years after luxury cars had it. I know the Gen 2 (2004) Prius had push-button start. Even Bluetooth is now standard, and Toyota really delayed on that. Is it because there aren't any NEW options coming along to help differentiate pricing??

    2. Approximately how many shop hours to replace new lithium ion battery in 2025 Carmy under the seat? I’m hoping the new design requires less time to be removed to get the battery out.
    3. Does the 2025 Carmy have an electronically controlled variable oil pump?
    4. Does the ECVT transmission in the 2025 Camry have a slush lubrication system or does it have a dry sump system like the 2024 Prius Prime?
    5. Is the transmission in the 2025 Camry the PB12 transmission like in the 2024 Prius Prime which is lager than what is in the standard Prius?
    6. Does the 2025 Carmy have lug nuts with bolts or did you switch to bolts like on the 2024 Prius?

We just got the new 2025 Camry I don't remember which one it is though if it was the se or le not sure which is it but its the hybrid one. We turned in our 2015 toyota corrola for 5k and now have to make payments for the camry. Its a grey underground or whatever they called it color. Its a push button to. Its a really nice car. It drives smooth and very relaxing to. I love the car so far. But we have only had it for almost a day. It looks really sporty to my eye's but it just might only be me.

With my current lease coming to an end within the next six months, I have already met owned several cameras in the past… Had to get the RAV4 as it was during Covid and nothing else was available… Personally, I love the XSE It has all of the tech that I want… Sticker at my dealership was $42,487 and upstate New York. my salesman told me the SE would be a better choice for me to be at the payment or I want to be
Waiting for them to come in so I can test drive one to see how I like it… Or I might just stay with another RAV4 XSE or XSE Prime
Although some people do not like that, Toyota went hybrid on the Camry… I was a little surprised at first don’t know if it will hurt sales definitely do not have a problem with them all hybrid and I love the fact that all-wheel-drive is available across-the-board…
Lastly, I am not usually a bass model buyer… However, the LE I think offers a bang for the buck when all of the boxes are checked

As an 8th Gen Camry owner, I was looking forward to the addition of memory seats. However, you can only get the memory seats on the XLE. Boo!! Also, the panoramic moonroof on the 8th gen are notorious for failing and they cost $7-$11k to replace! So, make sure you buy an extended warranty and make sure the extended warranty covers the moonroof. A lot of people complain about the JBL stereo and the "subwoofer" rattling so it's not that great that you have to take the panoramic roof and the JBL stereo if you. want memory seats. The 19' and 18" Toyota wheels are known for getting bent by potholes, sure they look nice but they aren't durable. Glad they finally got wireless apple carplay. I do not like that you have to subscribe to Toyota Connected Services if you want to use the remote start (currently $8 a month). I think the body colored grill on the XSE looks terrible and agree with you that the black grill on the SE is much better looking.

Is black the other interior option? I really wish there was something other than red and black for that trim, like a light gray or white. I live in AZ and black interiors just aren’t the move out here with the heat, gets way too hot

I think I would find it stressful to live with a red interior...especially one that bright, lol. It's just too much visual energy and the opposite of calming. The XSE of both this and the last gen always seemed a little over the top for a Camry, especially with the red interior and two-tone paint. My favorite is the blue XLE on gray/beige interior color combo they are showing. That blue is gorgeous. Honestly, every trim other than the LE look pretty "sporty" to my eyes.
