How to lasso so the image in the back can be cut around front image for printing different textures such as one image in hvt and back image in puff. Thanks in advance.
Canva allows for a transparency gradient percentage between 2 layers, as an example so that text can be positioned onto a jewellery gift card, without the jewellery covering the wording when the jewellery gift is mounted on the gift card in the jewellery gift box can this be done in Kittl ?
@@ricbetancurdiy4291Hey there, we don't have a lasso or cut tool at the moment. But we are looking at adding some more advanced features over the coming months.
Hey there! There is no way to duplicate a background layer. Of course, you could add a basic block and make it the size of the background if you would like to. If you are talking about making multiple artboards in one project, this feature will come in the future.
@@Kittldesign They mean that only 3 are viewable at a time beacuse the box is so small. They have to scroll to see the rest. I have the same issue. The layers box is way too small. I want to expand it. Being able to rearrange the workspace would be helpful.
Hey there! Please make sure that the element is inside of the artbaord, sometimes they are outside of the artboard based on proximity, and if so, it will not adhere to the layer order.
Hey there, we haven't encountered this issue, but make sure the element is selected when right clicking to view the menu. Are you using a specific browser?
@@Kittldesign I am using google chrome on my mac. I've tried having it in a group, not having it in a group. selecting then right clicking, having only one element on the entire artboard. Nothing. I don't get the right click options no matter what I do
Hello, I like your videos but many times you're going too fast. I've watched the grouping and ungrouping of layers more than once but still, I have yet to completely understand. Right now I'm trying to ungroup layers but nothing I try seems to work. Is this because the grouped layers were part of a group of headline text that I added to the design? I wanted to use some of the text but not all and, most likely move the text around in the design, independent of the other text that is grouped together. How would I do that? Perhaps they won't ungroup because they were all one when I added it to the design.
Hey there! Thank you for the feedback here. To group and ungroup layers, you can use CMD (or CTRL) + G. CMD G works for grouping and ungrouping. Alternatively, you can select which objects you want to group, and right click and select Group to have them become a group.
A layer is added everytime you add a new elements to the board. So every piece on your artboard is a layer. We will have the ability to add multiple artboards soon, if that's what you mean.
What do you want to learn in Kittl next? 🧐 Let me know!
How to create layers in the first place!

Thank you for the great reminder and information for using the layers panel.
You are most welcome!!
Great video! I learned several things I hadn't figured out yet. Now, I would like the ability to duplicate the background layer.

Hello
Can you add a friendly user experience for touch screens
Like two fingers undo 3 redo ...
Hey there, Abeel. We are currently working on mobile support right now! Definitely stay tuned for iPad/tablet and mobile capability.
How do you expand the layers box? That small box in the corner doesnt cut it for me. I cant work under those conditions with the scrolling!
Hey there! Please add this suggestion here and we will take a look! feedback.kittl.com/feature-requests
thank you, I see the front how I can do to have the back?
Hey there. We're not exactly sure what you mean.
Kittl beats canva any day 👍
Cheers! 🙏
Is there a way to export the layers? Our printer likes to receive the layered files when we get items screen printed.
We are looking into this option, but currently you receive a flattened export file from Kittl. Thank you for the insight and the feedback.
can you expand the layers menu, My board only show me like 3 layers so its really difficult to work with being so small
Not entirely sure why only 3 layers would be showing unless you only have 3 items, but we can dive into it deeper in another video.

My layers is glitching and not taking order into account, how do I fix this? i.e. layers on the bottom are not actually going behind other elements

How do you create a new layer
Hey Big Ray, in Kittl, every individual asset/text/shape/illustration is its own layer. 😉
Is there some kinda of update I'm not seeing? I can't right click on any of the elements on Kittl. I just get my standard mac right click options.

Hey there, at the moment, clipping masks for text are not available, but we are working on it!
I need help with how to duplicate a layer.
Hey there, you can select the layers panel, and hit CMD C and V or CTRL C and V to copy and paste the layer.
HOW CAN YOU ADD A NEW LAYER??
Everything you add to the artboard becomes a new layer. :)
