Your video touched my heart deeply. As a struggling single mom, your design and ecommerce tutorial inspired me. Currently facing financial challenges, I'm determined to find a way to start small and dream big. Thank you for being my source of inspiration in pursuing financial independence.
...my small, exact sentiment... big dreams and so many creative ideas to serve different needs -- but finances to startup are scarce, definitely none available to risk to waste.
I'm a disabled vet and can't work outside my house. I work in the music industy primarily doing music critiques and creating guidebooks for musicians. But, I'm not even covering the cost of living. I'm so desperately excited to try this. I feel like crying.
Im a total novice. Stay at home mom, looking for a creative side hustle. I just started designing with printify yesterday and got an ad for kittl, didn’t know what it was, but looked interesting. This video was super helpful to understand what I can do with Kittl and how to make it work with the printify and Etsy services I’m already using. Thanks!
I started my Etsy store in 2016 and I dabbled in making my own shirts with heat transfer and vinyl. I even ended up doing promotional hats, sweaters, and shirts for my friend's landscape company. I had registered as a sole-proprietorship so I got reseller status from Alphabroder. I've made sales on my Etsy but it was only 2 or 3 designs that were inspired by a comic hero, and I want to move to genuinely custom designs. My original target market was artists but I didn't know what they like!
Recently heard your interview on the PODcast and got very intrigued with Kittl. I've signed up and now am watching your videos to learn all about Kittl, eRank and other tips for POD/Etsy success!
Hey mate, enjoying this video. I am really new and trying to "get" the complete process from design to my Etsy shop. I will keep looking at all relevant videos that help me with this process. Cheers!!
This is a great video…! Thank You, this is a massive help for Me as I’m just starting out on My POD journey. I’ve attempted POD before but always hit a wall and can never figure out what I’m doing. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated ✌🏻💯
@@Kittldesign it would be great if kittl could introduce the erase tool and a feature that allows to search for "similar elements in this style" just like Canva.

I have just discovered your channel, I have learned lot from you, thanks for your helpful and informative video, I follow you now thanks again from 🇲🇦👍
We know a lot of Etsy sellers who do. This will depend on budget, and what you are able to afford. But it is always best to see the actual physical product to get the best representation to show your customers.
I just subscribed with erank, did a little research, and was surprised to see many completely different keyword searches have exactly 4400 Google searches around the same point that you have highlighted! Doesnt inspire confidence!
Hey there, this video is purely a demonstration. We also did not use the paid platform of Erank, which has recently been updated with a paywall over the last several months and doesn't show the same categories now as it did at the time of creating this video, which can certainly be frustrating. We also suggest validating the style, niche, trend, or otherwise by actually researching on Etsy itself, finding shops and listings with performing products. The research component is key, and we only briefly covered it here. Cheers.
I loved your tutorial, I took notes and was all ready to start researching, but eRank doesn’t appear to be free and seems to need a subscription now. Maybe different from when you made the video? Is there another program that would allow beginners to start product analysis no cost?
We also just recently noticed that eRank just put a gate on the features that are free vs. what is paid for, so yes, at the time of this video, the features you see in the video were free. There is also a tool called Everbee which has a free tier that can help you with ranking on Etsy as well.
Great comment but the background music is mind numbing. Not nitpicking because I’m a subscriber. The loop is so distracting. I’ve noticed that you’re lowering the volume in the newer vids. Not doing well in POD but my brick and mortar store in San Francisco is doing AMAZINGLY WELL in a large part because of Kittl. I love designing but I’m soooo slow. I still use my original cartooning skills for about 50% of my stuff but Kittl has allowed me to add new inventory and specifically seasonal stuff at a greatly accelerated rate while utilizing my original art at the core. I’m making record sales( for my store anyway)in a very competitive market. And i love seeing the delighted look on shoppers faces. As an artist its very gratifying. Maybe i’ll get the hang of POD but in the meantime I’m doing great. Thanks for all you do…

Loving Kittl so far! And these tutorials are super helpful. Starting designs for Etsy. *Question*: is there a way to make designs for shirts CMYK instead of RGB for printing colors closest to what is seen on screen? TIA!
Hey there! Great question, as we are working on this color functionality. But as of now, we haven't seen much issue or variability with color on the physical product, as DTG is quite close to the exported graphic! Of course, color is always important to keep in mind, so we suggest ordering a proof of your shirt whenever possible so you get a real representation of what it's like.
Good tutorial but I used up all my searches trying to follow his search? I was only allowed 5 searches not 50, what happened there? That was useless as far as getting a handle on how to use this tool. But the guy was good, will follow to use Kittl but not so much eRank at this time.
Thanks for the feedback! There are a few specific places you have "quotas" or "searches" for in E-rank. What I used in the video was the Keyword Tool that's down below the main search bar up top. It's a little confusing, because they do different things. We'll be doing some videos in the future using some other Etsy ranking tools that may be easier to get the hand of.
Thanks Drew. this is very informative and step by step understandable. I am a beginner. I am exactly following your steps and using Printify. In Printify under "My Products" there is an option "Allow automated order routing". "Enable Automated Routing" In case your print provider is temporarily unavailable due to stock issues or your selected print provider is experiencing significant delays, we can automatically route the affected items to a different print provider, so your orders can arrive on time. I this they have mentioned there is an extra cost of $2. Do you have any detail video on Printify or can you make it? What if we select "Enable Automated Routing", the Retail Price of a product is $16 and Profit is $2.41. After this there is an additional $2 due to "Automated Routing print provider". So what would be the Profit. I might not be right but it would be great if you answer the right price calculation.
Hey there! We haven't looked into this specific issue/feature, but we would suggest checking out Printify's channel to see if they have some content for this (or joining one of their weekly lives to ask this question to Martin)!
I'm in the early stage of my Etsy store. I have been using Kittl templates. Unfortunately, I see many other sellers are doing the same, or almost identical designs. Designing originals takes time, so it's slow going for me. At least someone wearing my shirts won't be passing the same designs coming and going. Jeez, that Frankenstein face is everywhere!

Hi, I noticed that Canva doesnt have an option for DPI and Kittl particularly doesn't have a DPI up to 300 but that's what Printify requires for the print-design on my shirt. Now I'm worried, may i ask how did you manage with that?
That will also work! You can integrate your Print On Demand supplier with Shopify so that when someone orders from your site, it goes right to them. And you can use a similar research strategy to find profitable niches.
Great video!! When choosing a niche does that mean your whole store would be psychedelic? Im confused about if you choose a specific style if you need to stick to that...for example let's say you then wanted to do a fathers day shirt or a Bachelorette shirt, would it be best to keep those as psychedelic designs too?
There are certainly different ways to go about this, where you can either have a general store with a variety of niches, or individual stores for each niche. If you are just starting out, we think it's okay to have a variety of niches represented on your store to see what is working best, and if sales start to pick up on one specific item, then you may decide to open a shop specific to that niche!
Yes! We have a full masterclass tutorial for Kittl on our RUclips Channel, and we are actually filming a new one in the coming weeks with brand new features. So stay tuned!
