This Sony Lcd monitor also uses solar panel that is included with the unit, it turns the unit to run on solar that is a beautiful unit that I used during late 80’s along with my video8! Great product but the age has caught up to her!
Looks exactly the same as some other brand LCD tv's of the same era like Casio and Epson. I have some that work great but they are prone to LCD degrading and back light failure.

instead of using a jack , why dont connect ur video signal (common ground) and a probe and poke each solder joint of the jack connector... you shouldnt write off a collectors item ..
Not authorized to spend money. As it is I spent time on this no compensation. Did it just for RUclips revenue but that won't make much. Perhaps a couple bucks a month for a few months then very little. Videos on video equipment makes very little. Audio gear does much better.
It's actually the LCD driver board that is fubar. Color codes on cables are only valid with the correct cable as these cables are all wired differently. I have done videos showing the difference between them

Is amazon going to give me those parts for free? I think not. I just said I made 50 bucks to fix this tv. There is zero dollars for any parts. When it was brought to me the limit was 50 bucks. If you can get it going for 50 do it otherwise recycle it.
@@rogertyler3237 ya, I could but when i am making 50 bucks why would i go to the trouble of finding another tv to rob them out of. It's not like they are going to pay me more. I had a 50.00 limit and that is what I got for it. It was either that or take it to recycling. So no, i wasn't going to spend a penny on parts or spend an extra 5 minutes more than I had to. This was more of a let's see why this tv isn't working and yes you can jumper out the blown led and it will work for a long time. Too bad the guy didn't include the adapter cable for you to be able to test it. You'd think he would have it if he planned on using this monitor.
the cable was not a standard cable, the owner did not know about.

Sony want you to use their adapter. They weren't the only company to do this. Many Japanese devices used tip negative.
