That Android tablet standing up can do wireless charging, so if you pop it into any Qi charger, it will charge while in use. Thank you for this in depth review.

Excellent review. For those who want to know, and wondering, it's 100% Mac-compatible. So you don't have to use it in Windows only if you don't have to. I bought it for my iMac and don't regret it.
Seems like an upgrade and lovechild of Huion H610PRO v2 and H1060P, but with a slimmer build + touch ring, and it's cheaper than H1060P. Disappointed that they didn't seem to improve the softkeys though, it's hard to navigate through 16 buttons and I would've prefer if its build slightly embossed but it doesn't seem like it changed much from its predecessors. The fact that its compatible with Android devices to draw may seem a bit gimmicky, but I guess it works if you rarely have access to any PC/laptop and can't afford those fancy Wacom Mobile Studio or iPad. Thanks for being one of the first review for this tablet though! This seems like a great 10x6'' inch option to those who can't get H1060P's 100$, but also don't really like the cheaper build of H610PRO. Plus it's portable-friendly and have a touch ring too. Hopefully they'll improve the wobbles on future drivers.
Hey, I'm choosing from Huion tablets right now and I wonder - how is, for example, H1060P better than this tablet? From specifications it seems this one might be even better thanks to the ring, android compatibility (although I wouldn't use that probably) and higher report rate. Am I missing something?

Hey I got a question about the H1161 since you're using one. Is the touch strip on that model customizable? And can you toggle several different functions on the touch strip like the ring in HS610, or is it just limited to one function? Thanks in advance!
@@cheariffin7009 I don't believe so but not 100% positive. By default, the touch strip zooms in & out which is how I left it. Pretty sure only the soft keys, & regular buttons are customizable. Hope this answers your question!

Why using Camtasia when you can use OBS? As for tablet - is that Kamvas on your desk (can't see on small screen of my phone)? I want to get HS610 and use it in tandem with my Kamvas but I'm worried if they will work together without any problems (Huion drivers in the past were bugging out with more than 1 pen device connected at the same time)
On Camtasia, its just easier to screen cap and edit. I use so many camera's and Mics. OBS would be good if I was just screen capping but the rest is a hassle. I'd have to bring it all into an editor anyway.

I'm using at work both Cintiq and Intuos depending on what I'm doing (and how I feel) - I do fine detail on large screen and large lines/draft on smaller A5 pen tablet so I can maintain large preview (by not zooming out) and still operate only with my wrist. When I asked Huion about it couple of years ago they've said only one device works at a time, hence my question as you are in possession of both devices. As for OBS - what do you mean, there's literally nothing better for multi camera, multi scene, overlay shenanigans. Setup your scenes, attach hotkeys and off you go. I can get the point of having editor integrated into your recording software but quite honestly Camtasia's editor is hot garbage even comparing to something as bad as Vegas. Give it a shot some time, might be worth it - it needs setting up but once done it's fire and forget ;)
If you connect it to a tablet instead of a phone, does the active screen size on the drawing tablet still become smaller? Also, if you use the samsung tablet in DEX mode, do the Express keys work?

@@CreateNowSleepLater I contacted them and they told me they have released a FW update. But they are asking to buy an otg to get the download link. They said download link is in the otg package. This is actually absurd like I bought their tablet and now they want me to buy an accessory to get update :/ It's small price but the problem is it takes more than a month to ship at my place. Do you have the download link for it ?
Android or Windows? @5:38 you can rotate the tablet in the driver. If I had to guess, you just flip the android device upside down. I would think that would work.
Its a good question, in theory the dock should pass the data signal on but Huion doesn't mention supporting docks. You might just have to try it or ping them on Skype.

Your device might work, it needs to support USB OTG (sometimes only called OTG). You may not need this information 7 months later, bit if someone else reads this comment it may be able to help him.

@Daniel I believe in the "preferences" you can set your crosshair to always display instead of "automatic" or something like that... I don't know what the settings are exactly as I'm not currently in front of my pc but I'm 100% sure they're there and they're pretty straight forward. Look into it :)
Um wow, this tablet is much bigger than I thought, not very portable if you want to use this as a Galaxy Tab s or Ipad replacement. Got to say, Huion is innovating, don't think Wacom is gonne poke Android like that.
@@CreateNowSleepLater You can configure the ring to any function you want. Not sure why you didn't see that when you were assigning other buttons. I have mine, on all 3 options to zoom in (mouse wheel forward) and zoom out (mouse wheel backwards). If you select a program like Affinity Photo, it will have different pre set buttons assigned. I love mine. You did a good job overall reviewing it other than diving into the actual setup, which answers a few of the questions I see in the comments.
Thanks for tests, I got one too, and faced a stretched work area on android phone. It is definitely not made for 1080x2246 resolution, you can get used to it but it feels kinda wrong. I placed a cylinder on a tablet and circled it with stylus, and on the phone i got an ellipse. Also, can you test tilt? With PS 3D brushes, it works terrible, but somewhat decent if draw fast. @@CreateNowSleepLater It's Legacy brush which can be added by right clicking on canvas, opening brushes, clicking on gear icon and choosing "Legacy Brushes", it's called "Pencil" and has pencil icon next to it. I reported to support, they sad that this is "normal".

Confirmed, does not work. It keeps the pen direction no matter which way you have the tablet.

Yeah, it's the Nexus. i guess I was trying to say if yours doesn't do wireless charging which is rare but this supports android 6.0 and up.

You mean the actual desk itself? I built it, the whit part is actually a pull up traditional art table.

I think they are the same driver. I had the 22" Kamvas installed, same driver. That is what you saw behind it.

Express keys don’t not work when connected to a phone or tablet. The screen does not reduce when connected to windows.

I would ask, does the tablet actually have a screen? Or does it just find where the pen is, and put that on your pc screen/android
No screen. You lay the pen tip down and in Windows at least, you will see the cursor under the tip.

What kind of shortcut are you setting up? Usually, you just hit the key B for brush for example, and hit save.

It should, it’s basically just an input device. I did not know if those applications are pressure sensitive or not. I’d check that.

No drivers are needed for Android. You do not have to be online.

If it's the android piece you are looking for, it's only the HS610. I know they are thinking about adding it to more tablets via FW.

You mean lag? Typical lag for any EMR device, nothing crazy.

Yep, you click the button int the middle to cycle options (Zoom, brush size, etc)

What kind of brush is that? I dont think I experienced that. I find Wacom tilt to work fine but I don't think Hulon is bad either.
