Junk Silver Purchase - Silver Quarters for My Hunt and Fill Album

- I went to my silver dealer and purchased all of his available Junk Silver Quarters to see if I can get some additions to my Hunt and Fill Album.
Knowing that he rarely picks through them, I decided to buy them all in hopes of maybe adding a few upgrades to my album, or possibly scoring a better date or two. I did not expect to find so many that I could add to my coin albums with this purchase...
In this video, I will search through all the silver quarters from the bag. I will be looking for key dates, semi key dates, upgrades, and of course and varieties within the years I hunt.

Great idea! In my 5 years of hunting quarters, I have found 2 really good silver eagle backs. I see no other way to fill that book.
i inherited a ton of old silver coins from my uncle, with tons of morgans, first year toned Silver Eagles, Walkers, Barbers, Mercury Dimes, Ben Franklins, etc. I'm gonna be able to go thru it in the next few weeks, and i am *BEYOND* excited to see what's in there.!!!!!
No gold? My family inherited a gold collection we could not sell it because the tax would have been enormous. So it's in a safety deposit box in a bank. The family uses it for escrow now.
@@williamfindspeople4341that's terrifying it's in a bank. My God if you wake up and that bank has failed. Your gold Is gone!!! No ifs ands or butter about it. It's gone. Look at the law. They can bail in whatever was in safe deposit boxes and the access as well.
ahh okay, i actually am not sure if he does since i only had time to go thru part of the collection. he just recently passed away, and i found it while looking at some of his wheaties and whatnot. from what I've heard, although i need to verify it, he also has some coins from Roman times
Wow My Grandpa did too and had rolls of walking liberties, Ben Franklin, a couple silver washingtons and a Barber! Crazy how well people like him preserve them

As a compromise to not getting them coin roll hunting, could you keep track of the coin roll hunting ones and prioritize them? Like if you a get 63P in a roll it goes into the book instead?

Copper pennies to the moon!
All 1958-1960 Philly mints for pennies, nickels and quarters are tough to come by making them better dates...the 1960 small date Philly penny is actually a key date!

I know it’s your channel to do as you please, but I wish you had just stuck with coin roll hunting finds for these books. Even if there was no expectation of filling the books, it would have been fun to see how far you could have gone with them. Now we’ll never know At a minimum, it would have been nice to fill the second book with a found 1963-P. It would have seemed like more of an achievement.
I like it! You could do the same with wheat cents for the penny albums. That’s how I filled a lot of tough spots. Bulk wheat cents

I had a bag of old coins with silver and a couple of PCGS slabbed coins, and now it's gone. and since my brother has been known to be stealing recently, it probably was him he keeps asking me recently, saying he knows a guy that will buy them, but I kept saying no.
I sympathize.Know what's worse?I have to pay rent to a coin thief,three separate times in four years.And I have to bottle up hidden hatred for it.Its hard to forgive someone for stealing my select valuables.Your dealing with your brother.GLWTS

I honestly think this is actually better than trying to find those coins from coin roll hunting. Finding them this way seems to give you a much better chance at finding the coins your looking for to slot in those albums. Speaking of which, good job Rob for completing that 2nd album you have. I'm sure it feels like a milestone for you..
I wish I had enough money to buy junk silver, all I can get are a couple quarters though I really want to get junk silver

I like your approach here, Rob (even before I saw this video in it's entirety). I was fortunate enough to hook up with a very nice 1932D quarter when I went through the junk silver bags I bought over the last six years. You of all people know that this stuff happens!
