The debrief that the HEMS physician did after the death was called was amazing. I was once a bystander in the aftermath of a stabbing, and I provided CPR while on speakerphone with 9-1-1 because noone else would stop and help. The man's injuries were horrific. I can still see him stumbling down the sidewalk, blood gushing, and then dropping like a stone as if it just happened moments ago. EMS did CPR for six minutes, but by that point the man had lost too much blood and time of death was called. I was thanked by EMS for my help and then they left. There was no debrief, no resources offered, my contact info was taken by the police only as a witness (although i didn't witness the stabbing itself). Getting a debrief like in this video would have helped me process things way better. Stuff like that needs to be standard practice over in the States and Canada.
i cpr on a guy who had collapsed at a petrol station (later found he had had a major bleed in the brain) - i must done cpr for 20 mins before helicopter arrived - he died unfortunetly, no one spoke to me after - i would have liked that as it really shook me up - i did get a thanks for trying letter from his wife, they seem to forget the other people involved
Shay was just adorable, I pray he has a long happy life! Bless emergency operators and paramedics, the situations they have to deal with must be pretty heavy at times, don’t take them for granted or swear at them, they are angels lifeline and always do their best!
I really felt for the elderly couples. At those ages anything could happen and if you don’t pass away both at the same time one is left behind. When Sydney passed away and then four months later, his wife passed away. I could only be grateful that she did so she wasn’t alone for too long, but it probably felt like a lifetime for her.😔 That little guy that had to seizure, broke my heart. I know how he felt at that age having a medical problem and being different than everybody else. And children are afraid of what they’re going through adults can understand it kids can’t. Even if it’s explained to them, they don’t understand it. I’m glad he’s enjoying his sixth grade. Good for him!!🥰 The girls were just amazing with that little boy and same with the other jobs that they did. The first day on the job sure did prove to be different than the operator thought. I think the patient who jumped off the third story roof was a surprise to him, but he handled it wonderfully. Thank goodness for the ambulance crew whether on the phone or in the ambulance heading out to the patient, they do a wonderful job!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌟🌟🌟🌟
That hit and run guy should get more than seven years for a hit and run killing. Seven years for taking a beautiful life and then running away like a coward. Disgusting.
I have driven myself to ER and then the nurses did don’t believe I was in much pain. I have a fairly high pain tolerance but will only go to the ER if I absolutely need to. My Drs know I rarely present at ER unless absolutely necessary. And no, not every one has vehicles to get to ER.
I am fire and rescue in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the states and I know how tough it is to be a Dispatch or phone operator in the EMS business, this type of job your heart has to be there. You can’t take this job just for a paycheck, you can’t you have to care about it
2 ambulances is standard practice in cases like this, its for back up, in people that can perform cpr, help carry people etc. The senior paramedic is there to overlook the whole scene and communicate with police etc. Doctor can do more advance things like intubate, crack the chest and has different meds. And so many police cars has to do with it being a crime scene. They need to secure the scene, talk to witnesses etc. Not every police car might have 2 people in it.
The police broke my legs, And then they kept driving past in a van in salford , Shouting you can hide but you cant run , i rang an ambulance they said its a police matter .
A lot of these people are elderly, who don't drive or have any family to take them to hospital. Also, they might think it's a situation which requires an ambulance.
My sister who is 72 years old lives alone and has no car. She has family nearby but they can't always get to her and sometimes it is easier to call an ambulance to come to you.
@@runnerbean5858 My grandma had a van and my mom had a car, so she took me to the hospital to take care of my bladder because my urination is too frequent and too annoying. My doctors told me to take the oxybutynin perfectly and punctually. I’m almost back to my regular self.

The mum of the 10 year old little boy was such a good mum.

The bit at the end with Sydney and Dorothy was so sad 😢😢
May all three RIP 🪦 😢

I’d think it would help if you’re a psychopath or sociopath… I’m the opposite of that so as much as I’d want to I just can’t…
Dorothy's dressing gown is beautiful.
Only seven years and four months for an entire life being taken away.
This episode tore at my heartstrings 💔 RIP my friends ❤️💐
What a handsome young man Shay is and so brave 😊
Good morning Banijay, and everyone ❤️🙂⚘️🚑.
When you are young everything seems like too much. You can’t see past the moment.
7 Jahre und 4 Monate dafür das der einen Menschen getötet hat ist absolut lächerlich!!
Tell me about it our justice system is appalling
7 years jail for a murder? Dam.
Poor little boy. Sad
I wonder why they send 2 ambulances, 7 police cars and the specialty advanced paramedic and Dr to one scene?

fr saw seven cars to arrest 2 boys before
Are you for real or a troll? Give your head a wobble and have some respect you idiot
It’s the same thing in every large city to especially in New York City
It takes a village to save a life

Britain is a weird country, the only place I know where people wearing "Air Ambulance" uniforms always drive around in cars.
Do people not have cars and that’s why they call for an ambulance or do people in Britain not take themselves to the hospital??
A lot of these people are elderly, who don't drive or have any family to take them to hospital. Also, they might think it's a situation which requires an ambulance.
Elderly people who didn’t drive are different from other people
Unfortunately the general public nowadays only have 1 braincell to share between them and won't take responsibility for their own health
