The layout of this design is fundamentally perfect, thus rendering every other wheeled vehicle instantly obsolete.
Hobo is adorable 😻 Thanks for taking care of him! Great humor to you all, loved how you gave "Tetanus" a new lease on life, very entertaining video.
That orange cat made the whole video worthwhile.
That is quiet possibly the weirdest, coolest thing I've seen in a long time.
Thank you! Life is too short to be boring!
I drove a 1965 Ford Econoline Pickup. I can’t believe that I drove that truck for my traveling sales job, worked for PCA international. Baby pictures in Walmart, K-Mart, Pamida Gibson, TG&Y. F.W.Woolworths. And others. I put around 20,000 miles on it then we pulled the engine and transmission out of a late 60s fairlane. A friend of mine bought it and updated and drove to the east coast. Cannot believe I’m still alive.
Just found your channel because this video popped up on my feed. Interesting and weird and old cars. What could go wrong! I’m using today to start at the hamster and move forward with watching.
Did you see the one Bad Chad mad , well like yours but a lot more work
You deserve so many more subs
Thank you for letting that stray kitty be around your place. She needs love and food.
Your subtle humor is not lost on me friends. The first cut is the deepest lmao what a timely thing to say
That is one of the coolest contraptions that I have ever seen. It reminds me of some models that I used to make out of spare parts.
Same, we grew up but we still play with toys!
Ok. My new favourite RUclips Channel.
I'm so glad that these guys are finally getting the attention and subs that they deserve!
I've watched many car resto YT vids, but this was the funniest. That rusty van is hilarious.
This is some clever engineering. Moving the cab to the rear and building up the front end again.
And the end result looks good. I bet some old Ford van designers are regretting they didn't think of this first.
The music with the kicking was perfect
Came for the Frankenvan stayed for Hobo, the epitomy of a cool cat. Subbed for more fun and craziness.
Yea I thought Hobo Cat was layed back. Just having a look
The Cat, was the Best Part!!!
Guys, I've gotta tell ya, I've been involved with the van culture since back in the 70's & this is probably the most original design I've seen in quite some time!!! This project is AWESOME!! Great work!! Hope to see you on the road someday!!
Wow, Thank you. We're glad we impress! Life is too short to be boring. See you out there!
The van body was shortened, what a creation!
The ad speaks to my soul. For me it yelled "Run like hell."
That 300 Engine is a Great Motor, strong runners last for ever. This truck belongs in my match box Tool Box
It's like the 24 hours of lemons except for a lot less rules.
That's a pretty decent build.👍
Cheers from the PNW Seattle Washington area.
Thank you. We did a 24 of LeMons rally a few years back. loved it, want to do another!
@@DawgstripProductions
We won our class the second time out.
Then placed 3rd the next one.
Ran a 89 Firebird with a 250, 6 cylinder.
Lot of fun.
Lost touch with the team so I'm not doing it anymore.
Was a blast.
absolutely loved this, havent done anything like this in years, swapping dipsticks round took me back to 1978 and ford escorts with a cortina engine in uk here, thanks oh and all the explanations were brilliant, proper youtube like it used to be
Thank you so much, glad you enjoyed!
I had a 4 speed column change in my original 1962 1200 Cortina Estate with a bench seat.
It ended up with a 1600E engine, box and all 1600 E transmission and suspension.
Loved it!
UK Fords were great to work on… ❤️🇷🇴
For some reason after discussing cutting the rear doors off an explorer, moving the cab back, mounting the rad support/headlight panel to the firewall and leaving the engine exposed, adding some old fenders a buddy has on front with a few buddies last night.....this pops up in my YT feed as soon as i open it up today.
Great minds think a like!
Just got to add.....I love that when you got the spark plug out
Was an amazing moment!
I love i came across this wacky goodness, it's just what we needed in this terrible overinflated time!
I like watching people invent new vehicles. Cool. They smaller guy reminds me of an actor I can't place right now. Especially his voice. Anyway I'll look for the next video.
Thank you so much, glad to have you with us!
I love these old vans. My dad had one when i was young with 3on the tree
'It's getting a 9" and the big six....' Sounds like AJ Foyt saying 'It's getting the big turbo and the soft compond tires...' This is great stuff.
Glad you got Hobo a good home and having a guard cat is a great advantage to keep intruders out. Enjoying your videos.
I love this build and layout. It's like an ole' water pumper dune buggy.
Realy eujoy the commentary 🤣. Awesome job guys !
Hobo looks like he gives lots of support.
It turned out looking nicer than I thought it might. Great work and ingenuity. As you did, I used an Econoline oil pan on my 81 Ford 255 V8 engine going into my 51 Ford Tudor to clear the tie rod. Greetings from Ohio.
This rig is awesome!!!! Incredible concept and execution that only youth can pull off...
Just found your channel 👍 brings back memories growing up in East Van 28th & Fraser in the late 70s / early 80s
cruising up and down the back alleys looking for old cars that had been sitting for some time. Then we would go up to the
back door " hey mister wanna sell us your car " What are you going to do with it? fix it up and drive it when we get our driver's license
we had to get our dads to buy it and transfer it (we were still too young) sometimes we got them for free I think
the most we ever paid for a backyard car was $125.00 bucks. then we had to get them home either my backyard or Garys yard
Useally pushed or sometimes dad would tow it home for us. some of the gems we got
1968 Ford Cortina GT / 1962 Ford Falcon 2dr (3 years later we put a 302 + drive train in it from a Maverick) / 1961 VW BUS
1964 Chevy nova / and a few others I can't Remember oh and A old B S A motorcycle
It kept us off the street
The cat is the star of the show
Nice metal work, I am impressed with your skills on making that piece.
Just found you guys!
Very awsome!
Awesome! Thank you!
Saw the Gambler run video with this thing first, then came across this. Instant sub. So cool to see a channel like this based in my home province!!!
Awesome, thank you!
That look of elation when the plug thread extractor actually worked (usually they snap off) : Yeah 👍🏻❤️🇷🇴
It was a magical moment.
I like this. It should be entered into the 24 hours of Lemons.
That is some fantastic engineering, I love it
I've always liked these vans. This concoction is cool.
Now that’s one way to fix that lightweight Econoline rear.
Wow guy's you have impressed me

The heads on a 240 are different also it will bolt onto a 300 but u better have high compression and dished piston
Beautiful land guys
Always wanted to move the rear badly to the front, flat bed truck style, but never thought about moving the front yo the back, cartoon style. Awesome
My first car was a 61 econoline that looked about the same as the second van you picked up. I drove ita couple months with one of the engine mounts rusted through. The engine was tilted over to one side on the dog house.. I had to drive it about thirty miles each day in the coldest months of winter, while I was in truck driving school. But yea,h it was a rust bucket! A funny story about it the time I was sitting at a stoplight, and a hot muscle car with an even hotter blonde in the passenger seat. The light turned green and the muscle car peeled out from the stop. I tried to do the same , except I had put my right foot through the floor. No problem though because I could open up the dog house and run the engine with a finger on the carburator linkage. After my first truck driving job I purchased a 77 short bed chevy van with a 350 four barrel, with three on the tree. I gave the old van to some friends of mine, who drove it into the front windows of an auto insurance office. My second Econoline van was a 65 econoline piskup. This one had a 240 with an oil bath air cleaner. The chevy had developed engine issues. I drove the 65 as a daily driver until the salt got very seriously into everything. I bought a new chevy work truck pick up and gave the econoline to a place in southern MN that specialized in Econoline's I didn't have any place to store the 65 and no knowledge of body work so I gave it a home where other people much more skilled than I could have access to spare parts, like I did. Was it a mistake? Absolutely! If I ever come into some wealth, I'll be getting one of those econolines as a toy for when I'm bored of the fancy cars I might have. On second thought, I'll have to money to get it fixed up no matter what.
Those brakes are great for slowing down and turning left at the same time.
Definitely a subscription from me. I like how you guys put the video together and narrated it. Also a fan of how your guy's voices sound. Not really sure why, just a fan.
