    Excellent stuff. Been using Rio double tapers for a while. Maybe try the SA trout to change it up a bit.

    Hi Paul, would the expert distance work on a #6 Orvis glass rod. I’m sure it would on my TCR 69/1 but I like to use glass occasionally.

      I don’t see why not, it’s true to weight Paul. Unlike many lines nowadays that are heavier than standard!

      Glass rods can be overlined/underlined with ease and are not particularly sensitive to line choice - other than in subjective feel. The Orvis #6 is reasonably powerful, can cast a long line and is well suited for a long - belly line. Match the line to the fishing.... the long belly is versatile.
