I like these leaders for streamer fishing on brooks, you can get good turnover of quite bulky flies on lightish tackle, but i think there are better options for most other situations
I went through a period of about 18 months fishing them all the time with poppers here. But I was missing fish and I wasn’t sure if it was the leader stretch. Since then I’m back to straight 40lbs. What I would say is that accuracy has suffered but hook rate has gone up. I’ll stick this one on this week and compare again. Life is a continuous experiment 😆
great video paul… I am gonna try this with 12lb down here. i feel like that is a great concept but if you did something like that for tarpon, i don’t see where you could put the class tippet unless you had it knotted in prior and then add the shock after… Makes me curious
