I can recommend K&W coil over kits. My 2000 Z3 had them when I bought it. Fitted by a well known racer by the name of Gary Goodyear, the car handled impeccably.
@FeelTheDrive whats that gotta do with a beginner who buys this suspension then realises they have an incorrect alignment in the rear. it should be noted that it comes with lowering the car and if you want a normal alignment in the rear you cant have that without doing the mod. it is 100% info anyone who wants to modify there suspension should be aware of. it is a major supporting mod to lowering the car
@slimsqde7397 plenty of people have lowered Z3s without needing to weld any kit on to align the rears 🤷🏽♂️ sure there's reasons it might be needed but for the vast majority it's not something that's considered. So it's a good thing you've commented to let people know it's something they should think about!
my car got lowered by changing the engine from 1.8 to 3.0 liter, much heavier engine, car lowered itself about 4 cm in the front. Car is set up for drifting, so more weight in the front is good
@@FeelTheDrive it wasn't that easy, i ended up with an engine from a 330 compaq from england, the only thing that didn't fit was my airco, i need to install another radiator for tht in front of my normal one. that will be done after other projects are done. exaust was also an issue, ended up making a custom one. had to change the gearbox, because the shiftknob was a bit more to the back, so it didn't fit the space in the console, kept the 50% lock differential, so my top speed is realy low, but i can drive 50 kmh in 5th gear, and drift in 3th now. realy short ranges for each gear. i run it now without the air control meter ( no idea what the real name is) without lamda sone, and with cat. but if i go about 50kmh, shift back to 3rd, hit the throttle, let go of the clutch, it goes sideways instantly. big roundabouts i can take sideways with 80 kmh exit speed after 3/4 round drift
one question, my 1.9 103kw came with M suspension, they sit lower than the standard ones, and i think they're different, can you recommend what should i get?
Have a read of this forum thread, some really useful info: www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?2117715-1996-BMW-Z3-1-9-Upgrading-M-Sports-Suspension
Hey thanks for watching! OEM is what the car came from the factory with, the car didn't come from factory with coilovers. If you want to keep the same ride height you don't need to change anything, just stick to the Stage 1 options in the video!
Because they're cheaper than the known brands. And sure it's Zee if you throw your tea in the river, but for us who drink the tea it's Zed. There are other places other than the US you know.

Thanks for the presentation and summary. It consists adequate information for me as a newbie to start the process.
Thanks for watching! We're glad it was helpful
no mention of the camber gain in the rear that can only be fixed with a weld on kit?
@slimsqde7397 doesn't sound very beginner to be honest

Yup, the 4 cylinder suspension is softer than the 6 cylinder suspension! How did you find the engine swap? Most of it should be plug and play right?

What about the football in the springs mod?
Don't do that 😂 that's not a real mod, it's not safe nor effective
I am learning about the struts and pads lowering springs how much would all that cost which cheap but good ones cost cwith labor

@@FeelTheDrive thank you!
Thank you 🙏
Whats a good oem coilover kit cause I like the ride height I dont want to lower..

Did you get a new z bro?
All will be revealed....this summer
Why do people always want unknown coilovers? Just get a B12 kit from reputable Bilstein and Eibach and done!
And its nod a Zed3, its a Zee3.

@@FeelTheDrive True, but the Zee 3 was made in the USA 😎
As someone who's from the US you literally made me facepalm. Plenty of countries say zed and there's nothing wrong with that. Don't be an elitist.
