How an Innocent photo with Raila Odinga ruined my life and why I was scared of coming back to Kenya

- When Sasha Mbote saw Hon.Raila Odinga, she was star struck.
To her, this man is an enigma and a role model to many.
But if she was to go back to 2017, she would think twice about taking photos with Raila because the pain, hurt, and betrayal she experienced right after posting them online is something she will remember for the rest of her life.
How did she end up being called baba's side chick and why was she afraid to come back home?
Here is Lynn Ngugi with today's episode of LNS

Cyber bullying should be considered a big crime. Because social media is here to stay but this bullying should be taken so seriously. People are killing them selves coz of this.
if you can't stand cyber bullying stay away from social media.
@@calvoh9715 you comment is the same as telling a child to stop going to school because they are not copping with being bullied. It’s the same as telling a worker to quit their job because they cannot stand work place bullying.
Social media is a necessity. It is not just a gossip avenue, it’s a very important and powerful research tool. Insight.
@@xoxomacx2539 What he means is ... it's practically impossible to kill the vice completely. Somehow, we have to live with it. ( Whether we like it or not)
@@calvoh9715 Coz you have never experienced n you are quick to judge.
Cyber bullying should be reported. People behind fake news should be prosecuted whenever possible. That Kilonzo if he's known can still be prosecuted. It's good to forgive but justice should always be served .
What a woman!! I love that she’s anti patriarchy, feminist, WOKE, anti religiosity, trauma informed, empowered and empowering!! Her parents sound incredible and their love and support raised an incredible woman!!!
This woman, Sasha, is a true advocate for her people! 👏🏽 👏🏽 I'm learning a lot from her by just listening to this interview.
I love the way she gives all the honour to God. Such an inspiration. Our living God never lets a prayerful soul down❤❤
Can we have a law where people can SERIOUSLY sue for defamation of character especially from blogs
@@JustaBrines calm down
The constitution protects free speech... 2010 1a, 33, 35...
The speech you have to come and say blogs should be sued is procted for a reason..
Yes,a very toxic feminist
@@Canadian1987guy I am sure my comment was on DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER ESPECIALLY FROM BLOGGS !!! I guess you didn’t read that part but anyway we move
Again you're protected, what she can sue for is loss of wages. Or any monies.
Shame on those who started the rumours and disrespect to this lady and to Raila Amolo Odinga. Shame on our media which like gossip Instead of proper news
Big shame!
It's sad, people are just so shameless and wicked at times
Truth be said, this lady is so beautiful. I wish l met her
Too much hatred and negativity in the WORLD. MEDIA never gets their story straight. God bless her.
Even though pple must talk!!!!shame on them but they brought agreat woman in Sasha
I really liked this interview. I love you for telling this man that as long as you are on African soil whether you are in Nigeria or Kenya you are African. I am very proud for the work you are doing with young girls. Be blessed!!!
Wow! What a woman! If only I could get the chance to meet her.She is a gem. Finally someone who doesn't believe in mediocrity, someone who does not follow the masses, someone who is not an average human being
This woman is a true definition of someone who has tapped into her strengths, embraced the world's flaws, and just looks at the world as a ball and not a playing field because she is holding the world as a ball

Are we not going to talk about her service to the community. I love her already.
I love Sasha's vibe. Despite the negative energy the people gave her, she never took it to heart. Instead she catapulted a reasonable distance towards the better. I wouldn't mind watching another show of her.
Thanks Lynn Ngugi. You are the best. 💜
She has a very good heart ❤️
This is one of those interviews I will watch, rewatch and rewatch....am Soo proud to see a fellow woman lifting other women.... it's Soo dear to me since it has always been my dream to be in that industry... Thanks Lynn for bringing this to us.May God bless you and His grace be upon you always....

Having known Sasha for the past 5 years, she is one strong and outspoken person I have ever met. She is also kind-hearted and will never do anything to hurt any living thing. She is a Sister to me and the past few yrs have been the toughest yrs in her life but by God's strength, she is still standing. Love you gal and i am always praying for you.

Sasha you are a very very intelligent and strong woman! As for me I never believed that story I knew you were just a fan excited to see Baba. Another thing is that I just pray that mama Ida will look for you and give you the needed support or rather partner with you in keeping girls in school initiative because it's a noble course!
I just love her "never give up" spirit. The way she laughs at her pain... Hope I'll get there someday. You're a blessed woman Sasha. May you continue impacting more lives.
Lynn, thank you for these stories.
What a show 👌, I've cried, I've laughed, I've learned a lot.... She has hid her life in Christ and the sky isn't even the limit. I'll trust God one day I'll travel with maridadi tours.

Honestly this has been the most interesting enjoyable interview I have watch here Lynne…not forgetting the hard times she has gone through , but her attitude…is above the roof
Thank you lynn for airing this and am happy that she found peace and still going on with her purpose in life(helping the needy)and still working hard
Sasha, you have said something that went through my heart like an arrow! That helping the community is a calling. I’m in this myself and I know how much I have had to pay from my pocket to sustain the CBO I’m running in Kilifi! God bless your endeavors 🙏
I love Raila so much I think if I met him I would embarrass myself. And I'm not even Kenyan . I would may be kneel or crawl 🤣🤣
Wow this woman is phenomenal, a POWERHOUSE. The work she is doing is impactful. Oh and she came bearing gifts, I am just in Awe❤ I love what she has said that Women are Goddess, my God I can listen to her all day. Yes @Lynn Ngugi we need her back to talk about how she overcame about the setbacks when Covid-19 struck and how she overcame the dilemma on how whether going back to employment or continue with entreprenuership. We need to start holding Kenyan media accountable when they air news without doing their due diligence. Major media stations should not be the main catalyst when it comes to spreading rumors. Some people take anything on their platforms as the gospel truth.
We need to hold them accountable
You can sue for defamation and assassination of character.
@@jnjugu10 true but lets be honest, the average Kenyan does not have resources available to them to sue and win against major media companies not to talk of corruption. Its a lose lose. One day they will cross the wrong one w millions until then its up to us as citizens to hold them accountable.
I have been checking if I can see your notification 😜☺️ thank you finally here we are again thank you Lynn Ngugi without you on RUclips I dnt know how we can survive

I remember meeting Sonko with his crew and we were to take photos with my work mates but the bodyguards refused and I was like Wana roho mbaya. Now have come to realise why they refused.
A very wonderful interview, This Lady Sasha, and Lady Lynn, you both make me feel very proud of you as African Women.
I hope to talk with you Lady Lynn, at some point in time. The time has arrived for all of Africa to come together and work together. It is time to end the infighting and the bullying and the deprecating of our own people. There is a world of colonizing powers in the Developed countries and the only way that Africa will be able to stand and hold its own is for my African people to unite and build up each other. Educate our young people and ensure that our Governments create employment opportunities for our people and especially for the young people.
She's an amazing human being, has always lent a listening ear and given me good advice. May she be blessed.
This is the best show i have ever watch. Lynn God bless and Sasha you have awaked a gal in me.

Wow... God wanted me to watch this video. I have been watching your videos Lynn and they really inspire me but Sasha has touched on something that I am struggling with right now, Forgiveness.
I am currently in Qatar and it has not been easy. Most of my colleagues are North African arabs and I tell you, they are a hard bunch to deal with. I am a strong willed woman working in an environment where black women can't speak up. We are having a hard time with the Kenyan ladies because these people try to frustrate us at all cost because they are intimidated by us. I have been asking God to help me change my attitude and give me a heart of forgiveness. Sasha has really inspired me because her positive energy and laughter is what I've been praying for. I tend to take things too seriously and build walls that push people away as a defence mechanism. This started when I was a child cuz of some things people put me through, especially women and girls. I've come to see how toxic that is and have been praying about it. I have a big dream as an artist, especially for the African artists. I know I'll have to work with people at some time. God brought me to Qatar not only for financial benefits but also to build my character for His purpose in my life to be fulfilled. Many ladies on your show have inspired me, especially to see women from a positive perspective.
Thank you Lynn for the good work that you are doing. God bless you.
And thank you Sasha for inspiring me to continue working on having a forgiving heart. My dream is to let go of all the baggage and be a spring of joy to many, just like you.
God bless you!

This is so true. When I opened my NGO somebody asked me, "u are now tired of working and decided kukula pesa ya wazungu". This broke my heart coz to be honest it's a calling.
