I think it's partly because Akuma never had a portrait for ST or COTA, it wasn't until Alpha that we got to see his big ugly mug close up and his character fleshed out 😂 As cool as Akuma was (and still is) when he first appeared, I get a disconnect when I look at his sprite in ST and COTA.
I inadvertently picked up a Sega Netlink setup for the Saturn years ago. It was mixed in with a box of parts I picked up on eBay. I'm not sure what it could do now, but I need to play around with it just for the nostalgia.

Nah, this one is pretty old and from the arcade version. I need to re-do it with a better frame rate and higher resolution. I was literally thinking about that today because of the X-Men 97 show. Would be a good idea to add those two from a console version or something.
Yeah it’s like the prototype Marvel vs Capcom. I remember printing off the Akuma code for this on GameFAQs. I’d take it to the arcade and it’d manage to work like half of the time if I was lucky!
From a story perspective yeah, but all the "X-abilities" in the context of this game cost super meter to use. They work kind of like EX moves in Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, etc. His whip grabs are all just regular moves
Not a fan of when they blend Marvel with Capcom characters. Would like a Marvel fighting game like Injustice that only has characters from that pariticular franchise
Yeah meter usage is weird in this game. Supers use 50-100% of the bar. X-Abilities use around 50% ... Iceman's fist, Silver Samurai's elemental swords, etc. Akuma's teleport is treated like an X-Ability in this one.
@@DoctorBadvibes and his supers look like they only use 2/3 of the bar. I never knew that this was akumas second appearance after Super Turbo. A lot of people think it’s alpha 1 but it’s not. I didn’t even know that till 5 years ago

How was everyone able to do this without analog sticks on the controller?
I can’t play these with analog sticks. Fight sticks preferred, but I still use the d-pad if I’m using a regular controller
