About half a million years ago I did a bit of metal detecting but then life got in the way and I ended up half way round the world. I had a truly awful detector to start with - a BFO50 I think but then moved on to a Fisher 1260X which was cracking. I also had a very lightweight thing which was really good but can't remember what it was! I'm back in blighty now and my knees are too knackered for tramping round fields but I love watching your vids. Good stuff :-)

Another great video - absolutely loved the Saxon coin. Can you by any chance remember what the 900's VDI readings were like for those two early bronze finds? Might possibly help me with something I dug up a couple of days ago if you can🤞
Quite low for the bronze fragments, low teens

Hi mate, yes field 1, 5 recovery, max volume, sens at 25 , all tone worked well

What settings are you running on the 900 Graeme..??
Simple and effective unearthed settings allen, field 1, sens 25, 5 recovery on arable, all tones, max volume, no thresh
