my first day out I wanted to return this because it was jumpy and crazy. I learned fast enough to back down on the swing speed, sensitivity and experment with the different freqs, it works like a charm now,, finding coins lead sinkers, fishing lures, and even musket balls on the Hudson river, its my third machine since i started this hobby 8 years back, this machine is magic
It really is a great machine. In my experience, which is somewhat limited, but anyway, I’ve found the Minelab detectors to be jumpy in general - my equinox 600 is the same. But once it’s tuned in it does an amazing job. Thanks for the input 👍 & carry on detecting!
Total beginner here. WAY too complex for me, and non-intuitive settings. Will take forever to figure it out. Are all detectors this complex?, or are there simpler ones (with decent quality)?
Hi. I can understand how you feel this way & there are simpler detectors available, but many of the settings are preset for beginners. This detector is a pick it up and start detecting immediately detector if you want it to be. Turn it on, press the presets button to chose between field mode, park mode, or beach mode, do a noise cancel, and you’re ready to detect. Thanks for the feedback back 👍
Try a British built C Scope detector. No fancy displays. Just two knobs on the budget range ones for sensitivity and discrimination and it just beeps if you are over anything worth digging 🙂

Great for the price😊
Totally agree. Well worth the money. 👍 Thanks for watching
Bien Memo buena informacion
I use to own the X-terra Pro, my only problem was the jumpy VDIs but it rocked on the beach
I think that may be a Minelab thing. My Equinox 600 is the same.

Not worth anything when you can get better machines with out all the crap you have to go through shit on gold as well
Thanks for your input
I find everything with mine.. if you cannot figure this machine out within 10 hours of use, you need to find another hobby! Its not difficult
