- In this update the new Old Wounds storyline and the story of a new Flashpoint called the "Shrine of Silence" will be added along with the return of the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event. This is an edited version of the developer livestream that aired on Wednesday, May 3rd.

Can we please have our old companions in more scenes. We miss them! And dammit I want Kira in more of the missions. Yall already got me on edge for my girl because shes got a lot going on in her head. For the love of all please take care of her. And where tf is Jaesa at?! Sis came back and we haven't seen her since then.
its probably a very limited budget they have. you need a lot of the old voice actors for companions
I want this so much as well, but I understand how much it costs to bring these voice actors back. Damn, I want more interactions with Jaesa and Vette and the gang.

Please, can you add an option where you can have Mouse 2 'toggled' so that the cursor is already 'held' without the player always having to hold Mouse 2? 🙄😭
It would be nice if you at least added an option to have that sort of crosshair so you don't gotta hold down mouse 2 all the time, Guild Wars 2 did it and it was awesome. 👀

It would be great if that 10th years anniversary "all year long celebration" would start already. It was advertised as such big thing yet there is almost nothing really. Another 2h content patch, and another in december, maybe next year. Just ask EA for more cash and more manpower. Please!
What do you mean, we got 16 new armours that were already in the game, a different coloured droid pet (it's green) and a new reward in nightlife that's a different colour skiff, completely new and amazing content.
If they ask ea for more money the answer will probably be wait your still getting money for a 10 year old game?
And who are you to be making demands ? The game is already the best MMO out despite its age. The LotS trailer was better than the entire sequel trilogy . The story has been amazing from class story to current. Being sensitive to nostalgia and having a story still progressing for 11 years now is awesome, it’s like I feel both excited and nostalgic at the same time when new story drops

Just aa few quick questions. Is the Sahar deco 1 or multiple to decorate more than 1 stronghold. Is there going to be a different vehicle dropping from slot machines instead of the Vectron that has been there for 2 years now? Is there ever going to be a way to by-pass Echoes of Oblivion ( I swear you devs have it in for people with a fear of heights.) ? I'd like to get more than just my main through it. Thank you.

Nope, you'll just keep getting the same mount hundreds of times (I immediately throw them away now, I have so many of them), even more frustrating when they put them in the emperor's slot machine. They are adding a slightly different coloured skiff though (amazing I know).
Excited to check out the new stuff but I'm really wishing there was some news on R4 MM.

@Gecko raw asg i am still a subscriber. I have been since launch. But EA has cut the crew to a skeleton which, sadly makes reskinning everything a necessity.
Just look at the Imp side of Manaan in LOTS: one big square that you have to run thru 3 times. Thats creative? Ilove this game. But i have been bitterly disappointed in what has been released in the last two years compared to what was hyped. And the treatment of anyone who voices a negative opinion? Look what they did to Aviira and other content creators who legitimately criticized LOTS.. BANNED!!
This game need more love from the dev and the players. The story telling is very good. All we need is to get more contents that are meaningful and making impact for players.
You are not getting that because EA has seen since Fallen Order. That there are way more interest in gamers pockets for that than BioWare's 10+ year SWTOR. THAT. Is why you are not getting the care from the devs, it all comes down to EA themselves. They know it's not making a ton of Gamers Buying the past Expansions (excluding Cartel Market stuff). Vs Fallen Order, which has continued to sell millions upon millions since it released, same thing will happend with Jedi Survivor when they fix the issues in that sequel. Money talks always for a Publisher over communitys care and dev's passion.

One thing I really can say I've appreciated about SWTOR over the past couple of years is the texture fidelity to all of the newer environments and characters. Its really refreshing to see the game look good even into the 2020s.

I'm excited about all of this but I have to mention specifically, I have avoided PVP because it's irritating to queue up and then end up in it with people who are more interested in beating on the clueless player (I admit I am very new to this style of game and PVP) I literally only did the alliance alert that required it on 2 characters before saying it wasn't worth it. These changes sound like they may give a chance to make it tolerable for players like me at the least for finishing the alliance alerts if not actually get involved in playing the PVP stuff!

I've loved this game since it launched.
I only have 2 asks...
1) Increase the credit limit per toon/account. :)
2) Give us a companion vendor to select which companion to romance. I want to be able to change my main's romantic partner because the game wouldn't allow me to escape a returning companion's conversation no matter how much I spammed the escape button. Understand, that during KOTFE, I REALLY wanted Arcann as a romance option. Imagine my dismay when I was checking out all the conversations with Nadia and when I hit escape, the game said "nope". Sigh...I literally have billions of credits I would give up if my main's romance companion was Arcann again.

Credit economy/inflation will not be fixed in any way by "taxing." Rich players will notice no difference at all. The only way to put a dent into this issue is to let players VOLUNTARILY spend credits on things they want, like appearance changes, special cosmetics, etc. Perhaps you could even add a "story reset" switch for the class/planet stories that costs credits, so veterans don't have to make a new character in order to replay the amazing story content in this game.

If this is what you call "growing", then I want what you're smoking. This game is barely alive and makes some pretty backwards decisions like the vast majority of 7.0. Maybe EA should, you know throw around all that money they earn for some real growth.
@@baelinthefisherman9636 The 64-bit update proves that they are committed to the game's continued existence, and is probably the biggest step forward this game has taken since KOTFE.
New approaches they've taken to story content in 7.1 onwards has been really solid, and shows that they're aware of the flaws that have been plaguing the game's narrative since KOTFE.
I cant speak for the health of the game's player base, but in terms of the game itself, it's been steadily growing since 7.0 in loads of good ways.
@@baelinthefisherman9636 The new updates have been good, that's coming from someone who's played since around a year after release. You just have to adapt to some gameplay changes. Loved the fact they implemented the different class types so you can have 2 skills from 2 different classes. Actually allows you to use different playstyles on the same character, which is handy if you use blasters. My BH can finally use a rifle if he wants + having a Vanguard skills.

Ehem the inflation-measure you put in, was really really bad though.
Basically for me who have billions it dont hurt me at all, but for a new player, paying 3-5k for a quicktravel on a starterplanet? (at that time I actually didnt even have enough on that character to do the qt..)
This is just hurting the game, as it makes the game much more a "hassle" for new players.
There should be better scaleing on the QT prices based on the level of the character and "expected" amount of credits.
On Tython travelling back to the Temple from Kalikari Wilds again cost about 3k, while I had just a mere 1,5k or 2k, which resulted in me being forced to walk the distance back, which basically wasted my time, and time is precious.
Had I been a new character I think I'd not picked this up as my focus game to put it that way.
Hear, hear! I'll repost my independent comment, because this ridiculous "taxing" methodology is just so boneheaded, for all the reasons you specified:

tl;dr - Make it so players *want* to spend creds, and give them plenty of opportunities to do so. Rich players are so rich, the devs' suggested changes will do nothing. Anything else not only hurts new players, but also fails to achieve any kind of change to the economy.

tbh I'm just really happy for the continued support for this game from the devs, I just hope they get more funding/resource.
This stream was by far the saddest thing I have ever seen. How can you seriously ban people for asking about content you promised 2 years ago for "early 2022"? It would have been totally okay if you just said that NiM R4 will be delayed or is currency on hold, but completely ignoring this topic and punishing people for wanting to play your game was absolutely inappropriate. Thanks for actively killing the game I very much enjoyed playing the past 12 years. Most of my guild mates cancelled their subscription yesterday due to this stream and I too don't wanna be part of a game that threats their community like shit. #justice4R4
Oh you’re cool, making demands, for a MM op that you probably can’t even complete on HM . Simple fact SWTOR is fun and people are willing to pay for entertainment… even the old content is fun, queuing up for old FPS for the weekly. And dont even get me started on the story, havnt done agent story in almost a decade, loved it even more the 2nd time

The single most underrated MMO today.
Maybe it's just me but does it seem like Musco doesn't want to do this stream, in fact he looks piss off about something. Jackie seems cool and full of good energy. I don't know it just seems like he doesn't care and has better things to do then do this dev stream.

Most important thing for me is that they shouldn't ruin convenience stuff, such as Quick Travel... that should always remain free.
The scaling tax for GTN based on actual value of item/sale achieved is actually something I suggested to them earlier this year via ingame feedback, so I'm happy to see it make the cut.
It makes a lot more sense to model the taxation system based on the real world, i.e. the more money you make, the higher the tax percentage will be, and likewise, if you do a small-time trade, it's just not fair to tax you the exact same percentage as someone who has just made a billion credits.
Sad to see the state of the game. Treating a borderline hotfix as a major patch.

It might as well be dead. Compared to other MMOs in this class, SWTOR's development has been utterly awful. This is coming from someone who has played since launch until 7.0 finally lost me. The lackluster 6 month "updates" are pathetic. Where was the big 10 year anniversary celebration with lots of content last year? Nothing.

I love SWTOR. I haven't been back in a few years due to lack of expansions. I WANT MORE EXPANSIONS!!!!!
So the new items are a repainted skiff, a repainted droid (not to mention that the last gift was a repainted droid) and two new pistols, wow, just wow, I mean that's get so excited.
Edit: even the new armours are just slightly different old armours. Not to mention the decorations look very familiar, like the hanging lamps. If you're going to add armour sets make them worth actually getting, i can already dress as a voss mystic, that's not new, that's something already in the game on voss.
It's a skeleton crew. You either get new content or new pay pig items. I'll take the former.

As I love this game. Im happy with 2-3 updates per year. But. Operations should be F2p. They made pvp free. If operations were F2p more would want to learn how to raid.

I know that there must’ve been a reason for removing Ranked PvP, but is that going to return revamped, or could you guys at the SWTOR hq please consider a skill-based match making system? I think that some type of differentiation between newer players just stepping into pvp, and more veteran players who are very experienced and comfortable with the combat system, would be good, that’s just my 2 cents on the matter. Everything else mentioned is very exciting!!! I’m looking forward to all the new content aside from the deco’s personally, but that’s just me. Voss here we come!!! 😃👍

Can you just release full expansions like back when MMOs were cool? This one episode every 6 months is kinda bullshit.
To be fair, the only expansions that actually launched with their full stories were Hutt Cartel and Eternal Throne, and that's only because those stories were really small, and followed by a bunch of disconnected story updates.
All expansions that focus on a single, cohesive narrative always launch in chunks, although the length of time between updates certainly has been increasing too much.

As a player since 2013, I would like ranked back. I've only been interested in competitive games.PVE is fun but I need more. AI aren't going to be as strong as the people I fight that are rly good at the game. Just disable whispering for ranked if you guys are having a problem. I need to compete, it's a drive and seeing how much you care about the other aspects im hoping you'll give a little more attention here. This game is literally better than WoW in EVERY aspect IMO, just needs to match the pvp scene and you'll slaughter any competition.
Also can we get more robe sets with clone armor on the inside. Like cool lookin ones too similar to what the jedi generals would wear leading their platoon in clone wars. Would be fire AF.

You should have hired an economic advisor to deal with in game inflation. The reason prices are so high is not because players have too much money, it's because of the scarcity of commodities. If you want to bring down prices on the GTN for players, have a bot control the amount of every item for sale. Have it flood the market when necessary and buyout the market when necessary. This will keep prices at or near what they should be.

Can we please get a zakuul palace + spire throne room just take vaylins caslte from chapter dragon maw chapter clean it up add hooks and then add a speeder that goes to the spire from chapter story the eternal throne clean it up without it being damaged let us go up the spire and place a throne there that clickable to sit in and hooks ofc and add for cartel market zakuul guards personal bundle with zakuul knights horizon guards gaurd with pike and shield like u see in chapter 2 when you meet valkorion for the first time and the assets are there wouldn't take insane long also don't make it part of the seasonal pass want this for my eternal empire of zakuul guild thanks ❤

I can't speak for everyone, but new pattern designs for old, already solid armour is *exactly* what I'd want from a daily area.
If they had a daily area exclusively for reskins of base-game Trooper armour, I'd be all over it.
Honestly feel like there needs to be a price cap on everything on the GTN. 2 billion credits for an item is absolutely obnoxious especailly for new players. I feel like even selling mats every day will still take you months to even be able to buy an end game item. That and conquest rewards are a joke. "3,000,5,500,10,000 and 25,000 credits" What on earth are you supposed to do with 3,000 credits at level 80.
There has to be something to remove the amount of credits in the GTN and or just increase the rewards from quests.

Have they even apologized yet for the cluster release of 7.0 was yet? I haven't played since 7.0 I unsubscribed and refused to pay for anything from EA since. They refused to fix the games and wanted to push more content out and wanted use to test it vs them fix what was broken. I have no Idea what happens after the final fights with Malgus haven't completed it yet.

Can we get some love (buffs) for Sith Assassins? At least pvp wise they lack burst and dmg compared to other classes.
Also bring back 2.0 Hatred Sin, spreading DoT's via Death Field was much better than doing it with Lacerate and get insta killed while doing that.
What Hatred sin lacks the most is damage reduction compared to other classes.
The economy used to be a lot better when we had to pay for things like buying skills and paying for taxis. And high-end players don't really have anything substantial to get our money out of the economy. When you can have infinite money, we need a required way to delete it.
Go back to paying for skills. If you can, I'd charge a higher rate for players who have the 8 class completion achievement.
Charge more for teleporting.
Taxes for GTN.
Charge a lot for repairing high-end gear.

@@SwobyJ Agreed. Let players spend creds on stuff they really want to/things they might wanna change around just for kicks on the regular. Make it so being rich is has clear, attainable, and favorable goals. Carrot, not stick.
@@jonathanbourke305 We're talking about people with hundreds of billions of credits. They need something mandatory to spend credits on. I guarantee some of my friends with 500 billion credits will not buy anything really expensive like that because they'll act like they're poor. Pretend these are like the billionaires IRL. They horde money and basically do everything they can not to spend it and act like there somehow isn't infinite money in the game.
You can charge for those other things, too. I personally would love to have a way to replay story content, especially since I record SWTOR for myself and my channel. When I found out you could get Vowrawn as emperor, I wanted so badly to be able to replay that part again so I could have that. Instead, I made a whole new character and went through the entire story from scratch just so I could have that. If I remember correctly, we do have a way to redo some story content but what we did originally remains the canon choices, which sucks.
@@suicune2001 I hear ya, but my real issue is, again, that these taxes won't change anything. The guy with 500 billion won't feel it at all, even if it's mandatory, while the guy with 100 million will. Hence the inflation won't be solved, which we both agree is a problem. Give the very rich guy something he **really** wants for a credit charge perhaps even something he'll regularly/often want, and he'll spend, or at least some of them will.
Re. skyrocketing GTN prices I’d suggest to introduce the NPC vendors which would sell ALL items for salty high price. This would introduce a cap for other players to work with and compete with pricing and at same time if someone’s not bothered - sink your credits.
Another thought I entertained was to stop generating credits from mobs for some time and see what happens without printing money. ;)

They want feedback? I'm guessing just positive feedback, as recently in the past they've been very anti negative feedback.
But yeah all these changes to the gtn, especially higher taxes will just push even more players into trading items over chat for billions, i didn't used to, i still sold my hypercrates on the gtn, but if I'm going to make even less money then I'll just sell them via trade. This doesn't solve the inflation problem.
You really want to solve inflation, update in game rewards so they give newer players more credits and have a purchase credits option in the cartel market instantly giving a fixed exchange rate between cartel coins and credits, like 100 cartel coins for 1 million credits.
It's crazy how little you put out and you still going after all these years.
SWTOR is a money printing machine , of course it’s still going. SWTOR is fun and people are more than willing to shell out cash for entertainment

IP is keeping this game alive. I would say that game makes just enough money that it breaks even or little above. To put it simply game makes bare minimum and puts out bare minimum.
What is it already 2 yeaars since Legacy of The Sith ? And all you got is 7.2...7.3 ain't out yet. And it's so little content. Please don't shill for this game. You have overpaid for this game 100 times over. Manaan stronghold still only has 4 rooms,right ? 4.0 was the last hoorah for this game. 5.0 was cool at start but as usual dry spell between exp---updates is like 2 years or more.
The people who were at BW 10 years and more all left or are leaving.
Taxes? What taxes? And what does it mean "collect on deposit"... um what? We need more explanation there....
Just leave the casino open. There is your money sink. Taxing is only hurting the newer/poorer player base.

Hoping for a throwback 2D animated Star Wars AU written by myself, directed by Genndy Tartovkovsky and staring Steve Blum and Chris Evans. I was hoping to voice the character Sol who only has a few scenes. Imagine the Republic and Empire back full force battling each other. The Jedi have a council like episodes 1-3 and the Sith a Dark Council like Knights of the Old Republic. It's about two Sith lovers named Constance and Sol. A ruthless Sith Lord named Valdec wounds Sol, a sith pilot legend, to a life of injury and hiding during an opening scene star destroyer infiltration Sith power play. Though the power play is against Sol's master, Valdec tries to kill Sol, against orders to recruit him, so he can take ancient lightsabers from Sol's chambers. Constance, a female lightning caster, is hidden by Sol last second so Valdec doesn't kill her too. Valdec thinks Sol is hiding the sabers not his lover. Constance narrowly saves his life after Valdec leaves. The sith empress at the time, Volwen, decides to kill Valdec 5 years later because he keeps destroying resources instead of commondeering them. Volwen uses a double agent chiss named Calixta to recruit all of Valdec's enemies on the republic and imperial sides alike. Calixta is two characters and voices to completely maintain her identities. Valdec was a jedi who was corrupted in his youth so they recruit his former master Zaila who is an older female jedi master with Yoda level force powers. She has spectral antlers and a poncho like Luke. They also team with another jedi, Janson Heartwell who used to be a pilot that Sol shot down after Janson saved a medical frigate 5 years before. Janson, at the time, sacrifices his life so that Sol would kill him instead of the medical frigate but Sol is so impressed by Janson's flying that he only disables Janson's ship. Janson is a smooth voiced cool guy like Steve Blum with a dualsaber like Maul but green or blue. He isn't like Luke or Rey. He's a former pilot with tons of resolve and no hesitation aka what the jedi need so little kids stop idolizing villains. They recruit the jedi using Calixta's connections and inconclusive test results at factories that flag jedi inspection. After the jedi are lured in and battle droids, they see walls of screens showing Valdec's atrocities. Sol and Constance have a samurai droid that's more of a Sith cyborg like Gray Fox from metal gear named Lou. Imperial royalty poisoned his brother to beat his academy flight scores but he crashes and dies instead of just losing. This turns Lou into a killing machine until the betrayers are identified. Zaila also has a republic trooper veteran with her, named Xinix, in storm trooper gear that has ptsd and visions of lost comrades that Zaila quells and calms with the force so he can still fight. Sol, Constance, Zaila, Lou, Calixta, and Xinix all team up but before fighting Valdec at his ship yard planet they need more pilots for aerial reinforcements. They head to a forest world to recruit Janson's sister smuggler named Ofora. Ofora is freelance, hates the empire, and disagrees with corrupt republic politics. She is being held captive by pirates that are poaching and trying to capture viscious alien creatures who spawn unnaturally fast like Aliens. Ofora, once in on the job, disagrees with the pirates after seeing the job's true objective. Another jedi named Setsuna or maybe Rey is also on the planet trying to kill the poachers for galactic crimes. They both join the crew after a big fight with the pirates and creatures.
At the end Lou, Constance, Janson, Zaila, and Setsuna/Rey storm Valdec's shipyard HQ, defeat him and blow up the entire place angering Volwen. Calixta, Xinix, Ofora and Sol fight in the air above the shipyard so they don't die instantly. 2 other pilots named Oberon and Prysma join them as well who are Mandolorians which I'll explain later.
In the end Constance is tricked into carbonite but melts her way out before wounding Valdec severely. Janson, Lou, Setsuna and Zaila are busy fighting Valdec's elite guard. Constance is semi blind from the carbonite so Valdec escapes. Xinix flies down planetside and sneaks on Valdec's escape vessel. Xinix knows if he blows it up on land that Valdec will live so he let's him takeoff. Xinix sneaks up behind him once airborne. Valdec turns to see Xinix and all of Xinix's dead comrades as blue force ghosts. Somehow they open fire though spectral and kill Valdec and blow up the ship.
Sol employs a bounty hunter named Oberon that watches his back, guards secret bases, and kills anyone catching on to Sol and Constance earlier in the story. Oberon quit the mandolorians because they lost their honor siding with Volwen. Constance's sister is a dark side Mandolorian named Prysma who hunts Oberon for quitting. She secretly loves him and Oberon eventually gives her his iconic Mandolorian ship after a near death duel thwarted by Calixta. Prysma doesn't know she has the dark side and uses it subconsciously in conjunction with heavy weaponry like rocket launchers.
Volwen also has a masked pursuer like Maul named Volinn. He is quiet but ninja like and deadly. He betrays Valdec at the end and leaves him to die.
Every character at least kills a bunch of droids, Sith goons, bug creatures or tie fighters. This way any character can be your favorite.
Valdec and Xinix die but one of the force ghosts who kills Valdec is a comatose trooper like Xinix. He wakes after Xinix dies and remembers killing Valdec together.
Lou eventually kills the royal family who poisons his brother.
During the final battle Zaila tries to get Valdec to return to the light but he cuts down one of his own and says "There is no good in me".

I covered many archetypes like jedi, sith, smuggler, droids, pilots, troopers, bounty hunters and imperial personnel. I included young, old, Asian, Hispanic, white, black and half robot characters. Every character mirrors a classic Star Wars character or Star Wars archetype. I wanted all the dead Avengers to do the voices like Cap, Nat and RDJ but also Steve Blum, Mark Hamill and myself. I want it written by myself and directed by Genndy Tartovkovsky or Christopher Nolan. I think me and Steve Blum could put together some great dialogue.
