Hi, may i ask what kind of dock do you use what you mentioned? Also what was the exact type of the 2012 macbook with issues? Thanks
please make video on [mac mini m2 ] + Ipad {as a monitor} + [Egpu]
How good is Sonoma vs Sequoia on this device. Not sure which I should go for on my 2015 MBP. Thanks
My MacBook Pro 2012 run’s flawlessly on the latest Sonoma version, except for one thing, i can't get memojis working in the messaging app.
Hi I have the 2015 MacBook Pro. I’m trying to install the oclp but even if a fallow the first steps I can’t get past the black screen
I may have to do an updated tutorial, for Sequoia.
I upgraded my MBP 2015 a few days ago and it's working fine so far.
@@Eevnos if you can that be great. I even ordered a Ethernet adapter thinking it might needs internet but nope still did the same thing
@@Eevnos if I go back to factory it won’t even let me go one up because it says I need a firmware update but have no idea what that even means
@@djmiguelpro OK, I'll put one together.
I do know on mine, the one with the dedicated Graphics, I actually had a black screen the first time after installing to the hard drive with Sequoia.
I went back to OCLP, on another computer, clicked on 'Settings' to select the correct model of MBP and then did the 'Build and Install OpenCore' to the USB again.. then I got past the black screen.
I think, in my case, I chose the wrong model the first time. I think I may have chosen the 11,4 (which is the version with the integrated graphics) and when I re-built it I chose 11,5 (the version with the dedicated graphics).
I don't know if that's the same in your case, but may be something to try if you have access to another Mac.
@Eevnos Hi, I just upgraded my mbp mid 2015 to Sonoma. But I can't use sidecar with my iPad Pro 11" 2022. I see you can use sidecar with your iPad. How to setup it? Thank you
How is it compared to using Linux? I got one still stuck in Monetery.
hi, I own a late 2012 retina mocbook pro (8GB ram, 512 ssd). The lastest possible macos is catalina for this model. DO you know if there is OS upgrade for this model ?
hahaha, the widgets look takes me back to the horrible Windows Vista days. 1920 x 1080? My 2015 Macbook Pro has 2560 x 1200, so I guess mine is the retina model? Also, is that the 15" model?
Windows 11 runs on it smoothly. The Retina 2015 model can still run even after Apple cuts support for it.
with legacy patcher would I be able to download a current version of logic or garageband from the actual app store, or would there be a problem? thanks for the vid
I have an m3 pro but i want to use it just for editing. The daily driver will be an 2012 air 8gig of ram. Would you just update that to Ventura and call it good or would you try to pick up a 2015 with radeon and use that as the daily?
I just bought a Macbook Pro 2015, im currently using el capitan but just wondering should I upgrade to a newer MacOS and which one do you recommend?
I have a mid 2014 MacBook Pro my son gave me and I'd like to be able to download office 365, looks like the only way I can do that is to load a newer OS version. Thinking going the Sonoma route would be the answer...should I be able to download office 365 that way? Thanks!
Brightness networking how to fixed
My MBP 2014 getting so hot and a bit laggy while using Sonoma so I try to down to Ventura but it's still has the heat problem but not so much as Sonoma. I already re-paste the cpu. In idle condition the temperature about 30c to 35c, and it goes to 75c to 90c while I'm watching RUclips on browser. Now I'm back to Monterey and it's fine. I don't know what is cause the problem.
I got a used MacBook Pro m1 16/512 for 1073usd and I have no complains so far
I didn't get about resolution, why its 1200 while screen base is 1800
Hi! I was able to install sonoma but I had a problem that I could not resolve. the lighting does not dim or increase by pressing the dedicated keys on the touch bar. I run post-install patches in OpenCore Legacy Patcher after the installing . HELP....
I have a 2015 MacBook Pro. What docking station are you using?
I have issues conecting an external screen by HDMI, did you have the same issue? What can I do to solve it? Thanks in advance.
My wife has a 2015 MacBook Air, has anyone tried Ventura or Sonoma on this?
i have a 2014 macbook air with sonoma, its actually pretty good considering how cheap they are
Mine has power issues. The battery won’t charge when running under any load.
Will it work with only 8gm ram?
My memoji crash and freeze my system setting when i edit/ create on my macbook pro 2015 ventura/somona
Hello, thank you for those videos, I think im the only for who it's not working after erasing the main hard disk I try to install sonoma or Ventura and during the install it's stop and I have the image of a file with an "?" and nothing more... tried many times but not working.. if you have an idea ;) thank you
I had that problem, about a year ago, and it ended up being a corrupted installer.
I would make sure you have the latest version of OCLP and try making the install media again.
thank you for your advice, I'll try that tomorrow! 🙏🤞@@Eevnos
@@Jo-mm3vo Sounds good, let me know how it goes!
I've installed Sonoma on my Macbook Pro 2015 15inch 2.8Ghz, spoofed the system info using your tips. Everything work except 1 strange thing. Suddenly, after a period of normal behavior Viber is unusable, cant see text fonts at all, only images. Tried with Viber reinstall, resetting fonts, but the issues remain. Text is visible in safe mode though. Ideas?
I have a early 2015 MacBook Pro 13-inch with i5 processor and 8gb ram running MacOS Monterey
How much of a decrease in performance can I except because I use it as my primary device ?
How do you get past remote management
My mbp11,3 updates to sonoma via oclp and then stops during boot..
Would it be good to use for trading in 2024 if you looking to start slow and with something cheaper I’m so used to a Mac
And then I would just be using my it for regular things every other day probably someone’s selling one for $250 with great battery life and a lot of other apps on it
Is this MacBook good enough for entry level coding and programming?
I have a mid 2012 MBP with a 2TB SanDisk SSD, 13” 16GB RAM with the i7 and it’s FAST! One of the best Apple ever made, swappable storage AND RAM, and it runs Sonoma like a CHAMP! I also have a late 2012 MBP Retina with the same i7 and Intel 400 graphics as the other one, but with the stock 500GB SSD and the soldered on 8GB of RAM. Been using the retina as a pilot for installing Windows 11, though I’ve been getting TONS of blue screens and trouble after installing the post Windows install Bootcamp EXE, trying to pin that issue down before I try the same process on the mid 2012 BEAST 😎👍🏻 errors vary between kernel security check failure and wdf_violation. Same result after first Bootcamp install as well as running the Bootcamp EXE after a complete reinstall through recovery options post blue screens when they occur. Ive even tried different versions of the post windows Bootcamp exe and same results
Can you play purchased movies in the TV app?.. I bet not...deal breaker...staying on Monterey
The biggest issue with my 2015 15 macbook pro on sonoma was the battery drain while on sleep.
What version of OCLP are you using?
I haven’t really noticed any issue with that.
@@Eevnos I cannot remember, but that was aprox. two months ago when sonoma has just been released. Maybe they fixed it nowdays.
@@alamar1205 Oh gotcha, yeah it could be. There have been a few Sonoma and Opencore versions in the last few months, I'm guessing maybe it was fixed since I've not seen that issue.
I have a similar issue: not really a battery drain, but the fans start running high every time the display goes to sleep. Whether I have a screen saver active or not, it does the same thing. I wasn't able to find out any process in activity monitor that determined the issue. I'm using Turbo Boost Switcher Pro (with turbo set to 'off') because I can't stand the noise from the fans, maybe I could disable it and check...
@@m2mya same on me macbook pro 2011 13" the only one issue is the fan sometimes spin so fast 😅
What is your configuration? i5 or i7? 8GB or 16GB? I have a 2105 MBP i5 with 8GB. Wish it was 16GB.
There are no macbook pro 15 2015 another cpu than i7 and ram 16gb
macbook pro 2011 13" core i5 16gb ram 128 SSD,run no problem at all but sometimes the fan run so fast
Could it be good on Pro 13 2015 (i7, 3.1 GHz, 16 RAM)?
Yep, should be good
@@Eevnos which middle temperature in browsing is good for Pro 2015 i7? On Sonoma I have some shortly warming up to 80-105 degree, I am little worry about that
How is the battery life?
but doesn’t it take much storage while updating?
People saying buying these laptops is good to buy in 2024 are misleading you. I have one, they're great but not worth buying used when you can get a used m1 mini so cheap and the technology is light years ahead. I'm a pro designer and use one to run my business, run anything I throw at it. Don't waste your money.
as a student, i think they work great for something fairly cheap and high quality to use for school
I have a desktop PC with Windows 11 core i7 Please explain How tonstall macOS Seqouia on,12th, generation systems | OpenCore Please, if possible, thank you
Anyone try 2015 macbook air 11inch, i7 8gb ram on sonoma yet??😢
Just bought one for $270. If I remember, I’ll post an update here.
Update your experience sir
@@gedediva Still works, still use it just about every day. It was worth the $270, if you ask me. I don’t think I’d pay more than $300 for it, though.
It works way better than most other laptops/computers that $270 could probably get you elsewhere, if I’m being real.
What are your MacBook specs?
Does photoshop work on the 2015 MacBook with this sonamo
