    my 5yr old little one and I watch this collab together she wants to "color for Disney" when she grows up. At first she was in a panic thinking Snow Bear was going to eat the bunny but once she saw how happy he was she decided it was ok. I'm supposed to tell you though that "Mr Fuzzy Snow needs a snack so he doesn't change his mind because then he has to go to time out for 16 hours if he eats the bunny."

  • @JohnAJohnson
    @JohnAJohnson Год назад +91

    Aaron you managed to do exactly what James had intended. I think it really helps with the composition. A massive looming simple character drawing the eye to the center and still leaving space at the bottom for the eye to rest. You're one of my favorite art channels. I'm so glad this unexpectedly made it to you as well ;)

  • @thevires
    @thevires Год назад +63

    I think the hands are a big problem for the lower part of this piece.. nobody wants to use this space, because the hands are kinda separating it from the rest. I think the target for the next Collab should be, to make one cohesive artwork. Right now there are several independent pieces on one canvas.

    • @JohnAJohnson
      @JohnAJohnson Год назад +9

      I think so too..but I also kinda of want someone to paint the Magician to go with the hands, with an extension of the top canvas for the story of the hands to be a bit more useful to the piece as a whole.

    • @RhomanysRealm
      @RhomanysRealm Год назад +6

      Marco is something of a specialist in hands. If anyone can sort that bottom section out it's going to be him. He's a great choice to bring it all together.

    • @madbax
      @madbax Год назад +4

      The hands are a cool element but yeah, nobody has enough space to do something at the bottom. Maybe for season 3 it would be helpful to define general composition lines

    • @akiahara
      @akiahara Год назад +3

      I actually think someone could come around and extend the top of the canvas to work the hands in rather easily... assuming they have the equipment like Aaron does. I think the hands worked better before the last guy put a bunch of white smears all over them.

    This whole collaboration has become a performance art piece, where the audience gets to see the process and appreciate each part as well as the end (which sometimes isn’t as great as the process itself, when it comes to performance art)… this takes me back to how art school made us appreciate every decision and critically think about the process too

Adding the cutout was genius. It gives more artists a chance to add to this in the spaces you chose not to paint in. Dear Sir
    Thank you so much for demonstrating some creative thinking on extending the canvas. It worked so well for the other simultaneous collab where they added panels to create a multi-dimensional art piece. Space should never have been a setback on this collab and I am delighted that you made Snow Bear this way. You have definitely gained a new subscriber from South Africa. Thank you Sir.

    I love this so much!!!
    The theme of inspiration, all types of art springing from those hands is furthered beautifully by your addition of a sweet figure rendered in a classic American animation style. It really brings the idea that graffiti and hyper-realism and classic animation and fantasy and whatever the heck Ten Hundred's style would be called are all different expressions of the same need, the same desire to communicate.
    Thanks for sharing your process and talent.
    Excited to see Snow Bear.

    I have been waiting to see this addition - turned out great! I think it adds a really interesting 3D element that also provides a contrast to the intricacy within the frame. I look forward to seeing the completed animation for Snow Bear. Thanks for an awesome video and the opportunity to discover your work.

    Aaron, you're my favourite as I was always into animation and been a fan for years. I just started watching Marco's stuff a while ago so this video completely shocked me. So happy this made it's way to you both! Genuinely jealous of whoever gets to keep this! 💫

    Just when I think I couldn’t possibly be more amazed with this collab, along comes an artist of your stature to prove I was beary wrong. 😂 kidding aside, your out of the box addition is absolutely perfect! Loved it, love your art, subscribed to your channel and am keenly intrigued by the art & animation lessons you offer…. I’ll be looking into those in more depth soon!

    It‘s so incredible! You drew the same character I think four times and he looks the exact same each time ❤ Such a good eye for proportion and placement. I would have only drawn it once and then traced it, haha. So happy so many talented artists are part of this and especially the once who have done this for such a long time. I‘m in awe

    I love cartoons and am inspired by them every bit as much as I am by rendered illustrations. 😍 (Maybe even more-so, since I find cartooning difficult and thusly am awed by the skill involved.) Thank you for this great video and contribution, and for showing us a sneak peak of your 10 minute animation! 😁
