Bravo pour votre travail c est propre mais moi quand je faisais ce genre de réparations je m'étais une platine de renfort qui chevauchai les 2 soudures pour consolider les ensembles surtout sur le haut du col de signe car c est la qui est tout l effort mais bravo pour votre travail surtout dans ses conditions 👍👍👍🤣

Sehr schlechte Arbeit. Die Reparatur Bleche hätten zweiteilig sein müssen damit sie mit den Verstärkungsstreben innerhalb des Auslegers verschweißt hätten können. So wie die Arbeit ausgeführt wurde ist sie mangelhaft, weil die verwindungssteifigkeit nicht mehr gegeben ist

It look like your welds might have failed as it looks like it cracked along the same lines. You could watch I C Weld as he does the same kind of repairs and has many years of experience.
I agree, there is not enough heat penetration in those seam welds. It’s just going to fracture at the same point. I would have preheated the hell out of all that material and not even tried to weld that gauge plate without gases.

Many of these booms are made out of special hardened steel. You can't easily weld or patch them with just any old piece from an old oil tanker. Many also have large stickers saying "Do not drill, grind, weld, or cut". And they mean it.
Also for that thick a material you need thicker welding rods and more amps and with the rod closer to the material to get deeper penetration. Their welds look awfully superficial.
I predict it's going to crack in the same place within 3 months.

That's just wrong, how would they heat treat and quench an entire excavator boom????
It's sometimes alloyed manganese steel, that requires a bit care, when welding, but not too different from ship steel.

This will fail badly, I hope no one gets hurt when it does. The reason it failed the first time is the same reason it will fail again, trying to lift more than the machine is rated for.

Kann mir bitte vielleicht jemand mal auf Deutch ( ich kann nur deutsch) was das für Leute sind die sich ei den Arbeitern einfach immer so Versammeln.
Die stehen dann den Arbeitern im weg herum und keiner von denen geht auch nur einen Millimeter zur seite.
Da kommen welche mit dem Motorrad vorbei steigen ab um dann zu schauen was die arbeite machen, Ist das dort normal das sich Leute versammeln und den Arbeitern einfach zu zuschauen?
