  • Ulnar Nerve Glide
Sit with tall posture and lift the affected arm out to your side at shoulder height with your elbow extended, palm up, and fingers making an OK sign. From this position, slowly start to bend your elbow and rotate your hand backward so your finger tips are facing toward your head. Continue moving your pinky finger toward your ear until you feel tension in your elbow and/or pinky finger, then slowly return to starting position.
This movement should be slow and continuous. Do not hold in position of tension as this will irritate the nerve.

There are many ways to do nerve glides, this is the way we start at Hope Physical Therapy and Aquatics. Modifications can be made in clinic, under the direction of our Therapists. These videos are for informational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose underlying conditions. If you are in pain, please see a healthcare professional, because you can do harm if you push through pain. We also are not able to dose specific exercises through social media platforms. Please find a highly rated clinic near you for further assistance.
