      I would mention it to your doctor, though if you are not having nerve pain, it might be more of an epicondylitis. If there is any way you can go see a physical therapist, even if it's just for an evaluation, they should be able to easily help you figure it out.

    • @AskDoctorJo
      @AskDoctorJo  4 года назад

      That is what I mean, but it's not always as severe as what you had before. It can happen from many things, repetitive movements, pressure on the area to irritate it, etc. It doesn't necessarily have to be from throwing. Might be worth trying some of those stretches. I have a few for it if you want to check them out on my channel: ruclips.net/user/askdoctorjo

      Dr Joe i've been having pain in my left elbow
      since September. I do hold m y cell for for long periods of time with my arm bent. I also work at a computer during the day and tend to lean on my arm of the desk chair and the desk on the side my elbow hurts. In the past month I've been having some numbness and tingling during the night when I'm sleeping.
      I've been to my orthopedic doctor and he took crats and said I don't have any arthritis in my elbow.
      Went to a physical therapist this week and when she did an evaluation on me said I had no symptoms when she twisted my hand and elbow so she couldn't treat me.
      I'm frustrated because it hurts and I do have some numbness and tingling at times. Can you give me your opinion?
      I just don't know what step to take next.

    • @AskDoctorJo
      @AskDoctorJo  4 года назад

      Is there any way you can go see a different physical therapist? Doesn't sound like it was a good evaluation if she simply said she can't treat you because you didn't have pain with one test. Sorry that was your experience with PT. That's not how it should be.

    • @kathyatkinson4844
      @kathyatkinson4844 4 года назад

      That is what I was considering doing. She was so rude and even questioned my level of pain when I was asked in a scale of 1 to 10. She said that when she did her evaluation i had no indication of pain but i circled it about a 4. I thought she was rude and I left there upset.

    Happy that I found this video. I was under serious pain in my entire forearm. I couldn't even type for 15 minutes at a stretch. I did these exercises for about 10 days with the B12 vitamin tablets, which was prescribed by the orthopedic surgeon whom I consulted but surprisingly he did not suggest any exercises. I am now almost 90% ok. One more thing, use splints at night while sleeping to keep your arm as straight as possible to help in recovery.

    I just wanted to say for the past 2 days I’ve had the half numb but really achey sore pain down my arm from the elbow into the wrist and outer two fingers. In a desperate attempt to get relief I searched RUclips and found your video! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I followed along with your exorcises and could feel it working the nerve, went carefully but also ensured to push a little. My fingers were twitching while I was doing it, so I know it was definitely the nerve that was pinched. I had a little relief immediately after. BUT it’s been a couple hours and the pain and numbness is almost gone 100% Wow! So grateful I found this ❤️ sorry for such a long comment lol

    Yesterday I found this video and the exercises have already made a small difference. Im not rushing it - I know it will be slow because of your warnings not to irritate it more. I’m just ecstatic it already released some pain. I’m sure if I do the 10 reps daily and stay off that nerve, it will help.
    I much prefer your videos to others out there so I subscribed and donated a small amount because I am a hot mess and need a ton of your videos. I’m disabled and my nerves seem to be freaking out and causing all kinds of havoc.

    I needed to add another comment. I've been doing these exercises for cubital tunnel now for a little over 2 weeks now. Before I started doing the exercises I couldn't sleep through the night. I would wake up three or four times in pretty severe pain. I am now sleeping through the entire night without waking up with pain. These exercises have been amazing. Thanks again for sharing these exercises. I'm also going to see a neurologist to make sure there's no permanent damage.

    Hey thanks for the exercises it kind of helped me also just resting my neck and not straining it helped my symptoms get better I started having it in both my arms since yesterday after doing some quick pushups this is not the first time its happened but I used to think it was anxiety which would make me go into panic mode but now I know theres a term for this. Btw could it be something to do with my neck im always straining it and putting pressure on it without even noticing also have my lower back in pain sometimes I just got some xrays done and they didnt find anything on my upperback so now just waiting for the lowerback results.

    This instructional Vid was very helpful, I'm a semi-professional guitar player and for the past few months, I have had pins and needles in my ring finger of my fretting hand, which makes playing really uncomfortable. (I thought it must be linked to some sort of repetitive strain injury). Although in present tense It has not yet been professionally diagnosed as Cubital tunnel syndrome..(I'm planning to see my physio) I did do a few of your recommended stretches and I immediately felt relief in my finger. Thanks so much!

    0 - preamble: l saw my doctor two years ago. He recommended physical therapy. I did it but it was not successful. I started rolling a tennis ball on my forearm. Yielded good improvement. Two weeks ago, the discomfort came back, then I to you, for some reason I choose. And decided to follow your exercises.
    Day 1 - 4/28/2020. Sleeping at night was better with pain and discomfort cut by a half.
    Day 2 - 4/29/2020. No pain or discomfort. The only thing I added was sleeping on my back to keep the arm stable.
    Day 3 - Keep improveming over the previous day. Added neck massage.
    Day 4 - still improving and not planning on stopping!
