I would mention it to your doctor, though if you are not having nerve pain, it might be more of an epicondylitis. If there is any way you can go see a physical therapist, even if it's just for an evaluation, they should be able to easily help you figure it out.
That is what I mean, but it's not always as severe as what you had before. It can happen from many things, repetitive movements, pressure on the area to irritate it, etc. It doesn't necessarily have to be from throwing. Might be worth trying some of those stretches. I have a few for it if you want to check them out on my channel: ruclips.net/user/askdoctorjo
Dr Joe i've been having pain in my left elbow
since September. I do hold m y cell for for long periods of time with my arm bent. I also work at a computer during the day and tend to lean on my arm of the desk chair and the desk on the side my elbow hurts. In the past month I've been having some numbness and tingling during the night when I'm sleeping.
I've been to my orthopedic doctor and he took crats and said I don't have any arthritis in my elbow.
Went to a physical therapist this week and when she did an evaluation on me said I had no symptoms when she twisted my hand and elbow so she couldn't treat me.
I'm frustrated because it hurts and I do have some numbness and tingling at times. Can you give me your opinion?
I just don't know what step to take next.
Is there any way you can go see a different physical therapist? Doesn't sound like it was a good evaluation if she simply said she can't treat you because you didn't have pain with one test. Sorry that was your experience with PT. That's not how it should be.
That is what I was considering doing. She was so rude and even questioned my level of pain when I was asked in a scale of 1 to 10. She said that when she did her evaluation i had no indication of pain but i circled it about a 4. I thought she was rude and I left there upset.
I needed to add another comment. I've been doing these exercises for cubital tunnel now for a little over 2 weeks now. Before I started doing the exercises I couldn't sleep through the night. I would wake up three or four times in pretty severe pain. I am now sleeping through the entire night without waking up with pain. These exercises have been amazing. Thanks again for sharing these exercises. I'm also going to see a neurologist to make sure there's no permanent damage.
You're welcome. Glad they are helping.
Happy that I found this video. I was under serious pain in my entire forearm. I couldn't even type for 15 minutes at a stretch. I did these exercises for about 10 days with the B12 vitamin tablets, which was prescribed by the orthopedic surgeon whom I consulted but surprisingly he did not suggest any exercises. I am now almost 90% ok. One more thing, use splints at night while sleeping to keep your arm as straight as possible to help in recovery.
Did you do ten of each?
Can u tel me f how many times u take v. B12?
@@rogeliolaput706 I took it for three months
@@israeljuarez3208 yes... 10 times and couple of times in the day. As I said use splints at night or whenever possible in the day

I've had carpal tunnel and tennis elbow for 23 years. I quit the job that created it, however any work performed with my hands "flares" it up. Surgery is not an option personally, it has been recommended many times. Your stretches along with a natural anti-inflammatory supplement regime are providing relief. I just wanted to thank you for your video. I appreciate it much.
You’re welcome.
what is the name of natural anti-inflammatoty supplement

I just wanted to say for the past 2 days I’ve had the half numb but really achey sore pain down my arm from the elbow into the wrist and outer two fingers. In a desperate attempt to get relief I searched RUclips and found your video! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I followed along with your exorcises and could feel it working the nerve, went carefully but also ensured to push a little. My fingers were twitching while I was doing it, so I know it was definitely the nerve that was pinched. I had a little relief immediately after. BUT it’s been a couple hours and the pain and numbness is almost gone 100% Wow! So grateful I found this ❤️ sorry for such a long comment lol
You're welcome! I'm glad it helped.
Hope your doing well!! How u feel after 3 years from now ??
I'm happy I found you. Along with your warm caring demeanor and personality, you explain everything well.
Thanks :-)
I've been having numbness in my pinky and ringfinger. Today I was biking a whole lot and started feeling pain in my elbow. Did these stretches and it feels a LOT better now
Glad they helped.
I thought cycling actually makes it better

WTF! Two doctor Jo vids already helped me! Physical therapy is such a great profession. Simple exercises but with magical relief effects.
@@yukimodz9127 Almost 70% (subjective) of my cubital tunnel has been relieved altho I still consulted a PT. My scoliosis (lower right shoulder) was also contributing to my cubital tunnel syndrome. They made me do shoulder and forearm exercises (some that are pretty similar with Doctor Jo's exercises so just keep on going)
Oh my God this video has literally saved my life . I've been excruciating pain with both my elbows for over a month .I can't do anything with the pain and nothing has helped . Just came across this video and after 1 exercise I could already feel the difference. Thank you so much. Your videos are always so great and simple but so effective
You're welcome, and thanks. Glad they are helping.
This relieved the tingling and pressure in my arms almost immediately!
Glad it helped!
Clear, helpful, and encouraging! Thanks so much!!🤩🤩🥳

My wrist felt like it was on fire the last two days. I was about to call it and go in and see the doc (and pay lots of money for it, ugh).
Watched this video, and no joke, my wrist pain is nearly gone. I didn't think it was possible...it's like freaking magic. I was so skeptical. But it worked. I've been doing these exercises for just two days, and it's taken my pain levels down SIGNIFICANTLY.
I'm shook...
Thank you so much!!! You're amazing!
You're welcome, and thanks! Glad it helped.
Hi did you do everything at once?
@@onlyIDOL I didn't, some exercises were too painful at first. I only did the first two and the last one. Over the past few days, I'm now able to do all of them except one or two exercises.
Dr.Jo, you just saved my life. My elbow has been killing me!!!
I lean on my elbows a lot (I won't now, but still) and started getting... not PAIN, but slight numbness and like the nerve is really sensitive, so I'm really glad I found this video. I'm definitely going to stop leaning on my elbows, and use this video of yours to hopefully make the slight numbness go away before anything gets any worse. I really don't want to have to go to a doctor for this, and I DEFINITELY don't want to have to have a SURGERY.
Is your nerve still feeling the same way, I also feel that my nerve is sensitive and I wanna know if these exercises helped you
@@playbackz2440 It in fact is feeling better! I don't 100% know what happened but my guess is it was the Nerve equivalent of a bruise or a strain.
Can't say for sure if the glides actually contributed to that seeing as I never did go to a doctor about it, but they certainly didn't make anything worse!
Have the same slight numbness and im having anxiety likes its gonna get worse😬. Its been 2 weeks now, and ive changed the way i work on the computer by not leaning on the armrest of my chair. And doing these exercise everyday. Hope it goes away 😭 (pain is not that sever tho but i miss the way i feel with my pinky finger!!)
@@jacobgolez9117how are you feeling now?
I did this and it absolutely helped. I used medicine and cream but it did nothing. This totally fixed the issue, and I just wanted to come back and comment about it. I can’t thank this Dr. enough.

Had a mild case and it's much better within 4 days with these exercises. Thanks Dr. Jo!
You're welcome!
I’ve just found your video after being told by my Dr I’ll probably need surgery for a trapped Unlar nerve. I’ve just done some of your exercises & it’s instantly relieved the numbness & tingling I’ve been having. I’ll keep doing them & hopefully I won’t need that operation.
Thank you so much
You're welcome. I hope they continue to help.
Did you need the operation?
@ no I didn’t need surgery. Doing these stretches helped massively. I still get occasional discomfort, but I just do a few quick stretches to ease it
@@ourvan.ourway that’s amazing! Ok great - gives me hope
I was experiencing pins and needles on my left pinky for about 8 days or so, but after doing these exercises ONCE, the pins and needles sensation stopped within seconds of completing them. I can't describe how incredulous-and relieved-I am that I got relief as quickly as I did. I'm going to continue doing the exercises on a daily basis for prevention, but trust me when I tell you that these exercises work. Thank you, Dr Jo, for saving me from having to seek medical advice. Not only did you save me time, but you also saved me money as well as gave me piece of mind because with COVID19 lurking around the corner, I was avoiding having to go to my doctor. I can't thank you enough.

Yes, I've been hearing that a few weeks to a month is common to see complete relief in symptoms, so I'm going to come back in a month and see how things are going after doing these exercises.

Yesterday I found this video and the exercises have already made a small difference. Im not rushing it - I know it will be slow because of your warnings not to irritate it more. I’m just ecstatic it already released some pain. I’m sure if I do the 10 reps daily and stay off that nerve, it will help.
I much prefer your videos to others out there so I subscribed and donated a small amount because I am a hot mess and need a ton of your videos. I’m disabled and my nerves seem to be freaking out and causing all kinds of havoc.

This actually worked I been dealing with this issue for 2 years
Wow! You are amazing Dr. Jo. Thanks a ton, I can feel the pain subsiding by practising all that you just demonstrated. You are best 😊!!! Thank you thank you again 🙏
One piece of information I wish to share that can benefit people out there - prolonged use of mobile phone with elbow in bent position used to aggravate the pain. So now you know what to do - stay away from mobile phones for long duration or try using mobile stand instead of holding mobile.
Stay healthy!!! Stay happy, fit and fine 😊 Cheers!
Thanks, and you’re welcome!
It took me 36 seconds to like this wonderful lady, thank you for the info!!
Thanks, and you're welcome!
Wow! I'm feeling immediate improvement! I'll be keeping these up. Thanks Dr. Jo.
You're welcome!
I just wanted to thank you. I've had tennis elbow, golfers elbow and biceps tendonitis before, your videos have always helped me get back into the gym after a couple weeks. Now I'm sitting here with cubital tunnel syndrome, but I'm confident I can get it fixed with these exercises. So thanks, I really appreciate you
You're welcome.
mine is incredibly mild and i probably dont need to see a doctor but im still worried i woke up with pretty bad tingles and it has been a lil off ever since. I got very slight numbness when i bend my elbow and very little tingles. The numbness is almost not noticable so ill give it alot of rest and see if i recover. i have also been sleeping in ways to keep that arm as straight as possible. i have no pain either and ive had it for about 3 days
@@stagnantwater3775 you will recover, at least I did :) takes time tho
@@pandakuchen2299 whenever my bend my elbow in a way a jolt is sent through my pinky finger and it looks like it bolts back when i do it on my elbow i hope it fixes
@@stagnantwater3775 Sounds rough.. good luck healing
I just started doing this the other day and I'm already feeling some relief. Thank you ♥
You're welcome.
I'm 26 year old female. I've been feeling the intense tingling in my elbow to my pink finer and ring finger for 2-3 days now. I guess I slept wrong or have been leaning on my elbows a lot. Thanks so much for this video.
You're welcome.
did the numbness go away?
My arm has been hurtin the past three weeks, doctor thought it was a back or shoulder pinched nerve and suggested pushup motion and neck stretches.. but looking into it myself I figured this was my problem. I tried your exercises and they're helping, only two days.. but any relief is much appreciated, have a toddler to keep up with. Thank you
You're welcome.
Thank you. This helped relieve some of the pain. I will be doing these more often.
You’re welcome.
Beautiful lady, explains everything very well.
Your socks are RAD!! Thx for these exercises !! This is very nice to have this accessible!! I go in on the 28th of sept. For an EMG. I just want this pain to go away!! The numbness and tingling is quite annoying!!
Thanks, and you're welcome! Good luck.
I have had numbness in my fingers and extremely painful tension migraines. Tried these but honestly it feels even more numb and tingly... guess I gotta see my physician.
thanks for the vid Doc!
You're welcome.
I've been having some tingling & slight pain in my elbow, possibly due to cellphone use & cake making/decorating, I'm an amateur baker. Thanks to you, my elbow feels better already 🙏🏼
You’re welcome. Glad it's helping.
So glad I have a diagnosis the exercises have finally eased the numbness in my pinky on my left hand , I visited the doctor and they couldn't figure out what I was talking about , I slept with my left arm behind my back. I was wondering if it was to do with my spinal stenosis but your vlog made more sense to me. Thanks again I have been very worried I was going to lose all sensation in the pinky.
You're welcome.
