    I've had wrist pain for about a year now. Asked my primary physician how to treat it and all he could say is "be sure to stretch before and after working out" which wasn't even the root of my problem. This 12 minute video gave me instant relief like I haven't felt in a very long time. God bless you and thanks for making such valuable knowledge free to the public!

    Tnak you SOOOO much for these exercises. The back of my wrist was in so much pain i could barely lift a spoon. It got even worse the next day and I had no idea what was wrong with my hand. I googled possibilities and got information that the condition may last for 6 months to 2 years. I decided to watch your video and completed the exercises and kid you not. I started gaining strength right after. The very next day my wrist was back to normal. I am so grateful to u. I also did ur exercised for frozen shoulder about 3 weeks ago when I could barely lift my arm up while shaking so bad and hurting. After your exercises the 2nd day was much better and the 3rd day I was almost 100% back to normal. Simply amazing.

I did this for nearly a week, every day- once, and I can already bend my wrist again, feeling no pain and without taking any medication! Thank you so much ♡ and if anyone tries this, go slow with your wrist and with the exercises, as your muscles get stronger and your wrist feels better you'll have more range of motion and do these faster :)

    Instant relief!!! How long generally until the pain is eliminated? Rest, ice...anti-inflammatory meds as well?

    • @vadesnow3675
      @vadesnow3675 3 года назад +6

      Anti-inflammatory meds only cure the symptom (pain). They do not assist in healing, and honestly are actually even detrimental to your healing. Firstly you’re masking the pain and don’t really know the progress happening in your problem, plus you don’t know what activities you’re doing which are effecting your tendon in a negative way because you can’t feel the pain, your body has no way of telling you somethings wrong. So you end up damaging the tendon even more. And lastly, inflammation is the body response to bring blood flow to the area which helps with healing, taking it away takes healing even longer, especially with an area like a tendon which has little blood supply to begin with. Also those meds aren’t good for your stomach either.

    Man, this is so helpful. I injured myself from working out 4 months ago and the pain lasted quite a while. Even after heating it with a hot water pack throughout that time, the recovery process was very gradual and slow.
    These exercises really help with relieving the stress, especially once you start adding more weight and getting comfortable with it

    • @AskDoctorJo
      @AskDoctorJo  6 лет назад +1

      You can do them 2-3 times a day. For the exercises, I would just start off with 10 reps, and slowly build up from there if they don't increase pain. Good luck.

      You should be evaluated by your doctor or get a referral to a physical therapist who can evaluate you personally. There are tons of different reasons why someone could have wrist pain and Dr. Jo is just giving general examples of things people can do to help alleviate their symptoms.

      @thelionwantstoroar 3 года назад +1

      @@melodyj2049 To be honest with you I did not follow the exercises shown in this video because it was hurting even more that way. All what I did is that I ate a lot of bone marrows with its soup every alternate day after one of my aunts suggested me. Also I used wrists bands to keep my wrists steady to not to get hurt especially when I am asleep. And I was using my hands very delicately when needed like having water, food, etc. You may also follow the same steps which may help you recover faster. One small advice - Don't do any stretching exercises at all! It will worsen the condition. May you recover faster! Good luck!!

    I draw regularly and I've been having chronical wrist pain for some time now, x rays done a few years ago showed nothing and my doctor just said to draw less :C I found this today, and my wrist does feel better, but when going up and down; 9.00 in the video, it makes a funny sound when it reaches the top every time, it got me worried cause i don't know what it is, not really a pop, it doesn't really hurt, but it makes me uncomfortable. Thank you in advanced!

    • @AskDoctorJo
      @AskDoctorJo  6 лет назад

      You're welcome! It could be a number of things, but if it's not painful, it's probably nothing to be worried about. I would try not going to the point of the sound, so try to stop right before it when going up. Good luck.

    I want to say thanks. Sincere thank you for this help. I've had acute tendonitis for nearly two years from a repetitive work injury. At times i could hardly pour a cup of tea my grip was so weakened. Even tiny tasks like washing hands and handling the remote were excruciating. Driving? Pain. It came and went and i never knew what might trigger a complete agonizing relapse. After investigating i came across this video and in three days i am at least 95% better. Still a little sore and tenderness, but nowhere near the pain i had four days ago. Incredible. It is demoralizing to live through this type of pain and not knowing if it will ever go away. Now i have optimism that the end of this ordeal is near. Not out of the woods yet, but what a turnaround. Maybe someone in a similar situation will find this and rebound as i have. Can't thank you enough. This works. Do it. Never give up.
