Really feeling the emotion on this one. Will found his 405 which was 225 if or 496. People wonder why we compete in sports. Its about the journey, improvement and having fun. Its not even about winning as when you give it your best you already are a winner.
Tren twins entered a power lifting meet out of nowhere and almost set a world record. One of them moved the weight but was disqualified for going to heavy and not completing one of the lifts because they didn't know wtf they were doing but are obviously strong as hell.
Shoutout to whoever edited this. That quick match-cut to him alone in the training gym bailing on the squat and back to the competition was not only a dope-looking effect, but excellent storytelling.
Never get tired of watching Will crush his personal goals. We’re all here for it man, that squat was honestly impressive as shit, and to see you take a step back and break down was humbling to say the least. Keep killing it.
That edit with you overcoming the failure with the squat and then reverting back to killing it. That was great, every PR will always be beautiful to one's self.
Thanks Wyeth! It was Will’s idea to show the old lift fail at some point, and I thought the rapid match cuts with the flutter sfx was a nice touch. Sincerely, Editor
I cried watching will cry because i have never seen him cry ever, he is that fun goofy guy everybody loves but seeing him cry after he got that squat up, i feel so proud and hurt at the same time. Congratulations Will.
Watching him cry made me almost. I was diagnosed with MS April 2023 after my left arm and left leg went numb and “clumsy.” I couldn’t even military press a 25 lb dumbbells without my left arm flailing. I kept going to the weight room despite having to lower the weights. As I kept doing it, one day the flailing was no longer present. Eventually I hit PRs even! I remember after finally being able to bench press a plate on each side again for the first time months, I cried on that bench. I laughed and cried and smiled. My spotter thought I was just wiping sweat off my eyes but I was crying tears of joy. This video reminded me of that moment.
yo that's impressive! glad you kept at your training when all the chips were down and you effectively had to restart. the fact you kept showing up makes you more determined than most. and to actually progress back up like that? wow!
The scene at 4:58 was a literal tear jerker. No better feeling than knowing all that hard work and training was worth it. And to hear that crowd cheer on top, man. So proud of you Will. Let’s all make the boys we were, so proud of the men we are now
That emotion after PR is intense. When I finished my first marathon I needed a minute alone too. Doing more than you’ve ever done, pushing past what you thought was the limit. Major props for showing how deep and real that experience is.
I’m not a cryer but I started tearing up when he hit that squat PR. Such an awesome moment. I’ve been feeling sucky about my progress in the gym this past week but this just inspired me to keep pushing as hard as I can but not be too hard on myself.
I took a 2 week break and benched 320 when i couldn't break 295. Squatted 405 when i couldn't break 365, deadlifted 425 when i couldn't break over 385. I knew rest was important, but this made me aware of fatigue. Iver been working out for 2.5 years non stop struggling to lose weight and get strong. Lost 84 pounds and raised my lifts from 95 bench and 125 squat in my journey. I wish the best to all that are still amid their journey, you got this bud. Most of the time you have to be your own coach and cheerleader, so leave out the ego and most importantly, the self doubt outside the door, and you'll become the person you always wanted to be.
I'm currently on a two week break because of injury. You just gave me hope. I could tell my body was starting to break down and it did...slowly rebuilding

That third bench was really impressive. For those who don't know - in the USAPL (and I think most PL federations) it's not a set amount of time that the bar needs to be on the chest before the "press" command. Instead, the bar needs to be motionless on the chest before the head ref gives the command. I felt her command timing was very honest. Most lifters lose composure waiting under the bar that long but you didn't. That lift was well-earned, congrats.
I didnt know that it needed to be motionless but I did notice that he kind of bouncing it a bit while "pausing", probably subconsciously trying to get some stretch reflex out of the hole

Editor Josh, thank you for producing this masterpiece. The editing throughout this entire video is just immaculate!!! Congrats Will for placing 1st on your 1st meet, very inspiring. Happy to know you're proud of yourself, that's very important 🙌🏻
Agreed. It is one thing to document an event, it is another to convey the emotion to the audience. The editing really brought us on the journey with Will.
It's so good to see you push through. Really fires me up. Thanks man. I fear failure, but your performance here and your words are pushing me to fear not putting it all out there.
I understand Wills emotions hitting that squat completely. I hit 225 on bench last week finally. I chased it in high school but gave up on myself before I ever got there. 10 years later I got it clean and I felt that same rush of emotions. Chasing goals is a powerful thing when you reach them. Proud of you Will! Keep up the great work man.
"Don't limit your challenges, challenge you limits." Great advice Will. Congratulation for the awesome lifts, breaking your PRs and winning the gold. 🙂

I legit almost cried watching this. I've been following you waaaay before you blew up on YT, when your subscriber count was private, when you use to post videos with Ollie... You've become one of the most respected fitness influencers in YT, and the world. You rock dude. Insane seeing all the progress you've made these years, and I'm happy that I got to watch all of it. God bless!
That was inspiring, genuine, and probably the best content video I’ve seen from Will. I got emotional see his success. Thanks for posting this man and being an encouragement to so many people you don’t personally know.
Man, I know it's dumb but this made me well up and cry a bit, I'm really proud of you. Random dude on the internet i know, but it really hit hard, I knew you had it in you! I know exactly why you thought of Ollie. They look at us like we are their own personal super heroes, and you proved him right for feeling that way today, that little guy would be so proud of you, good job Will
I felt the emotion and shed some tears as well. I think any long-time viewer/fan of Will's can't help but to feel a rush of emotions with videos that capture his authenticity on a whole new level. Sending good vibes your way from a fellow Will tribe member. 👊🏾
396 likes and counting... this is literally the current generation of men, crying over watching a guy on RUclips cry because he hit a squat PR. Soft af.
I took a break from lifting and fitness channels for a few months. I come back and I see your video with not just sick new editing and transitions, but also you winning your first meet! So proud of you, man.
Powerlifting meets are one of the most special experiences in the world. Everyone's nice to you, everyone's cheering for you, and it makes you feel really good. You have some of the highest highs and lowest lows there, but at the end of the day you walk away with a smile, PRs, chalk-covered clothes, three empty cans of energy drinks, and a LOT of candy wrappers. Cheers on a phenomenal meet, Will!
I watched this before leaving to attend hip hop classes. It's something I wanted to do for almost 15 years but I just kept telling myself I couldn't. To see you show up for your younger self in this profound way really helped me realize the win is just getting yourself in the room. A true declaration of self growth, belief, and a hunger for feeling connecting within. Thank you so much for sharing! I hope more people can get themselves in the rooms of discomfort.
I love this guy. This video made me cry. I know what it’s like to be harder on myself than anyone. People compliment me and comment on my work professionally, etc and it’s almost as though I need to be struck by lightning to be proud of myself. You crushed it Will. You’re always crushing it.
This past weekend I completed a 100km mountain ultramarathon. 16 hours and 50 minutes of mountain trail running with almost 3000m of climbing. I was one of the last finishers (and more than 115 people failed to finish). I know exactly how that squat felt, Will. Those emotions are so visceral. Well done.
How many calories do you eat to accomplish something like that I always wonder? I would think at least 10,000 calories for sure do you like bring a bottle of olive oil with you 😂
That feeling after his final squat attempt is exactly how I felt when I attempted my 220 Lbs dead lift. I cried because I was proud of myself. Believe in yourself, and most importantly believe in your own efforts. Your efforts never go to waste.
Hey Will, just wanted to say that you absolutely motivate me. Being a dough boy growing up and busting my ass to lose weight to join the Marine Corps I feel you on a personal level. When I got out of the Marines I went from 195lbs to 245lbs and felt like ending it all due to depression and PTSD. I know it's cliche but your videos have been such a HUGE help for me to get back to 198 and even sign up for my first powerlifting competition this July and get my ACE personal traines license. I just want to say thank you for simply being you, you're awesome man. Now keep grinding and let's stay on it 💪🏾
Not cliché at all brother. Had the exact same issues when I got out of the Army. Still fighting the weight gain but I'm finally able to stay consistent instead of eating out all the time.
Will's reaction at 5:20 is exactly what mine and many other's reactions were the first time we benched 225. It's an absolute unreal feeling to hit a milestone youve been working on for months or even years.
You’ve inspired me to enter my first powerlifting meet this weekend. I’ve always wanted to do this but I haven’t because I’ve been scared and it’s easier that way. Thank you for your vulnerability.
You have no idea how much you inspire your audience, I’ve been through the roughest year of my life and watching your videos has honestly helped me. Keep doing everything you do Will. You are the goat of RUclips in so many peoples eyes ❤️
This was so wholesome to watch and seeing how much you improved and seeing you let out your emotions for hitting that Squat man. I remember when you first tried to attempt that and you decided to keep that failure in your video and not cut it out is a way to look back on what you need to improve on and keep on pushing yourself to reach your goals. I was so happy for you man hitting your goal and so happy to see your progress in your fitness journey. Thank you for being an inspiration and thanks for all the great videos you put out.
Watching Will succeed in this and watching him break down as he realized what he accomplished for himself is amazing. What dedication and hard work can do for you is remarkable. You control your destiny, and what you want to accomplish for yourself in your life is all in your hands. Keep up the great work Will!

Accidentally stumbled on this video and after that third squat, I subbed immediately. Great video. Looking forward to watching this dude more.
Finally some real raw emotion. Could tell this meant a lot to him and he didn’t hold back. Great to see the progress over the years Will
This whole video was just so amazing. Call it cliche, you really are doing a lot of good by putting out this kind of positivity in the world. “Challenge your limits”…I’ll remember that one.
I put my hamster in a sock and slammed it against the furniture
Yo I did not expect Will to make me tear up in the first 5 minutes, that squat PR was unreal man so happy for you
It reminded me of how crazy I got after hitting 300 kg. There's just something about nailing a PR squat.
Congratulations! Thank you for some added inspiration! “Don’t limit your challenges, challenge your limits” YES!!
WTF Will, why did you make me shed a tear?! I was expecting ONLY laughs!! but man, you killed it, congrats Will. Always leading by example, showing us the real deal, and real emotions. Thats why we continue to always watch and support you! Killed it, what a inspo!
When Will started tearing up that got me too, Massive Respect for Crushing your PRs, you're a True Beast KING!
Hi Jax huge fan🎉
Big same
Damn JaxBlade, you watch Will too? You were my gateway into RUclips Fitness videos. Love your content too!
Hey man I've seen you before
For real
Editor Josh, thank you for producing this masterpiece. The editing throughout this entire video is just immaculate!!!
Congrats Will for placing 1st on your 1st meet, very inspiring. Happy to know you're proud of yourself, that's very important 🙌🏻
Thanks so much Nicolau! Proud of Will as well!
Agreed! I was loving the editing through the whole video!
Agreed. It is one thing to document an event, it is another to convey the emotion to the audience. The editing really brought us on the journey with Will.
Preciate that Penguru and A R, that was my goal for the entire edit 🙏
It's so good to see you push through. Really fires me up. Thanks man. I fear failure, but your performance here and your words are pushing me to fear not putting it all out there.
I feel like this video highlighted yet another great quality of Will: his vulnerability. Man is putting his heart out. We love you Will
His ability to be vulnerable* should I say
I understand Wills emotions hitting that squat completely. I hit 225 on bench last week finally. I chased it in high school but gave up on myself before I ever got there. 10 years later I got it clean and I felt that same rush of emotions. Chasing goals is a powerful thing when you reach them. Proud of you Will! Keep up the great work man.
Ollie is proud of you, Will. Keep pushing the limits! Congrats!
"Don't limit your challenges, challenge you limits." Great advice Will. Congratulation for the awesome lifts, breaking your PRs and winning the gold. 🙂
"Don't limit your challenges. Challenge your limits."
- Will Tennyson
As a 44 year old who has just began lifting, you are very inspiring, Will. Love you man and congrats on your accomplishments!
Starting at 44 that is inspiring my man!
Probably my new favorite video of Will’s. We all know he’s funny, but seeing his personality truly shine after he pushed himself was sick!
This was so inspiring. Keep doing what you do Will!!
I'm just a stranger on the Internet, but I'm so proud of you, Will! Glad we have someone like you in the fitness world.
There's a great fitness influencer, and then there is a fitness influencer who tears up and makes you tear up. Will you are the best!! We need a shirt that says "Don't limit your challenges, challenge your limits" Gives me chills.
God bless!
Thank you!! This is awesome. Thanks for willing to be vulnerable. 💪🏾
@@thejoshuathomas Same boat here brother, well said 👍🏻
Me too overcoming and hitting PR often makes me cry that’s what it’s all about proud of Will here.
Naw it wasnt dumb, it was enough to make a grown man cry
396 likes and counting... this is literally the current generation of men, crying over watching a guy on RUclips cry because he hit a squat PR. Soft af.
I took a break from lifting and fitness channels for a few months. I come back and I see your video with not just sick new editing and transitions, but also you winning your first meet!
So proud of you, man.
Will did a fantastic job for sure! And thanks for the kind words about the editing 👌 Sincerely, Editor Josh
Exact. Same. To see will crush it first meet AND on Bare ?? Woweeeeee very nice fr 😩👍
Dude, your work has been super inspirational. I love the message, "don't care about your competition, just go out and have fun"
I hope more people can get themselves in the rooms of discomfort.
glade you saw this, how did your classes go?
this random comment is damn good?!
I love this guy. This video made me cry. I know what it’s like to be harder on myself than anyone. People compliment me and comment on my work professionally, etc and it’s almost as though I need to be struck by lightning to be proud of myself. You crushed it Will. You’re always crushing it.
08:46 Loved the fact that "Dyers Eve" was playing in the background. Great song🔥
Well done.
Omg! Congrats!!
Congrats on simply finishing! That is a true test of strength and endurance!
Insane achievement mate! Good on you!
STAY HARDDD!
Now keep grinding and let's stay on it 💪🏾
keep going! you got this.
Never quit or give up son. Semper Fidelis
Not cliché at all brother. Had the exact same issues when I got out of the Army. Still fighting the weight gain but I'm finally able to stay consistent instead of eating out all the time.
Thank you for your work, Pat. And Austin too. May you guys hit your goals
Thank you for your service man, Semper Fi
I wasn't expecting to cry clicking on this video man
I'm very proud of you Will, very inspiring
Will's reaction at 5:20 is exactly what mine and many other's reactions were the first time we benched 225. It's an absolute unreal feeling to hit a milestone youve been working on for months or even years.
I never did. My first 225 bench was an easy triple. Never maxed out.
You’ve inspired me to enter my first powerlifting meet this weekend. I’ve always wanted to do this but I haven’t because I’ve been scared and it’s easier that way. Thank you for your vulnerability.
break a leg buddy!
How’d it go
I feel so happy for Will. First time seeing him cry made me emotional as well. I hope he keeps breaking more PR's.
Seeing Will cry hit hard, so proud of what he’s done
You have no idea how much you inspire your audience, I’ve been through the roughest year of my life and watching your videos has honestly helped me. Keep doing everything you do Will. You are the goat of RUclips in so many peoples eyes ❤️
“Challenge your limits”💯💯
This video right here, cements why Will is the #1 fitness influencer around. Watching that emotion got me in my feelings. way to nail it Will!
"Don't limit your challenges, challenge your limits" man that moved me to work even harder
This is my favorite video of your so far! Love the raw emotion buddy!!! That was very inspiring. I appreciate it. God bless
Watching Will succeed in this and watching him break down as he realized what he accomplished for himself is amazing. What dedication and hard work can do for you is remarkable. You control your destiny, and what you want to accomplish for yourself in your life is all in your hands. Keep up the great work Will!
Man..
I never saw will this emotional..
Wow..
You just nailed it will..
hats off 👏 🙌
"For once in your life, you took a break" hits deeeeeeeep! Good job Will, you deserve it!
bro is a beast really appreciate him
I'm honored to be able to share this moment with you Will, what an inspiration.
Never would I've thought that I would be crying watching a powerlifting meet. You're an inspiration Will!
