THE DUDE WHO DID THE CALF RAISES IS LITERALLY A MENACE TO SOCIETY
How much are the plates?
@@sir.random2710 6 plates 45 pounds each (20 kg) so total 270 lbs(120kg) + machine weight
We have a standing calf raise machine at my gym and I max it out at 305(5extra added to the cable) and it the weight is so hard on my shoulders that I get broken blood vessels from prolly the pressure difference
@@HVNI it can't be used as a straightforward measurement since the machine is on a hinge which isn't the same for everyone. The machine also depends on the users body weight as well as position while seated. Next time you use it just see how different sitting towards the weights vs sitting near the fulcrum. Its a world of a difference and hurts just as good either way. Free weights and standing calf raise machines are the only realistic method of comparing calf strength.
@@araborn812 sounds like worn out pads. If it is hurting your shoulders then perhaps using a barbell in a cage may be more beneficial. O would just keep in mind that if the gym is busy and youre in a squat rack and solely doing calf raises without working in with anyone else you might get some angry looks lol. Commerical and serious gyms have much different crowds.
I respect the confidence of the guy that saw Will's chest and still decided to challenge him on bench press lmao
No kidding right?
That is exactly what I thought man ha
Will has extremely strong chest, it's hard to see a natty bench more than him.
As soon as he said "100 lbs" the confidence kinda went away lol
Letting these guys do half reps and horrible form, just shows how good of a dude Will is
Seriously
I wasn’t really paying attention tbh, but only noticeable one was the leg press
And the back rows
@@HybridEA1 this was hideous it was quarter reps😂
The hand shake with Mark and the moan I laughed SO HARD 😂
And he passed away

Reminded me of some dude's car had his horn moan set up and going off while driving down the strip in Vegas LMAO "OOOHHH YEAAAHHH" 🤣
Doing this challenge at Planet Fitness would have saved Will alot of money
That's presumptuous
Nah bro you’d be surprised at the big ass mofos you see there 😂
@@TheSatan222 no its not lmao
Knowing his luck, he’d run into another fitness channel doing a Planet Fitness prank video and then lose the money to them

them saying they were going to disneyland was so funny 😭
Yes but the whole time Will must wear jump shoes

The guy who only does legday heard about the challenge and started fastwalking across town to finally do what he has been training for the last 2 decades. Well done sir.
Challenging Will to calves was cheeky af 😂
😂💀
bro I've got a Fatsique cause i just lost the weight this past year. ive got calves and i immediatley thought id challenge will to those when the vid started lmao

I like how he does every exercise as if there were competition refs, but on the other hand doesnt care if the contestant is a bit „sloppy“. Just a genuine nice guy.
hearing '10 more' is the worst thing you could hear at the gym
Will was super generous on some of the form of his competitors.
Agreed. Full ROM left the chat when that last guy did 30 quarter reps on leg press.
@@marissa46934 the pull ups too, it would be hard in Will's position though I guess. Need a 3rd party adjudicator next time 😉😂
Range of motion is usually no where to be found on leg press, sadly.
@@marissa46934 for that guy he probably couldn't go any lower if he tried
@@Yokatosh yeah I thought the same too, also his stretch reflex has to be very strong.
As a fat man, I can safely say you never challenge one of us to leg press, we're training every day of our damned lives lol
Also the fact he’s absolutely huge so he’s already got the meat on the legs to push it
@@eeeeeetp thats not how it works lol. being big helps with free weights, not machines. heavier = easier to balance the weight aka more stability.
@@HehehexDD It is how it works for push exercises because that's how physics work, when you push something it pushes the same amount of force onto you. With that in mind think about a lightweight guy trying to push a big heavyweight guy, the heavyweight guy is always going to have a huge advantage and will most likely win even when most of his weight isn't from muscle tissue. That's why strength is usually measured by bodyweight.
@@tomereitan105 that's exactly what I said... more stability... that only applies to FREE WEIGHTS, not leg presses.
@@HehehexDD You've complete missed the point. Being big isn't about the moment of the lift it's about the fact that 600lbs wasn't that much for him because (spit ball) he's carrying 4-500 lbs on his legs at all time anyway. It's got nothing to do with stability and everything to do with the fact that fat people develop strong legs because they carry themselves around all day. Free weights or leg press your average fat guy will do better than your average skinny/standard weight guy.
You just have to love Will's attitude. And the handshake moans killed me every time.
This is one of the best videos you've made, Will. I love the overall encouragement that everyone (including yourself) gives to each other whether you win or lose - cheering each other on, spotting each other even to the point where it will make or break a $100 payout. Good stuff.
Didn't expect the 18 reps of 100, neither did the other guy apparently lol
Not sure what that guy was thinking. He’s looks like he just started lifting last week.
17 pullups at his weight are actually mad impressive. Most big guys cant do 8
Bros got upper body strength
Damn,i must be pretty big since i can only do 8💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲,
I can’t even do one 😎 💪 I’m massive 😎
how much does Will weigh? I thought he was only about 190
14:05 helping him so he doesn't feel bad at losing again is so wholesome good job my guy😂
I noticed that too, Will's a based dude. Plus what's $100 compared to the energy and self esteem boost to another person?
Where are we?
And not really showing that in the edit or saying anything about it. Really says volumes
@@Soapzky mascutopia
i like that tbh. its all about mental. next day hes going to the gym feeling good. hit max rep, made 100$. his entire week trajectory is peaked. will is such a naturally good dude.
I can tell the guy, who did 18 reps with 7 plates on the leg press, pushed as hard as he could. He’s the real hero.
Will is the most wholesome, sociable, kind, humble and funny RUclipsr out there, just discovered his channel, and I’m binging it !!! Shiit, even his community is so supportive of each other and kind af ! Much love from algeria bros 🇩🇿 ♥️
I like the legpress rematch. Will is such a good sport, encouraging the guy the whole time... (And helping him push the weight up even if he was only helping for like 40 pounds. He wanted to see the guy succeed)
Even if it turned into a knee press
thing is the range of motion for like the last 8 reps was horrendous
Yeah that guys ROM was probably half of his Will's, its nice he let him win tho.
I think the hand was more so in case the dude fatigued and couldn't hold it, so he doesn't incidentally break this kids legs by challenging him
@@randallradke1279 but also the guy will let win had his feet higher up which makes the lift much easier
I love this because each guy got to show their strengths, it shows how different everyone is and how everyone has amazing skills in different aspects of the gym.
Everyone may be different and with different skills but Everyone likes the same thing i.e Disney land😁
Not sure I'd refer to any of it as "skill". Ability is a better word here, there's no skill involved

The editing is this video was TOP NOTCH the JPM was on point! Love this channel.
This is a great vid. Dudes learning from each others strengths, competition and it's fun. Nice
The blurring of Will's calf was absolute genius editing... I cracked up there.
Same with the Taylor swift coming from the guys airpods..
I love how this video shows all the different shapes and sizes strength can come in. From the shorter guy with the insane sumo deadlift, to the dude doing muscle-up after muscle-up, to the bigger guy banging out 22 reps on the leg press machine no problem.
30 reps on the leg press, yeah. Looks can be deceiving. I tell a lot of people who are heavier and feel self-conscious going to the gym, just to get on the leg press. They are always surprised when they max it out and people with what they think are better physiques, can't even do half. It's the single biggest confidence boost that brings them back to the gym.
What about the even "BIGGER" guy that does 30 at the end and just gets money given to him???🤨🤨🤨
except every one one of those reps was garbage cos he can barely bend his knees...
@@GamezGuru1 I mean... He couldn't bend them any more so I think that it should be counted. At benchpress fat people also have much smaller ROM, but you can't do anything to go any lower with the bar.
Absolutely
The best part is how enthusiastic will is at seeing people succeed. Very cool.
In my mind, I was waiting for the guys legs to just brake during the leg press.
5:59 I loved the dude's response on Sumo Deadlifts lmaooo this video was great Also INSANE Respect to the dude at the very end
Hey Jax I remember you from old ice1cube videos, Hope you are doing well.

He was doing quarter reps
His form was atrocious. Half repped his way to $100

This challenge is so good. Really makes the gym a much better place where everyone is communicating with others and encouraging each other. Very nice idea Will.
Impressive! Well done keeping up!
Best video so far bro, this was hilarious
Your opponents' leg presses were jokes: very short range of motion. Will, you were very gracious by accepting those crappy reps and letting them win. Respect!
I thought the same thing but still being able to go crank out 30 partial reps is still pretty impressive
@@navonjohns8914 i dont think yall are talking about the same guy, the fat guy at the end did pretty well. but the asian guy...not so much
@Garrett Black Facts. These guys are giving him shit just because he's fat. That's full ROM if i've ever seen one. Any lower and his butt might lift.
Absolutely! People who are that overweight tend to have extremely strong lower bodies. They've been carrying around all of their weight for X-amount of years! Any form of walking becomes a workout...
My cousin was morbidly obese for most of his childhood and half of his teen years-Once he got into lean shape and lost that weight, he found he had these massive calves and thighs! His arms and upper body were extremely weak, though.
He balanced out in time, once he started going to the gym with me.
If it’s the last guy it’s impressive. As a big guy we can’t get “ full ROM” like most can because of our body shape we go as low as we can.
That big guy at the end was like the final boss…literally😂
Yep
Came out of nowhere too... What a legend.
He has a lot of cushion to bounce off of, and a 3 inch range of motion though
@@Tybren He may have had a 3 inch range of motion, but that's to be expected with his stature. I doubt he could do more than a 5 inch range of motion without losing a lot of the fat blocking his legs from moving more.
@@pyromaniachimbo well what he did was impressive, but im sure will couldve done the same with the same range of motion.

You should share more of your knee problems and how you deal with it after the 100 000 step challenge. I think a lot of people can relate to it
probably 100.000 steps challenge followed by 3 weeks legs recovery challenge
Yeah my knee is destroyed from all the running and walking I do on concrete. Need to start cycling or swimming but running is so addicting
This guy's energy is awesome. I'd challenge him, knowing I'd loose everything, just so I'd push myself harder
“I’m going to set a PR while getting my ass kicked” is exactly where I want to be in the gym.

I gotta say Will do perfect form for all of those exercises.
That deadlift guy looked too small to lift 475 pds
Impressive and as usual another banger from will
He was strong af for a smaller guy
He wasn't that small lol, and 475 is not that heavy for someone who competitively powerlifts. Will lifts for content and physique purposes, but that guy likely has a coach and proper strength specific programming. His actual max of 565 or whatever he said, impressed me much more than him moving 475. Probably close to a 3x bw deadlift, would put him in elite range for most weight classes.
@@ConnorLipke He's wearing GBT shorts and in a anytime fitness probably just runs Russ's program or some other powerlifting one. 565 isn't a crazy number you need a coach for
@@keegxz At that body weight you do lol. That puts him at international elite for the 165lbs bw class in the USPA. Literally an elite deadlift. That doesn't happen at that bodyweight without a coach.
@@ConnorLipke No you do not. The 74kg tested record is 725. People get by perfectly fine with CBB, Sheiko, etc. Just because you have an elite” lift doesn’t mean you automatically have a coach. The deadlift is also the lift a lot of regular people find themselves excelling at. Plus the USPA elite deadlift is 569 and he might not pull that on kg plates either. Elite total is 1498, if he’s also hitting that total than there’s a high chance of a coach. But a heavy deadlift, or one heavy lift, is in no way indicative of having a proper coach or not.
