    What are you looking for in a charger / wall adapter?

      Thanks for the review, i think i would like to know more than style or size, is the actual temperature of the Iphone during charge more than the temperature of the charger, and the other thing is to know if its degrades battery condition of the iphone 12, ofc that would be in a long term way.

      Which Anker charger should i buy for my iPhone Anker PIQ charger or PD charger?

  • @syoung20001

    “Intelligently measures temperature to safeguard your iPhone”, then went on to discuss that the charging block didn’t feel too hot, etc….
    I believe it monitors your phone’s battery temperature and holds back for a minute if the phone gets too hot in order to protect your battery from quicker degradation by the heat that typically occurs with fast charging.
    It’s not about the temp of the charging block itself.

    • @kidnextdxxr
      @kidnextdxxr 2 года назад

      Yea my guess is it gets hot cuz it’s holding back power. Idk how allat resistance n heat shii works wit electricity but jus a guess. My regular Anker nano doesn’t get hot fr when charging like my nano pro does. And my phone still gets hot using the nano pro so I feel like I bought it for no reason

    • @84-alimulislam70
      @84-alimulislam70 2 года назад

      I have the same ques. Does your block get hot while charging?

    • @oliverlison
      @oliverlison 2 года назад

      It only can measure the temperature of the charging brick. If the temperature of the output rises too quickly/instantly then the charger will cut off. This prevents overheating or damaging the phone. How often does it need to measure the output stage, no idea/ However, it is impossible to measure the phone battery temperature without having a sensor close to it.
      There is no feedback from the Iphone to the charger.
      However there are certain fast charging protocols that allow variable voltages and currents. A phone can be charged with 10v/2amps for instance. The phone needs to transform the voltage down to charge the 3.7V battery

    I prefer to travel with a single 65W adapter with folding prongs. I can power both my laptop and the phone (through the phone or directly) that way.

    • @NanceDrew
      @NanceDrew 2 года назад +4

      These higher wattage bricks don’t charge any faster and make devices hot. They are NOT healthy for your very expensive devices, Check out reviews on RUclips where they do tests on these vs. other higher wattage ones. Here is the best one I’ve found thus far: ruclips.net/video/sq-TEDNWhGA/видео.html They can damage or quickly age your new iPhone batteries. It happened to me. Check out the best review by “MobileReviewerEh” named “We Tested 7 Different 20w
      Chargers”. Which one was best for MagSafe and the iPhone 12s? (I just found the video and listed the link above). Yes, it’s dated a bit, but it still holds true for the 13s. My battery health on the 12 Pro Max went down to 88% in less than a year using these faster charger for my 12 Pro Max. I’m not letting that happen again!

    • @TCPUDPATM
      @TCPUDPATM 2 года назад +22

      @@NanceDrew Higher wattage chargers absolutely do not make your device hotter. And no, they’re not bad for your device either.
      The truth is something different. Higher wattage chargers supply more power, but the actual device commands how much power is received. Yes, this can mean more heat due to more power - but the device controls that, NOT the charger. Obviously a 20W charger plugged into an iPhone 13 will only supply 20W, which means the phone will charge cooler, and slightly slower since the iPhone 13 pro max can accept 27W max.
      So it’s more complicated than what most reviewers make it out to be - but there will not be any damage.

    my favorite banker charger is the 65w Anker nano. they're the same size as Apple's 18w charger but what I like about it is I can use it for my phone and my laptop.

    • @BlissBatch
      @BlissBatch 2 года назад

      I'm assuming you mean the 65W Nano II? That one is a little bit too big and heavy for it to be appropriate for anyone who doesn't have a laptop. But, if you do have a laptop, then it is by far the best charger on the market, to the point where you shouldn't even really consider anything else!

  • @anujpratimdas9055
    @anujpratimdas9055 3 года назад +12

    People who are asking if the 20 watts charging decreases the battery life of the phone's battery, the answer is yes it will probably decrease the battery life faster than with the lower watt charger but other phones in the market has already started using charging technology above 18 watt 22 watt 30 watt 33 watt 45 watt 50 watt 65 watt 108 watt 120 watt etc. So I would say using a 20 watt adapter should be okay for the battery health as long as people don't use the phones for 4 or 5 years. once you're probably changed the battery at about 3 years time because that's the time that the battery will probably degrade.

    • @Asidebar
      @Asidebar 3 года назад

      why does using a 20 watts charger decrease battery life?

    • @anujpratimdas9055
      @anujpratimdas9055 3 года назад +1

      @@Asidebar higher watt chargers degrades the battery over time and effects battery life after a certain number of charge circles. It will probably feel the reduced battery life only after 2 to 3 years. But I think high watt chargers are worth charging with because you can always change the battery of the phone if it degrades after 2 to 3 years.
