Are Emergency Ration Bars Worth It?

Due to Hurricane Beryl causing widespread power outages and restaurants to close, I decided to taste test the ration bars I had stashed away a few years ago to hopefully ease my hunger. The bars were very dry and had a weak apple flavor. They weren’t enjoyable but I could force myself to eat them if necessary. MREs would taste better but the bag of ration bars have the advantage of sustaining you for a longer period than a single MRE and being more affordable since 6 meals/bars are provided in a single bag.
