This is why I keep upto date with Spicy - you never know what video he will produce next and even then, always enjoy watching them. Highly informative too and can see this as a replacement drill as my own has died. Thank you and carry on fine sir!
How does it feel balance wise? Just had the chance to hold one in the shop (without a battery) , but it seemed very forward heavy compared to the 28 or 21.
I have have had a Bosch grinder for 10+ years, the only thing that broke was the side handle - only thing I would is dip the drill in and out a few times on thicker material as it cools the bit, clears the debris out of the hole - what extends the bits life
Hi I brought the bosch battery drill mentioned and the mains drill both are good quality tools easy to use comfortable top marks for bosch tools I found they are way better than black and decker tools by a longway cheers scobe UK 2024
Awesome video! Starting my carpentry apprenticeship in September and I think I’ve found the brand I’ll be using for tools! Bosch professional seems to be very good in general, love the video🙏
Brilliant. The blue tools are the better quality intended for professionals! If Bosch give you the chance ask them for an impact driver for screws, you’ll never go back to using a drill for screw-driving.
I know this is two years old, but, if you are using good screws suitable for the materials, with or without pilot holes, again according to materials, you should not need impact drivers, so you do without all that bloody noise ! I’ve done enough lofts and houses to know !
i really love bosch products my uncle gave me his 1995 angle grinder withdaily use because his a welder in fabricating shop on still no repair only carbon brushes..my skil angle grinder, bosch gsb16re 6yrs used and abused im still running fine ..ps.it also defends on the user on how he used the powertools🙂
Drilling steel/alu - shouldn't it be rather - apply pressure and drill slowly? It would be much helpful if you tested drill 7 mm and up (8, 10, hell even 13 mm).
Pretty much work with steel and masonry ( 3mm / 12 mm ) and usually far from power . Going to get this drill as we have it on promotion at the moment and this helped me decide to get it .
I've just used my [newly bought] drill for the first time. It worked ok, but all the bits I tried came loose as they drilled. I tried to 'click' them in as tight as I could, but it still happened.
Are the batteries that come with the Bosch green range interchangeable with those supplied with the Bosch blue range? I've just bought a few spares for my Bosch green drill but want to upgrade for something a little more powerful
I like Bosch I have some of their 12v range and it’s great. For my work though their 18v range can’t cope unfortunately, so I’m yellow and black for the heavy duty stuff. Good for you spicy I’m always jealous watching you tubers getting free tools. Having spent thousands on tools for work over the years I’d love some freebies but hey ho I understand why the send them your way. 👍🏻
16:52 careful! that is not a hammer mode! It is an impact mode. Look up the manuals you got with this drill. This drill HAS NO HAMMER and therefore it is not suitable well for masonry stuff. I regret buying it because they drew a hammer on it but it is an impact drilling option. Such a huge disappointment
Though impact it can still do masonry but you have to push a bit harder (some use the other hand to push at the back of the tool) , the only thing it is not suitable is concrete .
@@mattroll5456 I am so upset right now but hey... at least I will have two drills once I get a proper drill for the concrete. Thank you for these tips...
Speed aka rpm is dependent to the diamiter of the bit you are using. Smaller drill bit the faster it is spun but the feed rate is reduced. Speeds and feeds init haha
Ave is good but he don't test the tool b4 he pulls it apart and if he puts it together wrong which he has done he will blame the tool for not working correctly. If ave tested tools b4 pulling them apart he would be much better.

I have just picked up the brushless version of this (or close to it - the BSB 18V-55). Hopefully I'm as impressed with it, as you are with this.
How does it feel balance wise? Just had the chance to hold one in the shop (without a battery) , but it seemed very forward heavy compared to the 28 or 21.
side handle would of been nice, don't think you can't go wrong with the top 4 dewalt milwaukee makita or bosch
You are right about Bosch angle grinders, very reliable grinders.
I have have had a Bosch grinder for 10+ years, the only thing that broke was the side handle - only thing I would is dip the drill in and out a few times on thicker material as it cools the bit, clears the debris out of the hole - what extends the bits life

which impact driver are you referencing

Ive had the older model drill and driver set for 4-5 years and never missed a beat
Which model is that?
How battery backup gives u 🤔
No doubt Bosch will be delighted with this review, you didn't leave a stone unturned. Or a screw👍👍👍
i will shortly be looking for a new drill this may well be the one i get
brilliant review mate keep up the good content
Hm po nyn
Thanks for the review, made me buy one. Quick question: hard concrete, how is your experience with that?
With good bits that are not too large it works fine, larger bits 10mm + not so much as it is asking quite a bit from it.
PA6-GF30 = 70% Polyamide, 30% glass fibre
Tough yet flexible fibre-reinforced plastic
SEBS = Styrene Ethyl Butyl Styrene
aka synthetic rubber, resistant to chemicals
Solid review, struggling to understand why dislikes, super useful 👌🏻👏🏻👍🏻
I've just used my [newly bought] drill for the first time. It worked ok, but all the bits I tried came loose as they drilled. I tried to 'click' them in as tight as I could, but it still happened.
Might be because it has a metal chuck if it stops too quickly it can loosen the bit so just make sure you release the trigger a little bit slower
Does it have a metal chuck?
@@cianhalley858 It does, and thanks for the advice.
what's it like for chuck slop/wobble like black&decker always get?
Its very tight atm, I will have to see if in a few months anything changes.
@@spicy110 did you had any chuck wobble in the end?

Take a look at Bosch multicut they are long-lasting and will cut everything without even having to change the bit
I used to have the same angle grinder and i hated it because of the switch.
I want to know how many time needed for drill 3 mm hole in metal (thickness 2 mm ) with this machine ??
Sir how can I buy it??I am from india...made in where????

Tip when drilling metal go, slower you will burn out the bit at higher speed. Good vid tho.
That would be dependent on the size of drill bit being used, the smaller the bit the higher thr RPM. It's all speeds and feeds stuff.
I Like everything BOSCH.
Hey man, quick question how is your drill after those few years? @spicy110
I recently did a video on the impact and you can see it in that video. Still going strong no issues at all.
Looks like a great bit of kit. Will you have an affiliate link to it?
Other than being in my Amazon store front nooo 👍

@@mattroll5456 which is just going to wear on the tool.
That explains why mine is a pile of shit drilling anything harder than sponge cake lol
What's the torque of this drill
around 60 Nm
@@TeacherFlash thx
@@TeacherFlash you nice videos on your channel
5Ah battery... Recommended for anything that requires torque and power.
When your drilling through steel speed is your enemy , good video tho

So he used it to polish and drive couple screw . Did i miss the drill review? What the hell did he review
As explained in the video I used it in daily work, There is far more review in this video than any unboxing "review"

This is Brushless ?
the Blue edition yes
the drill seems to be blunt at 15 min....
Ze Germans know how to make good stuff lol. Their tools are top notch
yes germany, and scandinavi make quality, and look at the counties, all, just go smooth, quality people, and etichs.
i wish i had one😔
