Basically there is a very rare glitch that happens when you have a really high bit rate/frame rate/physics speed in the game, for whatever reason it can end up making reflected summon swords deal a limbillion damage to Vergil or he just gets hit by it repeatedly a hundred times in a single second. Can't really remember but yeah it is a rare glitch that can happen.
I believe the only reasonable explanation for this is that it's a glitch I unintentionally encountered, but who knows, maybe its a secret way of defeating Vergil implemented by the developers. 🤷♂️
