I think everyone misses the point when comparing these two. Their fighting styles are almost exactly the same besides how they express it. If either of them were to pick up the other's weapon, they would be as familiar with it as if they'd wielded it their whole lives. (This is directly demonstrated in DMC4.) They would be two halves of a whole if not for their personalities. Dante is a fighter who uses his instincts and kinesthetic steeze to turn a battlefield into a playground. Put simply, he's having fun. Vergil focuses on honing his technique and performing every killing stroke with divine clarity of purpose. In a word: _Perfection._ The binding link? The soul-deep trait that both wield as well as any weapon? _They talk hella smack._
They both use Speed, Precision, Versatility, Style and Power. Just on different levels Where Vergil is faster and more precise, Dante makes up for more Versatility and more Style. But concerning power, they're on equal levels(most likely). So in real sense, both are equal in combat. There usually isn't any definite Winner. But once you take away their Weapons(if that can be possible), and let them fight with hands and with their equal power, Vergil's Speed will give him an upper edge_____whether or not they're skilled in hand-to-hand combat.
Idk man Dante can box pretty well with his quick jab, straights, bobbing and weaving etc. where as Vergil uses a lot more mundane hand to hand combat attacks with Beowulf focusing more on strength and power than skill
@@bakedcrystal915 i think Vergil uses a mix of BJJ and Taekwondo while using Beowulf, while Dante uses MMA and Kapoera for most of the fights using Balrog.
I'd say Dante packs a LOT power and stylish in every attack he does, and if not, you'd definitely flinch a lot if you're gonna face Dante, while for Vergil he is a speed freak and precise to the point its already done before you know it and ofc, has ungodly amount of motivation than the rest gang, and last but not the least, Vergil is cooler ngl.
Ironically enough Dante actually does hardly any damage, he can do a combo that lasts a full minute and it will do less damage than a 30 second long Vergil combo
@@SomeRandomVergilFanboy because dante just choses to have fun while vergil tries to finish it as quickly as he can, otherwise he'd loose to vergil if he lacked that much strength
One thing about both of them is they share techniques just altered to their fighting style and if sparda taught both of them would mean spardas fighting style is a combination of both his sons style or he has his own his son's are just changing it to their liking so in a way we seen spardas fighting style Dante even does spardas movements when he preforms judgement
Vergil SDT > Dante SDT. Bcuz Vergil can control it wayy better. Dante's Judgement attack takes full SDT gauge and doesn't even does half the damage Vergil's judgement cut end does and on top of that Vergil SDT can spam 4 judgement cut end in a single sdt bar. Vergil's Hell on Earth is also better than Dante's Demolition attack( the black hole one). Bcuz Demolition is a single target attack. Vergil's Hell on earth nukes the entire area and does huge amount of damage. Vergil can go on and off in SDT for a few seconds without the cost of SDT gauge anytime no need for Quadruple S ability like Dante does. And Vergil can turn his sdt off anytime Dante can't. These are My personal takes. Plus Vergil's SDT extends a lot of moves of Vergil as well.

Idk if anyone watches seven deadly sins, but i noticed that dante and vergil are quite similiar to meliodas and zeldris. In 7ds melidoas is a stronger swordsman, while fast too he's not as fast as his brother zeldris. Same thing with dante, both dante and meliodas focus morebon power than speed. While vergil and zeldris are the faster swordsman focusing on speed than power, of course they're also powerful but they have less impact on their attacks. I definitely will say dante is stronger with his attacks, but vergil is faster.
Now all we need is a game where they show Sparda's badassery and all the events that led to these current five games. Even if he is permanently dead or imprisoned somewhere.
I'm gonna say it: Dante's Sin DT is cooler than any of Vergil 's moves. You can turn into a 360° missile launcher, crush enemies in an implosion created by the power of your mind, turn into a drill, and even perform a super combo where you slash and kick the shit out of literally every enemy visible on screen, finished off with a badass pose and explosion. Judgement cut end and whatever special move Beowolf had feel underwhelming.
@@gamechanger8908 while sacrificing 100k+ orbs with a 15 second charge up while 3 Hell on Earths with no sacrifice and 2 seconds of charge can finish enemies
SDT Vergil doesn't need SSS or a 5 second long animation to trigger. And his super moves are miles better than Dante's. Use Deep Stinger for enemies who constantly block, or teleporting ones. Use Hell on Earth to 1 shot the Arena. Use Judgment Cut End to do a Badass finisher for a combo. Amd still basically does more damage than Dante's Judgment super.

Dante is a fighter who uses his instincts and kinesthetic steeze to turn a battlefield into a playground. Put simply, he's having fun.
Vergil focuses on honing his technique and performing every killing stroke with divine clarity of purpose. In a word: _Perfection._
The binding link? The soul-deep trait that both wield as well as any weapon?
_They talk hella smack._
They both use Speed, Precision, Versatility, Style and Power. Just on different levels
Where Vergil is faster and more precise, Dante makes up for more Versatility and more Style.
They both use gauntlet type weapons, so that might translate well to HtH.
ROYAL GUARD
I think they're generally even in speed but Vergil is just far more precise. Speed comes from precision more than raw force.
Dante fights with style, Vergil fights with finesse, Nero is angsty
Nero is just a menace, bro literally suplexed Vergil during the final battle
I'M NOT LETTING YOU DIE!
Just like my twin and I, we compare ourselves to all the twin characters in the great games we play.
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be
I like how both of them are built the same and can basically do the same things but choose to fight differently
You hit that nobody with like 7 void slashes
the agony from seeing that lack of style
2:35 just for showing round trip you had to change the sword rebellion 🗡️⚔️
Regardless who you prefer, this game perfectly blends style and technical ability.
Its like the older calm brother vs. the younger aggressive brother
4:56 ok that is cool af
One thing about both of them is they share techniques just altered to their fighting style and if sparda taught both of them would mean spardas fighting style is a combination of both his sons style or he has his own his son's are just changing it to their liking so in a way we seen spardas fighting style Dante even does spardas movements when he preforms judgement
Yep they really are twins
i love the detail when both dante and vergil stop using sin devil trigger. Dante gets tired after using that form while vergil just shruggs
dante and vergil are the same person
That's why V said to Nero they are twin brother

brutal batalla saludos, buen trabajo
I wonder does SDT Vergil able to do moves like SDT Dante?
No it's just Vergil's regular moveset but improved
its like 4 devil trigger but improved
@@walo351 yeah I already know that but if Vergil wanted to, can he spin stinger, throw fireballs, create a time-stopping blackhole?
@@thaitoan4760 He can cut through reality and dimensions, as well as having a literal ability called Deep Stinger.
Vergil is the most silent cold character and Dante is pure chaos badass.
1:58 The best FUCKING SWORD 🎉
4:42 Excellent way to enter a fight haha
1:54 Judgement Cut End with Sin Devil Trigger
6:04 Judgement cut End
6:10 Dante & Vergil final battle
no wonder they were born twins!
Who harder as boss? Vergil or Dante?
Vergil able to use Dante sword, and Dante able to use Yamato, they know each other so well...
Dante
He have more weapons even if dds is stronger than yamato
Dante and Vergil for Mortal Kombat 12 DLC characters
Would be crazy and dope to see 🔥🔥
Add issac clark too
Mortal Kombat si too slow for them.
The only thing I wish was different is that Dantes Drive worked more like vergils. I know there's quick drive but it's not the same.
Quick drive is better, it has way longer reach.Damage is about the same.
@@DetrasDeTiImbecil statisticly it's very similar. But it just doesn't FEEL as satisfying, for multiple reasons that I am currently too drunk to spell out.
@@nathanwhiting5475 definitely more satisfying.Need more effort to pull it off.You need to slash first, then do the drive quickly. With vergil just push back to front and there you go.Too easy.
@@DetrasDeTiImbecil there is hardly any difference at all in difficulty. I just feel stupid slashing at the air before actually doing the move
Loved this!
everybody's here talking about the differences but for me i find the similarities more interesting, cause even though they both have lived different lives and have different weapons they were still partially trained by sparda
if for some reason we get a prequel game where we play as sparda i would love to see both dante and vergil fighting styles portrayed in his own unique fighting style
this is the best version of the game so far too fucking good❤
I do wonder whether or not Sparda gave the Rebellion and Yamato based on their personalities.
Nice video bro :)
I definitely will say dante is stronger with his attacks, but vergil is faster.
what is what dante says in the second 0:46 when transforming?
"Let me show you what I got"
Hmm i think combat style is almost the same but dante get more to power while vergil more to speed i think they are Ballance
Now all we need is a game where they show Sparda's badassery and all the events that led to these current five games. Even if he is permanently dead or imprisoned somewhere.
0:41 GET OUT GET OUT
@8:55
Dante: Royal Gua…
Vergil: No
I'm gonna say it:
Dante's Sin DT is cooler than any of Vergil 's moves.
And all that and still not as much damage as Beowulf's Hell on Earth finisher
@@akuma2916 then we got Dante using p2w tecniques with dr faust and one shotting the enemy through scorch earth tactic.
@@gamechanger8908 while sacrificing 100k+ orbs with a 15 second charge up while 3 Hell on Earths with no sacrifice and 2 seconds of charge can finish enemies
@@akuma2916 which is why I mentioned p2w, also I'm talking about boss fights here. No one plays Dante to speedrun, they play him for style.
Funny vergil still use the beowulf start from dmc 3 when dante evolve from beowulf, gilgamesh, and now balrog
5:54 disgustingly good 😂
I feel that vergil sdt should only be dt, and make a proper sdt for him with a similar floating idle like with dante sdt, plus new moveset from the controls separate from the dt/human combat
His doppelganger should be his style switch (dpads) that could be switched
I agree that Vergil should have had a separate Devil Trigger as well, he had one before so why not now as well? Though I think that might make Vergil too op in the game.
@@AS-Stardust vergil being op is the reason people like him lol
Just make his dt and sdt gauge acts like how dantes qork
And his doppleganger consume his motivation (concentration) gauge lmao
With that itll be balanced in a way
@@AS-Stardust theres concept art in dmc 5 with an updated “regular” devil trigger for vergil, perhaps he still has it, but they wanted to differentiate dante and vergils playstyles a little more?
@@Björnvar that makes sense. Vergil's SDT is more like a DT with super moves anyway compared to Dante's which has a completely different moveset and you can't cancel it manually without quadruple S.
Vergil is more on Speed, Precision and Power
Dante is more on AoE and Style
I love DMC for making two characters that are both equally overpowered and badass.
What do I have to do that Dante makes this Heart behind him? That move right at the beginning of the video. Sorry I just started playing DMC5
You have to complete the Bloody Palace, all of the floors. There’s a taunt for all four playable characters if you do the Bloody Palace as each one.
Do you think Sparda switched between DSS, The Rebellion and Yamato before he gave them to his kids?
Вы играете на геймпаде или клавиатуре?
1:05 i never noticed the backgrounds, the sdt has a mirage
Dante is a destruction devil and Vergil is a thunder devil, right?
right?
that glass breaking move at 4:56 is so damn cool
I believe that's judgement cut end Vergil main move from the yamato
Even Though I Love The Colour Red, Vergil’s Devil Trigger Always Looked The Coolest To Me.
Vergil Is My Kind of Guy!!
You know that feeling when you hear words in noises that don't have any words? yeah, every time I hear Vergil use his dodge my mind thinks that the noise that is being made is someone quickly saying, "let me out". Don't know why, haven't played devil may cry since February of this year I think but mind mind just won't stop thinking that and it has begun to actually annoy me.
He’s a Vergil main confirmed
Excellent👍
basically vergil is for like killing like strong bosses by like comboing them, meanwhile dante is good for like just heavy damage and aoe so like for like the normal enemies dante is way better but dont get me wrong tho dante still has INSANE COMBOS but like still vergils combo is so fast so like if ur skilled vergil combos could be better but like if u just like a combo and like no hard stuffs no weird stuffs then yeah go with dante, overall id say dante is stil a little bit better but once again if u know vergil insane combos then he could be better.
How do I do the first quote?
Vergil: *Sees Dante cool moveset*
Vergil: Give that to me
Dante: No way, you got your own
Vergil: Well I want yours too
Dmc5 has one of the smoothest move set than other games ive seen
7:40 whats that move
On a side note, is Base Vergil stronger than Urizen? Or only in SDT?
yep he is.
Vergil : Yamato
Dante : Rebellion
V : Bird, Black Panther, and A Golem
Nero : Left and Right, Good Night
Is that the difficult fight against Dante? Either you are so cool that you made it look easy, or it is much easier than I thought. What difficulty did you do it on?
Vergil fighting style > Dante fighting style .
They are litterly equal

@@hugo-pg5tv indeed. Both were trained by their pops and it shows.
Granted Vergil's mentality in a fight is more like an actual combatant while Dante prefers the equivalent of 360 noscoping but they both show a level of finesse and know-how that indicates skill.
To be fair Dante's gameplay in this video wasnt really good.
а как снарядить Данте Мятежником ?
Ah yes the Red Oni, Blue Oni trope, different personalities who are opposite to each other.

Who wins in a battle against each other?
So far they are evenly matched.
they’re even,both had 2 wins,2 losses and 2 ties against eachother
Vergil has Bury the Light. He auto won this comparison.

Dante is cooler... and more fierce
Vergil is more precise and calculated I mean that’s how you have to play with him Since runnin around aimlessly and attacking without hitting anything lowers his concentration
