Phase 2 of Season of Discovery is now less than 2 weeks away, and with it so many changes will come into the game.
As of doing this video we have no idea about any of the new runes that there will be - but we certainly know what talents and abilities there will be when the level cap is raised to 40.
So today I wanted to go over some of the biggest changes that each class will get with the currently know new abilities, talents and our level 25 runes.

Don't complain about warlock aoe for tanking until you tried aoe tanking as a warrior in sod.
Its sodding impossible unless you do arms 2h, and i would barely call that tanking, more like dps with extra steps.
Your wrong about rogue tanks, My rogue has 32% DR without devotion aura, 52% with dance up, with def pot and devo aura im close at 58%. Thats far more than a warrior or paladin or shaman, So even if I do lose my 60% dodge+parry I will still be taking less than most other tanks.
Stormstrike already has a buff, from the dual spec rune at the momment

To be fair, the restrictions on reckoning are because it originally had none. Paladins were able to stack reck infinitely and one went so far as to one shot Kazak.

That and warriors stacking rampage in vanilla and one shotting world bosses. One time we summoned one of our warriors in front of bwl and an alliance guild just came out...he whirlwinded and one shotter so many alliance...hilarious.

An idea for a neat rune for prot pally and consecrate.
Consecrated Fire: When your consecrate does damage for the first time to a target Holy Fire (Rank ?) is cast upon them.
So they'll take a instant hit of damage and then a dot in addition to the DOT on the ground.
If paladins don't get some kind of consecrate buff they will continue to struggle

100% crit chain lightnings and lava burst with double crit damage. Or windury/stormstrike. I think they'll be in a good place.

I 100% agree that holy paladin needs a lot of work and your interpretation of holy Shaq was 100% right it means way more damage and And it’s cool down and so does exorcisms !! And yes con needs a buff too

Something I really liked doing as a warlock in classic was using using Voidwalker's Sacrifice to mitigate Hellfire. I could use up to 3 shields in 1 pull. Before pull, I'd sacrifice then immediately start summoning another VW, then after pull i would start hellfiring. When shield gets low, sacrifice 2nd voidwalker. If I needed a 3rd shield, I would use Fel Domination (this paired with Master Summoner makes the cast time like 0.5s, I think) and summon another VW mid pull and immediately sacrifice.
I think using this method is gonna be even more fun as a tank.
Cannot wait for Chain Heal as a resto shaman main. It's going to be so sick seeing the overload procs. However, I absolutely love Healing Rain! It's such a cool spell for classic and has made some of the fights for BFD so easy once scaled. Going to be a sad day when I have to officially drop it :\
as a warrior fanatic im really hoping for a rune that gives something fun to do. most of them are passives. i want a leap or a back flip or some shit.
I think it would be cool to have a charge that you can chain together or a charge that knocks back anything close to that target. So if you charge a flag carrier it will push back their allies or something. I agree that the warrior runes right now are kinda meh lol maybe give our shouts an after effect or something, battle shout makes you have damage resist for a few seconds etc.

Heroic leap would be amazing. I do them recall talking about maybe staying away from some of the movement stuff bc that is not in line with the core of classic.

Titan's grip would be absolutely busted in phase 2....Ravager and Pendulum of Doom? If the fatal wound on Pendulum could proc off ravager spin ticks it'll be way too strong
Titans would be honestly kinda scary. Warriors can already delete you and 2 2 handers you'll be gone before you realize what happened.

What would it look like if the runes we get in the following phases were simply there to modify the existing rune set? So that, for example on a wrist rune, the mage's Ice Lance does 'Splitting Ice'?
The shaman dual wielding rune already buffs stormstrike. I'm hopeful that Blizz adds Maelstrom weapon to Enh.

Interestingly, though, as a guildmate pointed out, that weapon also excludes hunters - but that could just be so the big weapon with the big on-use effect doesn't just go to someone as a stat stick. The other thing that was pointed out is that they could have just made it Unique-Equipped. However, if my previous logic on why they excluded hunters is sound, it explains the class restrictions and lines up with TG coming in as well.

Yeah, Hellfire seems mid af. investing 2 talent points deep into destro for a rank1 spell that harms yourself and still needing a pally/sham to be immune to pushback... They better add a rune to improve Hellfire

Keep in mind that we're seeing raid gear with hit on it. The level disparity is not going to be as big of a deal if you're able to stack a good amount of hit.

A paladin healing rune would be huge! I honestly want to see something that mirrors the glyph of holy light from wrath. Or maybe a rune that encourages melee healing!
Reduces healing range spells by20 yards, but increases healing done by % and reduced mana cost.

I am excited to see what it will be with the passive part of the shamans which you get from Lava Lash. DW without 10% hit, which is already violent, no matter whether you will play the Healer or DPS play.
You forgot to mention rogues will have prep/hemo and improved stealthed ontop of the things you talked about. Its going to get nasty in pvp
Priest here, the utility of shadows healing next phase is going to be nuts, 10m content is perfect for bringing one healer+spriest. Even middle of the pack damage with being able to keep the caster group alive alone will be worth it to bring. Not to mention if we get additional utility
yeah VE is super strong in classic, spriest would be great as a passive healer, but mana remains the biggest problem, without some kind of rune for their own mana its really worthless

The weirdest thing about Deep Wounds is that the Wotlk version does not apply your Mainhand damage range with offhand crits. I don't understand why its like this in SOD. Offhand crits simply adding their damage to the stack would be fine enough since it refreshes, but adding your MH damage AND refreshing is just gonna lead to degeneracy.

Feral druid should be the damage dealer with the highest bleed damage. It feels bad, to buff the bleed damage for everyone else, where our own bleeds simply suck!

Since the raid is 10man and you will rarely get more than one Paladin, why not get a rune that puts all the buffs (light, wisdom, light,etc) on everyone ?
@@Naeinsengimnida Greater Blessings exist after level 50, so that'd be kind of a wasted rune at that point, but even then those are 15 minutes long instead of 5; extending the length of the buffs makes them infinitely more useful since you don't need to reapply Blessing of Might every ten seconds.
Lot depends on a runes that we get, for boomkin that i main a lot of speculation is about Eclipse rune, but it will not work at Wrath style, cause Starfire is useless, they would need to make the most complicated rune by far to make it useful, i would rather have hurricane rune, that reduce cost and cd, make it basically blizzard type of spell, or of course, Rune of Starfall, make boomkin god of aoe once again ; p

You don't get 5/5 on both of those talents (crit dmg, stun chance+cast time reduction) without making sacrifices elsewhere though@@KevinDorsi
@@Pitrah druids right now are mainly running surge on their bars with no starfire and just heals because its so fucking broken. hopefully they nerf it and make it cost an actual amount of mana.
@Pitrah I'm not seeing what you mean unless you are taking 5/5 nature's grasp. You miss out on 3/3 mana reduction talent and only get 4/5 moonfury... not a big deal. Unless of course you are PvE focused and need to min max your DPS.
@@elfcontrolnot true. Druids doing this aren’t maximizing their dps. A 6 second cooldown on starsurge is a long time, having starfire DOT ticking along with moon dot is optimal for good dps.

@@Ge01O Well I had my human alliance one with aim to be a healer. Then remembered forsaken/undead get Devouring Plague in classic so rolled that just for spriest. Spriest isn't in a great place now, but with some rune love I think 40 they will kick.
STV PvP will be a way of life.
They should do a seal twist rune where on successful twist it costs no mana.
This is a pve video, but from a pvp perspective, affliction warlock meta is going to be insane ^^

Unless they add the wrist rune to let arms still get the dmg% increase there over CBR, and let 2h use frenzied assault on legs.. even with the current deep wounds in the game, it would only Sim comparably to DW fury, and the biggest reason for that is being able to stack deathwish with blood rage/berserker rage flagellation, which would make execute actually worthwhile again... if the targets can't be bled, you instantly lose 80+ dps on average in a 1min fight

For the mage farming notes-
Could there be a way to make aoe farming in dungeons require a higher amount of skill and more risky? Maybe buff the mobs someway that’s not impossible just really hard. Maybe these buffs appear when the average group lvl goes below a certain threshold? 🤷♂️

Keep in mind balance won't be able to afford all of their deeper talents and you'll have to make sacrifices in mana cost reduction and 1 point in either crit dmg%(likely where you're doing it), cast time reduction or 2% dmg increase.
The only reason to bring a Balance would be the spell crit aura, so they'd be 31/0/0. They could afford all their deeper talents. They won't take Improved Starfire because Wrath is free with Fury of Stormrage and entirely eliminates their mana problems even if it's a weaker filler.
Assuming Eclipse work with Starsurge (as all balancemains are hoping) then Starfire can be entirely skipped for cast time reduction indeed.
I don't think owlkin aura is worth bringing a balance for on its own, in a 10 man raid it's simply better to just bring a pumper instead.@@FisherTheOtter
@@Pitrah Agreed, and that's my point. If Moonkin Aura isn't a raid-wide DPS gain, then you won't bring Balance at all.
Rogues will be able to talent into 30% crit damge, 30% crit chance, and 20% damage for Backstab next phase. Pair that with a Gut Ripper and it’s going to be a good time!
im surprised you didnt mention Soul Link + Master Demonologist for warlock. it would give a flat 40% reduced damage taken to the warlock tank as long as the void walker is active. sounds pretty broken to me

Finally someone speaks out about the state of Holy Paladin. I swear I better get HEALING PLATE in Gnomergan and Holy Shock better have cooldown reduction when Heals are cast by the paladin and it better SPLASH heal nearby allies.
Yeah current holy pally healing is rough lmao 1 min is not nearly long enough for beacon and it cost a fair amount of mana (like 10% iirc) so it’s hard to just throw it out in the middle of a fight
I am hoping for a single do it all skill for all my characters so I can blast through the raid in 30 minutes instead of 33 minutes myself.

Personally as a rogue i was wondering if Wild Strikes will proc or from Sword Specialisation or visa versa?
Yes it will. But wildstrikes has pretty long internal cooldown, its really not all that good. So much so that some of my best logs in BFD have been without wildstrikes. I got 212 dps adverage last week 99% without a druid in the group.

@@svviftghost I've never liked dual wielding on warrior but when it's the best then it's the best. I did give ravager a go in the offhand in wrath while pulling trash and while it wasn't strong it also wasn't the worst thing. Get some good rng on crits and it would still be worth it. If it kind of worked at level 80 I can only imagine how it may be at level 60, or 40 for that matter.

If there's one rune I'm hoping will get added it's Misdirection for Hunters, and for it to be able to be cast on any 'friendly' target not just party/raid members. Just so I could 'accidentally' pull aggro from the Keepers in ashenvale onto the so called 'hardcore' leeches that watch the event but don't participate until the last 5k HP or so to get rep.

i dont think warriors will go a deep wounds build at level 40, as even though its very good right now, there is just simply sooooo much more in the fury tree. Next phase warrior gets deathwish, flurry, and bloodthirst, those 3 things will 100% be more valuable than wrath deep wounds.

Surprisingly they have been my least favorite to lvl P1, but everyone lovin' them it seems. I got a 25 for all classes except Sham [just hit 20] and lvl 1 Hunter lel.

I had the same question. I’m going rogue though. Smash face warrior is cool but rogue at least has interesting things to do beside hit button that lights up. Plus it take so little damage in the open world along with stealth it just feels more fun.
If you like doing wpvp and solo bgs I’d say rogue if you mainly care about pve then warrior imo

I play a mage. The only thing I'm asking for -- *_begging_* for -- is better mana regeneration while casting.
expanded mind and burnout could both use some tweaks and make for a good place to fix that. Burnout will be strong for fire but expanded mind seems underwhelming, both the dmg and regen could be constant effects and it would still be good and not crazy. Give it 5% haste and now we're cooking.
no mage buffs , first nerf selfheal then ask for buffs . ggs

20 years later and hunters still have a monopoly on ranged weapons. It’d be hard to change through runes, but man it’d be cool to see thrown get some use or another class for ranged.
And warrior rogues still roll on our weapons
Thrown weapons are generally faster, making them ideal for warriors/rogues kiting. I'm definitely planing on getting my whirlwind axe immediately on lvl 30, solo, by doing kite strats for the elementals, and cyclonian.

Reckoning is though talent to balance, in the time i have learn from experience, that is just one of this fun things to do 2-3 times, then swap to your little bit safe full deep ret, and do real damage atleast, instead of hope not die from crit for gain stack, and the stack u gain, if u turn back during the fight, drops immediatly, cmon boys,ignore reckoning, is an old stuff from the first 2 week of vanilla wow

its still going strong, not as bad in leveling zones, people still clear the raid all the time, def the most populated or second most populated wow version still, wotlk is however pretty dead.

I dont want 2h duel wielding wars, single hand duel wield will disappear unless they give them different benefits. I kinda want a RANGED war, another physical ranged dps to compete with hunters.

I'd place money that Ret's get Avenging Wrath next phase, they already perform kinda mid and with warriors getting Death Wish and Rogues getting Blade Flurry and Adrenaline Rush there's no way Ret's wont get it
I can't believe they haven't given us any real information yet. The patch comes out in less than two weeks. I feel they are really dropping the ball here, not building up any hype.
