it really is so different than the original version. My Husband and I played it from release for about 5 years, then had kids, etc. We find Retail so very different that I needed this tutorial to play because there were so many things we could not figure out. We find we really prefer Classic because we don' t like being railroaded.
Think about every life you squandered. They had a family and you ruined it for them. You are a terrible person and don't deserve happiness through video games. Pick occupations that don't kill people.
My main fear of getting into an MMO is not having anyone to play with. But I just started playing wow yesterday and im loving it.
This has been the story of my life.

This is an exceptional beginner's guide. You cover major game systems in a way that assumes the viewer has zero knowledge. Most experienced WoW creator-players assume that the viewer knows more than they necessary may.
If you've ever read Newcomer Chat you'll know that the game desperately needs an official guide of this caliber. Good one Quazii

I haven't played WOW since I was 13 and it first came out. It was one of my favorite ways to pass time. However I was sharing an account with my brother and he thought it would be funny to steal all my gold and belongings and leave my charter nude and broke. I ended up quitting after that. It wasn't until I realized WOW was still a thing 20 years later so I decided to get an account of my own. Now that I'm all grown up. I'm trying to remember what to do! I've missed so much. It was all overwhelming at first but this guide really helped. Thank you!

just a quick note on druid, when performing your role you will be spending time shapeshifted in to an animal form (except healer) melee - "cat" tank - "bear" ranged dps "moonkin" a bi pedal owl looking creature. the races have different variations on the base form.
and druid gets a aquatic form for faster swim speed, and travel form and flight form both are alternatives to mounts and flying mounts. something to keep in mind, so you dont get disappointed that you have to be in an animal form most of the time while playing (the character costumazation affects the look of the animals (colors, patters ect.), don't know to what extent now days tho, since i completed all the mage tower challenges, but i think they added if not all at least some version of the special forms you earned from beating that challenge back in the day)
This is exactly what i been looking for, i have had fun jumping around classic and retail (still haven't touched wotlk) but always hated asking these simple question that other players dont really answer. Thank you!

I've been playing WoW since Beta and this is a really phenomenal guide. You covered so much. One thing that sometimes confuses new players that I didn't notice you covering... you can't access some of the races when you first start playing. You will need to have leveled a character to 40 to access Races that are not able to be chosen when you first start the game. Also, you touched on character height a bit, but I'd also mention that short characters such as goblins and gnomes often end up under water in some areas where other characters can just walk through without swimming. It's not a game breaker, but it is an extra annoyance.

I've played HOTS and Hearthstone since release and I grew to love the lore of Warcraft through those games even to where I watched LOTS of lore videos even though I didn't play Warcraft. Been a Wow gamer circa 2007 to now… I’m from Australia so i play in the Oceana server. I love Wow I play for a few months and then i will have a break then come back.. i tend to chill at home now most days as I work 5 days a week so i just relax and play PvP and do achievements and farm mounts.. I am totally watching this video haha i might learn something new 😊 Dreadmaul / Belf / Horde - Rogue & Mage Level 70 toon currently.. Most fun memory was being part of a Singaporean Guild name “Mint” that was fun and made friends with some of the guildies.

I am a 14 main player, but wanted to learn about WoW and get an understanding about all the things/debates going on. So I am now starting to play WoW on the side, which is the only way of actually understand, what people are talking about. I started playing Retail WoW and so fare I like it, and enjoy it so, who know´s, where all this will end xD. For now I am taking it very slow by questing, and really not going in the direction of - I have to do this now, just slow without any stress xD.
Your video are very, very, very good. I may have to return to it from time to time, as an two hour video is very hard to remember at my age haha.

Oh man this was so helpful! I played from 2005-2019 and had to take a hiatus. Hopefully will be jumping in again in the next month or two. Is BC Classic not available anymore? I was assuming that each version of Classic would stick around indefinitely.

I started WoW back when they were running commercials of it in tv. I want to restart everything and grind and get all of the gear I want,, all the way to the new expansion coming. How should I start?
Just as a sidenote if you are starting on retail, the massive drawbacks of reviving at the graveyard after dying (the debuff) are now limited to just 60 seconds, so it's really no big deal if you don't wanna run back to your body. Your gear still takes a beating though, so if you're broke maybe it would be better to run back. On lower levels repairs are cheap however. Still, keep this in mind for when you die while at max level.

Wasn't able to select the starting zone. You reccomended the ship wreck but I want to see the lore of the race I picked. How can I select the race starting zone?

Of course! I learned about setting up and unbinding/binding some keys and camera views that I never knew about haha. So obvious. I’m also a clicker in game, and I don’t actually know how to memorize my keys haha. Definitely felt like a noob re-learning. I also appreciate breaking the sections all apart in the editing. i played WoW many years ago and loved it. I've tried getting back into it but its so confusing. is there much of a difference between Classic and Retail?
I started playing when classic came out, I've been thinking of getting into retail but I don't know where to start as when WOTLK came out pretty much everything before that became obsolete the bis was no longer bis and people were telling me not to worry about running those older dungeons. With retail where should I start because it seems running deadmines and sfk doesn't seem relevant.
i quit in shadowlands and havent been back since is it worth it?

Good summary mate. The boundaries of entry can be overwhelming for a game with so much history. It is fascinating to me how the game has changed overtime to accommodate players. Hey Quazzi, always love your contants, Do you know how I can enable friendly player HP bar inside of M+?
If you mean their HP bars above their heads then shift+v is the default
Don't skip the cinematics! Almost all are amazing, and had a lot of work put into them- and you can tell.

You probably mention it in the video..but I'm only a little way through.. Can you start a character in Classic and play all the way through.. or do you have to start a new character when you get to the newer/newest releases?
To play the newer expansions you need a character in retail, they are completely separate games :)

@@tri0xin some things change with expansions, like in cataclysm the world broke and a bunch of maps changed too, etc., but other things remain the same

Love your content! But lately when I try to click your Dragonflight Clean UI links, the site loads and menu works but it's empty. There are no install instructions or weak aura links visible :(
Use another browser, or clear your cache it will work - site works on my end just checked
