Was this a HUGE Mistake?... Escaping LA to The Angeles National Forest for a day trip

- Sometimes I find living in the big city just becomes so overwhelming and I need to get away from Los Angeles. We took a Day Trip up to Angeles National Forest back to Buckhorn Campground which is only a 45 min drive out of LA and took a break for a few hours. We treated this like a camping trip, minus the tents and set up our cook station, sink station etc. We also decided to take our dog Stella up to the mountains with us. She's a very reactive dog (as a lot of German Shepherds are) and her GSD instincts definitely kicked in up there, which we had to deal with. It was a great trial run to see how she would act if we were to do a longer camping trip. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be taking her back up with us again, but we'll see how time will tell.

Besides that, I spent some time while up there taking product photos and checking out The Sparkbox Portable Power Station which is similar to the EcoFlow River Pro and Duracell Powerblock 500 that I had made a comparison video of before. The Sparkbox is an interesting device, but more of that to come in a future video soon.
We also took a tour of Buckhorn Campground and went exploring in the dead end remote sites 36, 37, 38. We may try and stay at these next time we come up, because they are really private and very natural feeling. Later on we sat around the campfire after making some burgers and had a great time playing guitar to some tunes before something crazy happened. Later on we saw some foxes on the way down Angeles Crest, but the quality of the footage was so bad we left it out. Still really cool to see though!

Great video of your trip. Thanks for the detailed view of Buckhorn Campground and the tip about campsites 36 37 and 38. I camped there 3 years ago and have been aching to go back and it's great to see what it looks like now in real time.
When I was a teenager back in the 90's, My father and I, and his friends were camping in number 38. When night fell and we were around the campfire, a bear came into the campsite, opened the cooler in the picnic table, and grabbed the the grocery bag with the steak in it and took off. Now they have bear proof containers at the parking spots.
Saut- really pro done-see you on my side, TheLynchBurgers~ 😮
