- In this Video, I mod and upgrade a nerf magstrike as-10. This video shows in depth, step by step how to remove the air restrictors, and remove the safety that prevents tigger pulls when clips arent inserted. I also show internals and what tools you need.

The mag strike is beautiful, the only problem is that the tank should be able to hold more air then it does, I’m excited for them to re-release it for the icon series
i just got the icon and its horrible, it shoots like 4 darts and stops.....the problem the OG magstrike has but even worse. my old magstrike works better .
I found an Iron Man licenced Magstrike at Toys r us near where I lived for half off because somebody returned it without any darts. Turned out it also had a busted connector from the reservoir to the pump and it bled the pressure. I got most of that cleared up. It still leaks a little, but with 12 pumps it consistently shoots all 10 darts. It's my primary for any nerf wars I go to, and nobody else can use it.
@ivel48 Thanks, and i know the difference, but i dont think of it as fully automatic like a stampede. I think of it as less than that because of the ludicous amount of pumping. Regardless, appreciate the comment
this is my dream gun, its air powered, its full auto and it sounds cool!

You can bypass the dry fire lock by pressing down on the wheel under the air hole where the clip goes.

I wouldn't call them AR's because those 'pegs' are there for a reason (so I found out so kiddies don't put rocks down it LOL). The peg removals would just allow the use of streamlines. Although I believe by doing that you'll get more air flow thus 'increasing' range. It's the theory, but it's not significant.

Probably after I do the co2 cartridge mod.
Its in tiny sharpie marks for myself. I explain everything in the video for people to use in mods.

the pressure holds in the gun so you can press the trigger for shorter amounts of time and spread the clip out over a few shots

You won't have to worry about that, the Magstrike fires via a release valve that is activated when firing the gun. So no worries, your gun will be perfectly safe after these mods.

I think ultimate should apply more than the basic stuff such as, removing air restrictors and the dry fire thing, however this is appreciated Idk if anyone else has this issue but how about getting it to shoot the orange bullets? because mine just become lodged about half and inch outwards. Might fix it by removing the air restrictors and I have't actually tried yet

My magstrike fricking broke! I pumped it like, 5 times, and then heard a huge pop, and now it doesnt pump anymore! I am getting a RF20 first chance I get, I am really dissapointed, since it has an air release so it isnt supposed to pop.
When did you get a Magstrike?
Also, are you going to do a range test with it?
BTW, I didn't see any labelling...where was that?

You mentioned a CO2 mod, and since this is an old video, and there is no CO2 Magstrike mod in your channel, I assume you never made one?

I've got a magstirke that has one part mssing and one part broke. It's the little orange flap that pushes the magazine up. I've been trying to find a measurement of that part so that I can manufacture a replacement, since there are none that I can find in all the various modding articles for the magstrike. If someone knows where to find that information or is able to measure one and send me the dimensions for it I would be grateful. Thanks.

@EMPOLEONBLAST Thats not a magstrike, Its a hornet. They look kind of similar but they are different blasters.
You can easily mod a magstrike to shoot 2 clips.
I bought 3 used working magstrikes and 2 of them broke on the first day... I have the „icon“ ones and they almost look the same on the inside...

are you sure that cutting out the air restrictor doesn't brake the mag because last time i tried taking out the the same thing in a nerf pistol it broke it

when i took out the ars its more powerful but it only shoots 7 or 8 darts

someone gave me this og magstrike for free. coz it aint working. i open it up and as xpected. the rubber bladder is rip off. gonna find a tire tube to wrap it around and see if it work again.
