I know this is late, but I think you’d always want to line it. Even if your fabric is dark, you’d want lining for modesty reasons…so you can’t see outlines of everything

I have my measure but I don’t know how much fabric to remove when creating a snug swimwear with stretch fabric.
How do you know when to line it? I've got some dark blue spandex but I'm not sure if I should line it or not.
