@@WinterStones depends on which one. No one would say that about my grandma on my ma’s side because she’s an absolute angel everybody wants as their grandma. As for the one on my pa’s side, everyone knows she’ll end up in the worst afterlife there is. If there are 7 layers of hell she might be in the 8th one.
@@WinterStones They are literally the embodiment of all the horrible things their "empires" did. They cherished that history (and that violence). I love the show as a piece of fiction, but if there is indeed a hell, they must be in it (according to the scriptures, since what they did and condone is horrible).

Hmm... Quite a news.
@@Wearealltogether1428 it’s alleged
There’s a fair distance between Sandringham and Windsor where they each lived, respectively, and the Countess of Mountbatten (Penny Knatchbull) lived at Sandringham too, and attended his funeral, even tho’ it was in lockdown and only the closest were allowed. That was at his request of course. So I think separation came a bit earlier than death. The Windsors are very good at this illusion. People believe it.
There’s always so charming about Matt Smith’s acting. They look perfect together, very well portrayed
I love how Philip always looks at Elizabeth and makes her smile 🥰
Claire Foy hands down best portrayal of the Queen on the crown so far
Yes
Yea
Totally agree.
For sure❤
True...
I have always believed that Prince Philip and the queen had a loving and fun relationship and that it only grew as they got older. They were madly in love from day one they were madly in love up until his end. And the Queen will on love him.
What rubbish, they didn't live together for years. She at Windsor and he at Sandringham.
@@lizziebkennedy7505 why
@@noone-bp1eu That’s how the English aristocracy do it. They have affairs but keep the marriage story going. Philip was unfaithful in the first decade or so with lots of women, but in the last few decades he had one woman who drove carriages with him and lived at Sandringham, whereas HM the Queen is always at Windsor. His mistress was at his funeral when very few people could be because of COVID. She is Penelope Knatchbull Countess of Mountbatten. Couples that are close and loving don’t live apart.
You are over romanticizing their relationship. It was nothing like that.
The comment section is a fascinating study on how reality and fiction have blended so well in our minds.
I'd like to get a quick lesson, how much of these moments are genuinely loving and true and how much of them are simply to glorify and romanticize their IRL marriage and love life?
Reality is always a little uglier that we like to believe in the good of things even if they aren't true. The catch 22 is that if we base our focus on a fabrication instead of truth, we're drowned in the same negativity we try to avoid by looking to the prettier things.
that's exactly what I think every time I watch scenes of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. People really like to simplify them by simply dividing them into "good" and "evil". It's much more complicated than that but people are too lazy to really educate themselves
So we aren't allowed to believe people have happy loving marriage's ? ok ok
@@cordeliacuthbert no we just don’t give that much of a fuck about random peoples lives like u do 😭😭 I watch the show but some of us actually have lives beyond it
She's gonna miss him a lot.
Well, duh.
Yeah because he has been with her for so many years it must be hard for her to be without him
@@pacificalilac8637 My thoughts exactly. Good or bad, it is like losing a limb. Your foot may hurt, but you still miss it, if they cut it off. I'm not saying that they had a bad marriage, just saying it doesn't matter after that long.
Indeed. The poor lady. I feel very sorry for her.
well she has joined him now😿

They're together again. ❤️
A long life and a long marriage what a powerful thing to have that they both had the thing we all hope for to have something that the Queen and Prince had. They did unspeakable things to help Britain with the ruins of WW2 and trying to build Britain back up decade after decade

Smoking da pack
Hahaha
He was 99? Holy shit.
‘Watch out’ followed by the kiss, wasn’t that too adorable 😍😍
a young engaged couple to be married very soon, it is an adorable scene
Their story is remarkable. How they each fit so well in the other’s life (Philip looking to be a part of something stable/build a family, Elizabeth looking for that unicorn of a man who could support her different roles and public leadership) but still had to make personal adjustments and sacrifices for the sake of duty. Goes to show that everyone, even a Queen and her Prince, have to navigate major changes in life. Everyone has their cross to bear.
I feel like Philip made her responsibilities bearable. There’s so many actual clips of him making her giggle when she’s nervous or appears tired. I’m so glad they had each other for all those years. Separated for only a short time. She promised him that she would go on living and she did. But now together again. God bless them.
I think we sometimes forget that our parents, grandparents, great grandparents, and so on were young once. They have their stories and passions, even secrets, of their own.
Matt Smith can make explosive chemistry with a freakin curtain and make us mortal ladies swoon.
I like the way he kisses her and made her remember she was a human wife and woman that could be aroused by her husband. She was always so stiff. Could barely appreciate a neck kiss by her husband. Or a sexy “stolen” kiss by her husband. She was a married woman, for heaven’s sake, she should’ve have no problem kissing her husband or showing him affection if that’s what they wanted to do.
they couldn't do it in public, it was just a rule and I think she was always a bit shy .. .
And then in the kiss on the neck scene she seemed to like it… she just doesn't always want to show it lol
You do remember she’s a real living person right? People discussing this sort of details of her personal life is just too rude.
@@ParanoidOwlet I get what you're saying but under these types of videos, I think about the things we know in the context of the show. Elizabeth and Philip are characters, not real people in this instance. I know it's a whole complicated issue but I try to separate those in my mind.
According to those in the know, she was very frisky behind the scenes, insatiable Prince Phillip said (he was never discreet).
Now I hope they are finally together again and happy in peace.

Idk if the queen and prince Phillip ever watched The Crown, but if they did, even if they disliked most of it, I´m sure they loved the wedding scene.
The queen watched it on a projector 😌
@@wowitzkate Rich people🥲
Well, as informed by The Crown, the media-prince of the family was in fact Philip! Televising the coronation was his idea, if not, he most strongly supported it?! Geez, imagine his opposition, the Queen probably wouldn't have insisted. What of their sons' and grandsons' royal weddings?? And Philip must have loved the latest state of occasion (I do apologize for any insensitivity here :o)! Just imagine, their timeline of deaths reversed (i.e. Covid restrictions) ... Hum, If you are answerable only to God, mybe you will be fine. ...
Royal couples in history have always fascinated me. They’re seen as fairytale. They have this ‘properness’ about them, yet obvious love and have normalcy that any relationship goes through, yet is often hidden coz monarchy are to be mysterious and above the messiness of healthy or toxic human interaction. Of course behind closed doors as normal, they row, they are passionate, they are ugly and beautiful, have humour, have children not just for heirs, go through rough patches, and especially in situations where the woman is higher in power, compromise and acceptance/rebellion of one’s place.
God rest Prince Philip.
Hm, not really. They keep the “beautiful fairy tale love story” to the public, but privately they’re mostly unfaithful. It was normal for the king to have multiple women and for the couple to live apart for years. The marriage is for show and to have children with a “bloodline blessed by god”, but other than that... nope it’s not a fairy tale.
RIP Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth! God Save the King Charles! Hail the Monarchy!

In the middle of the night, then yes, there is.
Nope
He challenged her all the time, even before they got married, and that was one of the reasons she chose him even that Queen Mary, King George VI, and The Queen Mother did not like him and prefered a richier man for the future Queen. One of the ways he challenged her was everytime he kissed her around other people: even that there were only the employs around then she prefered that he kissed her when they were totally alone, but he kissed her when he wanted no matter how many people were around then. All the other rich men her family wanted for her would never kiss her around other people and for sure they made her feel bored and that is why she married him.
This is a movie... not real life
Good analysis. A romantic man who is unafraid of embarrassment and social norms can win a women's heart.
My God Claire Foy during the vows the acting is AMAZING ❤
She married him in 1947, and stayed with him throughout the rough and the good times till he died. She risked everything to be with him, and stood up for him. They proved the naysayers wrong. That takes guts to do.
74 years of marriage, man she’s immortal. I wish I had that kind of love, hoping the universe responds.
She was his job, his duty to crown and country, a mission he full filled to perfection until the end.
Love it when they were taking film (cam)..
Uplifting words of Philip to the Queen whenever she needs it
Okay, i realize he's just acting here, but I genuinely think Matt Smith would make a good dad irl. The footage I've seen of him with kids is adorable.
Just cute love unfortunately we can't say the same for our princess diana
Thankfully we can for William and Kate
Different circumstances. Elizabeth picked Philip herself, having known him since she was 13 and Philip was exposed to the royal life so he knew what to expect. There was also only a five year age gap. Diana was picked by advisors, was a totally different person to Charles, had a huge age gap, had no experience with the royal life and married after a quick courtship. William and Kate also knew each other for a very long time, allowing them to determine they are compatible and for Kate to understand what she was getting into. Plus they have common interests. Something like 1 in 3 marriages in the West ends in divorce so it would be really unusual if none of the royals got divorced.
Cute love? Did you watch the show? He cheated on her constantly. They stayed together out of duty because as queen she could not get a divorce.
@@idemandapeach really i didn't knew about that
@@idemandapeach The show is not gospel. It is a fictional account thaat does get things wrong. There were rumours he had flings= may or may not be true. But it was in an age where it was considered "OK" for men to have flings and it was never anything serious. What is good about them is that they worked hard at the marriage and dealt with the issues, rather than giving in.
"Or she could get on her knees." Oh my!! 😳
I can't believe myself that a year apart we would lose both of these two beautiful people for forever

Ok so I’m the only one that just loved the last scene. Mainly just because they took something so regal as the royal family and were brave enough to add in such a reckless statement to humanize them.
RIP QUEEN Elizabeth II 😔💔👑
Now this is true love in the truest sense. Loyalty. Commitment. Obligation. All melt into one cohesive love.
why is young elizabeth so much more loving than older elizabeth
because she was young, more free-spirited and a bit naive
Keep in mind that everybody thought that King George VI was expected to live a long life, which was supposed to give Elizabeth plenty of time to be just a Princess, Wife, and mother.
A lot of things changed when her father died.
She had 4 kids. She was tired!
The first answer is what comes from the heart. " that's certainly what they think "
The scene at 5.07 captures their relationship perfectly. The Queen was a naturally shy person who would have found all of the attention difficult to cope with if it hadn’t been for Philip’s calm strength and support.

I can’t stop crying about her death. I live her in Ohio across the pond and my heart aches. She wasn’t just her majesty the queen, but to all of us she was like our grandmother. Very difficult to think these 2 are cute or adorable when you remember they are literally related 😅
