Billy.... create a "History-Biography-Gallery" next to the library. a small room with all your findings, pictures that you have found AND.... pictures of you, your friends, your family and your 80 years old father who is still going strong and helping with this project.
Congratulations Billy. It’s not overkill to make a building last a few more hundred years. It’s already a few hundred years old so what an achievement. Your family must be very proud of you. also, well done to Yannis and your dad. Love watching the progress.👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️🇦🇺
It would be wonderful when completed to put a tall Christmas tree right in the middle, as tall as possible. Decorated as it would have been done a hundred years ago.
Wow, just realized I have been watching your channel for approximately 5 years now! Well done! Keeping my attention for so long! Just goes to show you how interesting I find your projects and your family and friends.
Where is Rick? I haven't seen him for awhile. I hope he's over helping Michael. I'd hate to think he's gone. I always loved seeing his beautiful smile, and that twinkle in his eyes. I'd love to hear Mick say 'let's crack on' more often. This project is a team project. Not a one man project. I'm impressed with talent each and everyone involved is. It's what is making it so amazing, and fun seeing each person shine. It's hard to believe Mick is 80 y/o and still doing all he does. That's some great love for his sons. And daughter. Such a wonderful family. ❤
Another great job everyone! I'm closer in age to Billy's father, and you are an inspiration, Mick, to this senior. There is still lots of steam in our engines!!
That little power saw amazes me going through steel beams almost like a hot knife goes through butter!!! Great work guys..can’t wait to see Phil add his skills tomorrow!!!😊
FANTASTIC I remember when you purchased the library in pieces and then figured out how to put the library back together. 😂 I’m terribly excited about this segment of the convent renovation!!!
You gave me an idea. Maybe we could do a book drive for the library when it's closer to completion.

I had the same idea! Not children's books though, but an historical romance that won us (Portugal) our only literature Nobel prize and it's called the Convent's memorial, based on the construction of one of our convents
When I removate old buildings I set string center lines and do all of my measurements off of them. It's like building a ship as nothing is straight other than a centerline. Hope this info helps.
Great music eh! I was monitoring my B/P when I started to watch this video. It was medium before I started. The 2nd reading I did a few min after the music started dropped. 😊 My systolic dropped by 20. I need to have Billy's videos playing when I go back to the docs. 😅
Whicjh makes me think.... I don't remember having heard any other time Yanis talking than when he says : "Lets crack on" . But There he says it with outmost charm !
I grew up in a house with a wood burning fireplace and have always had one until several years ago. We now have an electric fireplace that even gives off heat. It looks like a real fireplace but is safer and we don't have to carry any logs. The only problem is that when the power goes off and it does that often in my part of Canada then we don't get any heat from the fireplace.
Great question.. Billy has probably thought about it already? He is an artist.. Are the windows facing South,North, East or West? Wouldn’t that make a difference? Maybe heavy draperies could help, drawn when needed?
Yeah, the beams are in and the floors begin. I know you want it as perfect as possible but the walls are so old a little wonky is to be expected. Wonky is where the building get's it's personality
Have you thought of repurposing the vertical oak studs/wall beams as the balusters for the gallery railings? You could turn them on a lathe and it might be easier to use them for the railings instead of trying to put them back together in another wall section.
Am I the only one who sees Big Foot's shadow on the wall 8:07 helping carry a bucket of cement🤣🤣 8:07 Love Yanis saying: "let's crack on"! Amazing work everone!!
So curious about where you will be sourcing your books from and what general direction the contents of the library will have? Will they be mostly in English and what subjects or genres will you concentrate on? I imagine there are a lot of collections that can be bought from estate sales in the UK. What a fascinating, epic project! This town will have the most sumptuous events and culture venue in France!
Nice you know someone who can weld that will help you no end.Nice job as always wit Yanis and your Dad. .You must be excited Billy with the build and getting on with the next stage
Wow was it that long ago you bought the library!?! Boy time flies Billy. Love seeing your progress in these projects! It is ALWAYS interesting to watch Billy and your photography skills just keep getting better! 🇨🇦😊💕👋🏼
You are so genuine Billy. As a person and also in regard to how you are renovating with such respect to the history and original architecture of the building. Pity not all those who have the privilege to own a chataeu or other historical building are like you.
I know you and the team are excited about the library creation. You are great at choosing finishes and I can’t wait to see it completed. Be safe and crack on!
Not sure if you know but those beams are too thick to surface weld and need the ends to be angled to a v like point for proper penetration. Otherwise surface welds won't go all the way through and will crack and break apart.
I remember there was some discussion when Billy bought the library if it had come from a Rothschild Chateau im really looking forward to seeing them fit them into the room❤❤❤
Watching Yannis cut the metal beam is amazing. I think we are watching a master craftsman in the making, his cuts are so straight, even with a line drawn. I will be sorry to see the floor covered. It has had so much thrown at it, including 200 year old oak beams and still looks in perfect condition. 🙂
Maybe you've already explained, but does the wood of the library require any sort of treatment prior to installing? I'm thinking variation of humidity, preventative measures against woodworm or carpenter ants, that sort of thing. It's going to be gorgeous.
the time Simon has been gone wet so quickly! Your crew has worked incredibly hard on all the projects Billy. The change in a few short weeks has been amazing! You must be so pleased to see your vision taking shape!
Exciting times are coming. The framework is done, get it welded, then time to watch the magic. Billy, your dad and Yanis work so great together it is amazing. Looking forward to Simon and Alex both being back very soon. Have a great day
A question I’ve been meaning to ask. How come those steel beams are no longer needed. Surely they were put in place to support the floor. Apologies if you have covered this previously. Best wishes from Yorkshire
Fantastic - even I’m excited about joists and noggins Billy you make it so interesting and if the library is anything like the kitchen I can’t wait to see it ❤
If Yannis ever has to apply for a new job, he can submit this series as a resume
I can't believe your father is still able to work as hard as does blessings to him 🎉🙏
Billy.... create a "History-Biography-Gallery" next to the library. a small room with all your findings, pictures that you have found AND.... pictures of you, your friends, your family and your 80 years old father who is still going strong and helping with this project.
That’s a great idea!
The showcase should be in the reception area. Close to the front dest so it can be watched

Great suggestion! It's kind of like last year's drive to get the organ playable by Christmas.
That 80 year old man shoveling rock!?!?! Just HOW??? Those two are mythical creatures. Yanis and Dad are impressive! Wow 💪🏻💪🏻
Wow, just realized I have been watching your channel for approximately 5 years now! Well done! Keeping my attention for so long! Just goes to show you how interesting I find your projects and your family and friends.
Me too!
Ditto!!
Likewise ❤ from the very first vlog.
Time fles in the blink of an eye doesn't it. ❤
Yup!
Wonderful job reusing those I beams. That really took a great leap of faith and imagination.
What're your plans for the wonky beams in the reception and dining areas? More steel?
Where is Rick? I haven't seen him for awhile. I hope he's over helping Michael. I'd hate to think he's gone. I always loved seeing his beautiful smile, and that twinkle in his eyes. I have asked about Rick a few times and nobody answers so I guess noone knows. I hope he's not gone either
Another great job everyone! I'm closer in age to Billy's father, and you are an inspiration, Mick, to this senior. There is still lots of steam in our engines!!
As a book lover and collector, I am beyond excited by the library. Those beautiful shelves! Thank you for the video!
That little power saw amazes me going through steel beams almost like a hot knife goes through butter!!! Great work guys..can’t wait to see Phil add his skills tomorrow!!!😊
Agreed!
We think the same thing every time we watch that saw cut through the steel. What brand of saw is that?
FANTASTIC I remember when you purchased the library in pieces and then figured out how to put the library back together. 😂 I’m terribly excited about this segment of the convent renovation!!!
The library is going to be stunning, well done Billy and team xxx💕💕💕👏👏👏
I can hardly believe it’s been 4 years since you bought the library fittings. This is going to be grand!!
Yannis looks so professional now. He looks confident and happy. He’s with a great team.
All of you are truly amazing.
I can't wait. This is such a beautiful addition to the convent project.
Noggins! Floor joists! Sounds familiar…… 😁
😂😂😂 yup
Will you accept a couple books from me for your library? Children's books written in English from the early 30's.
I hope they do, that’s a great gift 🎉
You gave me an idea. Maybe we could do a book drive for the library when it's closer to completion.
I had the same idea! Not children's books though, but an historical romance that won us (Portugal) our only literature Nobel prize and it's called the Convent's memorial, based on the construction of one of our convents
Greetings, everyone!
Please may we all remember to LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!
It makes a difference!
Blessings, all.
Yes please it does make a difference, let’s help Billy realize his dream, we can get him to 500k in no time, PLEASE SHARE THE LOVE , friends❤❤❤❤❤

OMG who is chosing this awesome music pieces... My heart
Great music eh! I was monitoring my B/P when I started to watch this video. It was medium before I started. The 2nd reading I did a few min after the music started dropped. 😊 My systolic dropped by 20. I need to have Billy's videos playing when I go back to the docs. 😅
I loved the music, too.
Billy does 🎉
is Alex Back doing the videos ….. or was this Billy editing …… so hard to tell ….. you both are amazing video-ogrophers
We have 2 fake log burner electric fires really nice and not expensive to run love what your doing
Whicjh makes me think.... I don't remember having heard any other time Yanis talking than when he says : "Lets crack on" . But There he says it with outmost charm !

The missing plaster at 8:25 looks like Bigfoot with a cup of coffee or tea!
Nah, that's a Yeti...with a Yeti
I can't unsee that now 🤣🤣
I came here to say that too. 😅
Posted it before I saw your post 😉 so I am not the only one who thinks so.
I thought so too!
Where is Rick? No mention of him in future plans? Looking forward to seeing the new construction going up and another room completed!
I sure am missing that gorgeous, ear to ear smile, with a glint in his eyes! Such a happy guy!
The light coming in is superb, but will it not be detrimental to the books ?
Will the outside windows need to be tinted 🤔
Great question.. Billy has probably thought about it already? He is an artist..
Are the windows facing South,North, East or West? Wouldn’t that make a difference?
Maybe heavy draperies could help, drawn when needed?
Thank you for explaining your plans. It will be amazing. It will be great to have Simon back. 💕
I rarely leave comments, that said I am excited to see the library completion
Yeah, the beams are in and the floors begin. I know you want it as perfect as possible but the walls are so old a little wonky is to be expected. Wonky is where the building get's it's personality
The video shots from above really shows the magnitude of project.

Hoping Yannis is very proud of his achievements. It’s wonderful that you are giving him the chance to shine. ❤
Even Mick has become more comfortable in front of the camera!
Am I the only one who sees Big Foot's shadow on the wall 8:07 helping carry a bucket of cement🤣🤣 8:07
Love Yanis saying: "let's crack on"!
Amazing work everone!!
Awesome job! Looking forward to seeing it come all together. I'm glad you're doing the fireplace, it's going to look great.

We would love to see the bedrooms and on suites furnished at the chateau that you worked on lately.
Great job guys.! Awesome Camera work Billy.!
You are so genuine Billy. As a person and also in regard to how you are renovating with such respect to the history and original architecture of the building. Pity not all those who have the privilege to own a chataeu or other historical building are like you.
An electric fireplace would be beautiful in the library and safe.
Bloody Miracle. Great work gang. Sleep well Billy. May your dreams be of the dark ladies that walk the corridors at night.
You want him to have nightmares? Why? Sweet dreams Billy of what you want with pleasure and love.
Billy, you are a man of vision and precision!
I know you and the team are excited about the library creation. You are great at choosing finishes and I can’t wait to see it completed. Be safe and crack on!

i am looking forward growing old watching your videos of the renovation
No wonky rooms here. Noggins. Colloquialism’s we American’s infrequently use. Happy Monday. Mr. P you are amazing for being 80 years young.
I am missing seeing Gwendolyn ‘s sweet smile❤ Was hoping to see her at the birthday party , hopefully she will make an appearance soon🥰
I remember there was some discussion when Billy bought the library if it had come from a Rothschild Chateau im really looking forward to seeing them fit them into the room❤❤❤

Very exciting, see you guys tomorrow!
My brain gets wobbley thinking about all there is left to do...but I know you guys will make it all a reality soon enough.
I can’t wait for Simon to get back and the progress on the library to kick in to high gear.
Can`t wait to see how wonderful it`s gonna look, once it`s finished
Honestly, honestly, I think you should just keep the tile floor. It's beautiful. I spend the money on wood.
Maybe you've already explained, but does the wood of the library require any sort of treatment prior to installing? I'm thinking variation of humidity, preventative measures against woodworm or carpenter ants, that sort of thing. It's going to be gorgeous.
Watched you from the start brilliant 🤗👍
Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤❤
So looking forward to seeing the build will end up making an amazing beautiful Library 😊❤
The sound of that saw cutting the steel beam must be loud! You must be use to it by now.
Hey, have you noticed that there’s a silhouette of a Saskatchewan/Bigfoot on the wall of the gallery pretty cool a great job Billy and your team
Great imagination! 😂😂😂 8:07 mins
Being married to a man from Saskatchewan I’ll be the first to point out that you meant Sasquatch 😂
I noticed that the other day when Billy was looking for spooky stuff.
the time Simon has been gone wet so quickly! Your crew has worked incredibly hard on all the projects Billy. The change in a few short weeks has been amazing! You must be so pleased to see your vision taking shape!
So proud of all of you
Loved it when you said shopping .( Big smile ) for noggins things like that 😊😊❤❤
Amazing to see it coming together.
Exciting times are coming. The framework is done, get it welded, then time to watch the magic. Billy, your dad and Yanis work so great together it is amazing. Looking forward to Simon and Alex both being back very soon. Have a great day
There are some quality electric log fireplaces on the market.
Great work, all of you
Awesome job!!! Billy and his vision brilliant x
I am here for the music. Great work Billy and team. Congratulations on all you have done.
I love seeing your dad helping you and yanis is a tremendous help for you
10:12
Great job on this part of the redo.
Has Rick gone back to working at the Chateau?
Can't wait to see all the windows redone. Going to be an awesome room.
Loved the drone shots and music today ❤
I wonder, are you still working on the kitchen in the château?
Love the videos😊
I believe Michael is in charge of that project as well as the Chateaux projects in general, and filming for his channel going forward.
@@3Goddesses333 Maybe Rick is there with Michael?
A question I’ve been meaning to ask. How come those steel beams are no longer needed. Surely they were put in place to support the floor. Apologies if you have covered this previously. Best wishes from Yorkshire
the plaster outline looks like silhouette of Bigfoot on the wall billy.
Yanis so honored to witnessed your develop as a skilled construction professional!
Billy, sometime the music you chose is so beautiful that I get goosebumps listening to it. Thank you!
Thank you for the wonderful video!
Amazing work.
I think a combi laser level would help tremendously when squaring up structures etc.
When Simon gets back I'd like to hear what he has to say about Yannis's plastering job of the chateau's kitchen!
12:19 Great job watch every video❤
Looking Great! Well done
Much love and appreciation to you all 🙏❤️
oooo, love the use of the drone today. Great shots
Beautiful job. ❤
Billy, you are amazing!
So exciting. Looking forward to seeing the library start to go together.
Such wonderful soothing music. I love it.
Wonderful!
You need some type of pulley system set up on the scaffolding to lift up the heavy buckets of concrete. Yannis's arms must ache at the end of the day.
Love your vision Billy… thinking big is one of the many reasons I follow your channel. Brilliant.
what I want to see: that Coffee Brewing behemoth spewing coffee!
Can't wait...Your the BEST Billy! GREAT job boys! LOVE from Chicago
5 min in ….. are those birds in the background ……. Love the light coming through the windows
Fantastic - even I’m excited about joists and noggins Billy you make it so interesting and if the library is anything like the kitchen I can’t wait to see it ❤
