Very nice job looking very good;;!👍💯👌
Thanks 👍
Wow! What craftsmanship! The detail is incredible! I like that you combined traditional carving with power carving, I believe both have their place in what you do. Great job!
Thank you! I appreciate the fact that you enjoy both the power and traditional carving. I agree that they both have their place! I definitely prefer traditional, but gouges are expensive and my collection is still very small. The power carving really helps fill the gaps in my collection. lol.
Well, Im just a beginner. I just bought an engraving tool almost 23 days ago and keep practising. I feel lucky to discover your channel. Relief carving looks more attractive for me and I really loved your works. Thank you to inspiring me ❣️

@@ChiseledOutdoorsCC hi, you mention doing some of the fine detail on the feathers with a dremel flat bottom bit, can you give me the details of that bit? Thanks in advance
Maybe this one ? us.dremel.com/en_US/products/-/show-product/accessories/dremel-199-carving-bit
👏👌👍👍👍
I know what you mean by never racking steps for the cardinal. My first carving was a cane, which i use everyday, and I was so nervous about how the Owl was going to turn out. I started with the same cutter for the feathers but I wanted narrower cuts so I ended up using diamond bit for them. Much happier with that decision.
I really love how your carving came out. I especially liked how your leaves came out.
Keep up the good work, Thanks for sharing
Thank you! A diamond bit huh, I'll have to try that for my next one! What kind of diamond bit did you use?
I got them from Amazon.

Oh nice, those are the same ones I use.
Nice
Thanks
Really great work.
I've been looking at the oz plus at treeline but that's BIG money.
Are you using glued basswood or a solid piece? Your tools look nice and sharp, a skill i desperately need to work on. I don't have a great set but they do work.
Again, beautiful job
Thank you! This particular project was one solid piece of white pine, but I have glued up several projects before to get the size I need.
Excellent! You spent twenty hours carving this piece, while I spent the same twenty hours watching RUclips videos... I did build a summerhouse this year, but my aim for 2021 is to get carving!
Thanks! I wish you the best in your carving journey!
@@ChiseledOutdoorsCCThanks for your comment. I spent this morning making a house sign from pine, using a craft knife and some very cheap and cheerful gouges to cut around the letters. It's not finished yet, and it's not very good either, but it was still time well spent. I must now buy some decent chisels and a good carving knife!
Any time spent carving is a good day!
It’s amazing work that what you doing but how long time need to adjust experience like this thank you
Thank you
You are using white pine?? great grain, looks almost like basswood.
Yeah it is white pine. It’s very similar to basswood as far as carving goes. It might be a bit more grainy but it still carved really nice. It’s much easier for me to find too which is nice. Lol.
You do wonderful work. Can you tell me where you got the pattern to trace. I would love to attempt to do what you did.
Thanks! I created the pattern myself.
when stoning the feathers what bit do you use so that it is not fussy? Do you use a low speed?
I just use diamond burr bits. You can find them on Amazon. I carve white pine which I find doesnt create the fuzzies as bad compared to basswood.
Do you have a template of this carving for sale?
que tipo de madera es?
white pine
What type of wood is this?
This is carved out of white pine.
what wood is this ?
It’s white pine
@@ChiseledOutdoorsCC thank you for answer , i m very new for wood carving, is it best wood “ pine” or walnut tree? also how do you find this woods? thank you
@@Mecit786 I can't speak to walnut because I've never carved it before. Pine is great for beginners though. It's soft and holds decent detail. I get mine from a local sawmill, so I'd check around where you live to see if any sawmills have any.
@@ChiseledOutdoorsCC thank you for replay , i m very beginner and i m very curious , i ll ask u lots of questions , please don t block me :)
Incredible
Thanks
