Is it possible for the acid on the wiring to cause problems with the TCM? Began to have the same starting problem along with jerking whenever I shift gears.
What was the problem? Cause I’m having the exact same problem on my 2010 lacrosse and I’ve changed the ECM, ignition switch, the lock cylinder and still can’t figure it out
My 08 buick lacrosse Super has issues cranking. Cranks when it feels like it. Checked the fuses and they seemed fine only the fuel pump fuse was burnt. Changed it made no difference, I've changed the battery 3 times in the last yr( thank God for 2yr warranties). No clue what's going on with it. Alot of times the running light don't work which is fun at night. High beam and fog lights work fine. I changed the automatic light sensor so I know that's not the issue, inside gets brighter at night as it should. Manual doesn't make them turn in either though the dash would tell me they are on. If wasn't for the v8 I would trade this thing in for something with less issues.
I’ve seen a lot of wire damage but haven’t ever had a battery acid wire damage. Thank you for sharing , it will be something else to look for beside rat chews.
Hey I have the same car and same problem except my sensor wire is broke . Do you know if that’s a simple fix? Like can I just get the sensor wire replaced or do they have to fix the whole negative cord ??
Wow. Wish mine was this easy to fix. I'm told the timing chain needs to be replaced on my 2007 buick lacrosse. I've only got 108k miles on it and 2 weeks after I got a 1k tuneup, my car wouldn't Starr. Wouldn't turn over. Now they want 4k to fix it. Does that sound right to anybody??

Having a similar issue with a 2011 Lacrosse that I thought was the BCM. Going to check the wires now.

That's so weird, my 2011 does the same thing. It even makes noise like there's a physical problem with the engine, yet starts perfect otherwise.
Now charge them up JK😂
